Based on the complementary advantages of Line Commutated Converter(LCC)and Modular Multilevel Converter(MMC)in power grid applications,there are two types of hybrid DC system topologies:one is the parallel connection of LCC converter stations and MMC converter stations,and the other is the series connection of LCC and MMC converter stations within a single station.The hybrid DC transmission system faces broad application prospects and development potential in large-scale clean energy integration across regions and the construction of a new power system dominated by new energy sources in China.This paper first analyzes the system forms and topological characteristics of hybrid DC transmission,introducing the forms and topological characteristics of converter-level hybrid DC transmission systems and system-level hybrid DC transmission systems.Next,it analyzes the operating characteristics of LCC and MMC inverter-level hybrid DC transmission systems,provides insights into the transient stability of hybrid DC transmission systems,and typical fault ride-through control strategies.Finally,it summarizes the networking characteristics of the LCC-MMC series within the converter station hybrid DC transmission system,studies the transient characteristics and fault ridethrough control strategies under different fault types for the LCC-MMC series in the receiving-end converter station,and investigates the transient characteristics and fault ride-through control strategies under different fault types for the LCC-MMC series in the sending-end converter station. 展开更多

Ultra-high voltage(UHV)transmission lines are an important part of China’s power grid and are often surrounded by a complex electromagnetic environment.The ground total electric field is considered a main electromagnetic environment indicator of UHV transmission lines and is currently employed for reliable long-term operation of the power grid.Yet,the accurate prediction of the ground total electric field remains a technical challenge.In this work,we collected the total electric field data from the Ningdong-Zhejiang±800 kV UHVDC transmission project,as of the Ling Shao line,and perform an outlier analysis of the total electric field data.We show that the Local Outlier Factor(LOF)elimination algorithm has a small average difference and overcomes the performance of Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise(DBSCAN)and Isolated Forest elimination algorithms.Moreover,the Stacking algorithm has been found to have superior prediction accuracy than a variety of similar prediction algorithms,including the traditional finite element.The low prediction error of the Stacking algorithm highlights the superior ability to accurately forecast the ground total electric field of UHVDC transmission lines. 展开更多

The hybrid dc circuit breaker(HCB)has the advantages of fast action speed and low operating loss,which is an idealmethod for fault isolation ofmulti-terminal dc grids.Formulti-terminal dc grids that transmit power through overhead lines,HCBs are required to have reclosing capability due to the high fault probability and the fact that most of the faults are temporary faults.To avoid the secondary fault strike and equipment damage that may be caused by the reclosing of the HCB when the permanent fault occurs,an adaptive reclosing scheme based on traveling wave injection is proposed in this paper.The scheme injects traveling wave signal into the fault dc line through the additionally configured auxiliary discharge branch in the HCB,and then uses the reflection characteristic of the traveling wave signal on the dc line to identify temporary and permanent faults,to be able to realize fast reclosing when the temporary fault occurs and reliably avoid reclosing after the permanent fault occurs.The test results in the simulation model of the four-terminal dc grid show that the proposed adaptive reclosing scheme can quickly and reliably identify temporary and permanent faults,greatly shorten the power outage time of temporary faults.In addition,it has the advantages of easiness to implement,high reliability,robustness to high-resistance fault and no dead zone,etc. 展开更多

为充分利用双有源桥DC-DC变换器的容量,减小无功功率,提升工作效率,提出一种基于变换器移相控制统一模型的基波环流优化控制策略。通过引入基波移相比对变换器的所有移相控制方式进行统一描述,并采用傅里叶分解法建立全桥交流电压及电... 为充分利用双有源桥DC-DC变换器的容量,减小无功功率,提升工作效率,提出一种基于变换器移相控制统一模型的基波环流优化控制策略。通过引入基波移相比对变换器的所有移相控制方式进行统一描述,并采用傅里叶分解法建立全桥交流电压及电感电流的统一模型。该统一模型降低了多控制变量下变换器多模态分析的复杂性,适用于不同移相控制的所有工作模式,具有普适性。基于频域分析法和功率因数角,构建变换器传输功率及无功功率的统一数学模型。在此基础上,提出考虑无功基波分量的环流优化控制策略,并对传导损耗进行建模与分析。该策略简单有效,能够很好地减小变换器无功功率和改善系统效率,更有利于工程实际的应用。搭建了实验平台,对比了所提基波环流优化控制策略与传统移相控制方式下变换器的功率因数及变换效率,仿真和实验结果验证了理论分析的正确性和所提控制策略的可行性。 展开更多

DC-DC变换器可以同时进行功率变换和数据传输。针对较低通信速率限制功率/数据复合传输(power/data multiplexing transmission,PDMT)应用的难题,提出一种联合功率量/载波调制(joint power/carrier modulation,JPCM)的新方案。与传统二进制PDMT方案不同,JPCM同时对功率量/载波进行2FSK调制,实现两种数据并行传输,可以看作一种四进制FSK,有效提高通信速率。相较于传统四进制PDMT方案,JPCM方案解调环节所需带通滤波器数目可减少一半,且软件开销更低。首先,证明PDMT在理论上的可行性;然后,根据4种不同电压纹波频率配置不同码元,并设计了包含高低数据位调制的JPCM和基于滑动傅里叶变换的数据解调方案;此外,重点分析输出参考电压突变对通信的影响,动态调整阈值可有效抑制误码;最后,搭建一个由2个Buck变换器并联的实验装置,实验结果表明在稳态、负载突变和输出参考电压突变的工况下,JPCM方案均能实现20 kb/s的通信速率,验证了该方案的有效性。 展开更多

直流故障保护是柔性直流输电系统发展面临的主要挑战之一,利用模块化多电平换流器(MMC)的灵活控制实现限流已成为当前研究的热点。MMC的主动限流降低了故障电流变化率和故障电流幅值,易引起故障判断以及保护选择困难。文中以对称单极接... 直流故障保护是柔性直流输电系统发展面临的主要挑战之一,利用模块化多电平换流器(MMC)的灵活控制实现限流已成为当前研究的热点。MMC的主动限流降低了故障电流变化率和故障电流幅值,易引起故障判断以及保护选择困难。文中以对称单极接线的柔性直流系统为研究对象,采用控保协同思想,将主动限流控制与故障识别相结合,提出了基于主动限流因子的故障区域识别与区分方法实现双极短路故障的区域识别与切除。首先,通过在MMC电流内环控制器中附加故障电流目标预设控制器,在故障发生后可快速跟踪故障电流的变化,自适应地调整MMC输出的直流电压将故障电流控制在预设目标参考值附近;其次,根据不同故障位置时故障电流目标预设控制器输出的限流因子快速确定故障区域。最后,在PSCAD/EMTDC中对四端柔性直流输电系统的不同故障场景进行了仿真分析,验证了所提控保协同策略的可行性和有效性。 展开更多

This paper proposes a hybrid submodule modular multilevel converter(MMC)topology which is suitable for multi terminal direct current(MTDC)transmission systems.Each arm of the proposed MMC topology consists of a half-bridge submodule(HBSM)branch and two parallel full-bridge submodule(FBSM)branches.Comparing with the conventional MTDC transmission system,the proposed topology can selectively block the DC fault current and isolate the corresponding fault line without expensive DC circuit breakers(DCCBs).Thus,the influence range of the DC fault can be reduced and the reliability of the power supply can be improved as well.The corresponding modulation and voltage balancing strategies are developed for the proposed hybrid MMC topology.The feasibility of the proposed topology and control strategy is verified in the MATLAB/Simulink simulation. 展开更多

This study proposes that these two factors have led to new requirements for HVDC control strategies. Moreover, due to the diverse applications of HVDC transmission technology, each station in the system has different requirements. The control system of voltage source converter HVDC (VSC-HVDC) is complex and its fault tolerance ability is not sufficient, and correct rate of line protection device is not high. A novel pilot protection for VSC-HVDC transmission lines based on correlation analysis is proposed in this paper. In the principle, external fault is equivalent to a positive capacitance model, so the correlation coefficient of the current and voltage derivative is 1;while the internal fault is equivalent to a negative capacitance model, so the correlation coefficient of the current and voltage derivative is -1. Internal faults and external faults can be distinguished by judging the correlation coefficient. Theoretical analysis and PSCAD simulation experiments show that the new principle, which is simple, not affected by transition resistance, control type and line distributed capacitance current, can identify internal faults and external faults reliably and rapidly, having certain practical value. 展开更多

A method for computing DC steady-state solutions in complex frequency-domain is put forward. It starts with complex frequency-domain transmission line equations, obtains the complex expressions of voltage and current at zero initial states, and find the DC steady-state solutions of voltage and current by using the fina value theorem of Laplace transform thory. The solutions are discussed with special internal resistances of DC voltage source and loads. A case study demonstrated that the proposed method is applicable to acquiring the DC steady-state voltage waveform and current waveform without first obtaining the analytic solutions. 展开更多

The stability merits of multi terminal DC (MTDC) tie lines as compared to the traditional HVAC forms the main objective of this paper. Probabilistic load flow (PLF) is applied to determine the system parameters while the uncertainties are modelled using Scenario Based Method (SBM). The simulation results reveal that with the use of MTDC tie lines, the frequency and voltage stability in the MAMODED with renewable energy sources (RES) are enhanced while keeping the MTDC power exchange interface nodes at secure levels. 展开更多

白鹤滩—江苏±800k V特高压直流输电工程于2022年7月1日在中国投运,在世界上首次创造性地研发应用了特高压混合级联直流输电新技术方案。基于此系统背景对逆变侧电网换相换流器(line commutated converter,LCC)进行具有一定时间裕... 白鹤滩—江苏±800k V特高压直流输电工程于2022年7月1日在中国投运,在世界上首次创造性地研发应用了特高压混合级联直流输电新技术方案。基于此系统背景对逆变侧电网换相换流器(line commutated converter,LCC)进行具有一定时间裕度的后续换相失败预判。分析了LCC控制器对电气量的控制作用和模块化多电平换流器(modular multilevel converters,MMC)对LCC的电压支撑作用,明确了混合级联直流输电系统逆变侧LCC发生后续换相失败的机理。推导了逆变侧LCC在首次换相失败后恢复过程末期关断角与故障后线路传输功率最小值的关系,定义了阈值功率的概念。然后建立了关断角与阈值功率的定量关系,提出一种故障后直流传输功率最小值与功率阈值相比较的后续换相失败预判方法。最后在PSCAD/EMTDC中搭建了相应的仿真模型,验证了理论分析和预测方法的准确性。 展开更多
