WhatsApp messaging service has emerged as the most popular messaging app on mobile devices today. It uses end-to-end encryption which makes government and secret services efforts to combat organized crime, terrorists, and child pornographers technically impossible. Governments would like a “backdoor” into such apps, to use in accessing messages and have emphasized that they will only use the “backdoor” if there is a credible threat to national security. Users of WhatsApp have however, argued against a “backdoor”;they claim a “backdoor” would not only be an infringement of their privacy, but that hackers could also take advantage of it. In light of this security and privacy conflict between the end users of WhatsApp and government’s need to access messages in order to thwart potential terror attacks, this paper presents the advantages of maintaining E2EE in WhatsApp and why governments should not be allowed a “backdoor” to access users’ messages. Education 4.0 is being authorized more and more by the design of artificial intelligence(AI)techniques.Higher education institutions(HEI)have started to utilize Internet technologies to improve the quality of the serv...Education 4.0 is being authorized more and more by the design of artificial intelligence(AI)techniques.Higher education institutions(HEI)have started to utilize Internet technologies to improve the quality of the service and boost knowledge.Due to the unavailability of information technology(IT)infrastructures,HEI is vulnerable to cyberattacks.Biometric authentication can be used to authenticate a person based on biological features such as face,fingerprint,iris,and so on.This study designs a novel search and rescue optimization with deep learning based learning authentication technique for cybersecurity in higher education institutions,named SRODLLAC technique.The proposed SRODL-LAC technique aims to authenticate the learner/student in HEI using fingerprint biometrics.Besides,the SRODLLACtechnique designs a median filtering(MF)based preprocessing approach to improving the quality of the image.In addition,the Densely Connected Networks(DenseNet-77)model is applied for the extraction of features.Moreover,search and rescue optimization(SRO)algorithm with deep neural network(DNN)model is utilized for the classification process.Lastly,template matching process is done for fingerprint identification.A wide range of simulation analyses is carried out and the results are inspected under several aspects.The experimental results reported the effective performance of the SRODL-LAC technique over the other methodologies.展开更多

There are many states and potential adversaries, who have the potential and capacity in cyberspace, which makes them able to carry out cyber-attacks in the future. Some of them are currently conducting surveillance, gathering and analysis of technical information, and mapping of networks and nodes and infrastructure of opponents, which may be exploited in future conflicts. This paper uses qualitative data to develop a conceptual framework for awareness of cyberterrorism threat from the viewpoint of experts and security officials in critical infrastructure. 文摘Education has been identified as one of the best financial investitment any government can make.Education is a human right and indispensible means of realising other human right..Studies has shown that a good basic education is a sine qua non for subsequent progress in the life of an average citezen.The Nationalm Policy on Education 2004 opined that basic education is the key to the success or failure of the whole system since the rest of the education is built on it.A good basic education provides a background and foundation that gruarantees better educational attainment in the future.The Universal Declarattion of Human Right in article 13(1)of the convention stated that“education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality”.It also added in Article 13(2)that primary education must be universal,ensure that basic learning needs of all children are satisfied and take into account the culture,needs and opportunities of the community.The above stated policies and conventions have serious implication for the financing and management of educational programmes and provision of funds for the realization of the objectives of basic education.Based on this therefore,the paper focused on the discusion of brief over view of universal primary education,conceptual clarification,impact of universal basic education on national development,issues in universal basic education and national developmen.The papewr finally made some suggestions on the way out in solving problems facing universal basic education in Nigeria.
文摘The revolution of computing and networks could revolutionise terrorism in the same way that it has brought about changes in other aspects of life. The modern technological era has faced countries with a new set of security challenges. There are many states and potential adversaries, who have the potential and capacity in cyberspace, which makes them able to carry out cyber-attacks in the future. Some of them are currently conducting surveillance, gathering and analysis of technical information, and mapping of networks and nodes and infrastructure of opponents, which may be exploited in future conflicts. This paper uses qualitative data to develop a conceptual framework for awareness of cyberterrorism threat from the viewpoint of experts and security officials in critical infrastructure. Empirical data collected from in-depth interviews were analysed using grounded theory approach. This study applied to Saudi Arabia as a case study.
文摘Are we riding the fourth wave of democracy,as predicted by Toffler(1984)and Huntington(1991),a post-capitalist,post-global wave?Western liberal democracy is currently responding to the dramatic change in the economic system after capitalism,the coronavirus pandemic,and the growing power of nationalist and fundamentalist ideologies.Does this process indicates a change in Western democracy or is it the end of democracy and what is the role of civic education within it?In Israel,as in other Western countries,the nationalist and fundamentalist ideologies(gained strength,undermining liberalism)threaten the conception of global citizenship and strive to shape a model of an illiberal democracy.In Israel,contrary to other Western countries,they also threaten civic equality and the very existence of the democratic rule.In the absence of a constitution and consensus,Israel is experiencing culture and religious war over values,identity and the concept of“citizenship”as a legal,political,and social framework.Thus,the struggle over civic education reflects the struggle over educational hegemony,as well as over national hegemony.In this process,nationalists and fundamentalists initiate anti-democratic legislation,violate human rights,obstruct government supervisory mechanisms,and expand ideological education in order to change Israel‟s character to a Jewish state rather than a Jewish and democratic state.
文摘National security faces the challenge of the "cross- national- sovereignty-management"model and the"commons"mode. Based on hypothesis,cross- regional security net is formed. As for China,it attaches importance to sovereign states and nations,pursuing the relatively stable evaluation of the international community. And based on the national memory and national communication,the state security awareness provides possibility for surpassing the so- called universal value of the West.

文摘Through the survey on status of cultural confidence and rural cultural revitalization consciousness cultivation based on English education in Yi Nationality Region of Leshan City,aiming at cultivating students’cultural revitalization consciousness,the paper gives some strategies to effectively improve the quality of English education and improve students’cultural confidence,such as to strengthen teacher training,develop school-based textbooks of local culture,carry out collective lesson preparation and regular thematic teaching and research activities,strengthen communication and teaching reflection,etc.
