Research Progress and Trends in Organizational Resilience Research: Knowledge Graph Analysis Based on CiteSpace

Organizational resilience is an important core element for today’s companies to turn around in the VUCA<sup>1</sup> environment. It can strengthen the ability of companies to adapt and help them to regain their strength in adversity. In this paper, based on CNKI database and WOS (Web of Science) database search to get the Chinese and foreign literature (special reference to English literature) for the whole year 2000-2022, and use bibliometric method to analyze the hot spots and research trends in the field of organizational resilience research, the results found that: 1) there is more foreign-language research literature on tissue toughness than Chinese-language research literature, and the number of articles published in Chinese journals on this topic has entered a rapid growth phase since 2011, and the number of articles published both at home and abroad is generally on the rise, and tissue toughness is increasingly becoming a research hotspot;2) from the cooperation of existing published literature, the cooperation network between research scholars is generally more dispersed, and domestic scholars are mostly independent;3) From the viewpoint of research hotspots, individual resilience, supply chain resilience and risk management are hotspots in foreign organizational resilience research;domestic research mainly focuses on the connotation and measurement dimensions of organizational resilience, individual resilience and dynamic capabilities. 展开更多

The concepts of business continuity management,operational resilience,and organizational resilience each refer to actions that businesses and organizations can take in anticipating and responding to disruptions.However,the existing definitions and usages are difficult to differentiate due to overlapping objectives,implementation processes,and outcomes.This article examines definitions and approaches for these three concepts and suggest a framework to operationalize methods and tools relevant to each.These definitions emphasize three dyads:risk versus resilience;organizational processes versus assets;and normal operating conditions versus crisis conditions.Using these dyads to differentiate the concepts of business continuity management,operational resilience,and organizational resilience can support planners in clarifying objectives and identifying which approach will be most beneficial as businesses or organizations plan for and encounter disruptions.This article evaluates these concepts by examining illustrative examples of disruptions and responses. 展开更多

This study assessed the influence of occupational stress,individual resilience,and organizational resilience on the safety performance of healthcare providers during the COVID-19 pandemic.Demographic variables including age,work experience,and gender were explored.Data were collected from 344 healthcare providers employed at a teaching hospital.The entropy method and the multi-criteria decision-making(MCDM)method were used to examine the influence of occupational stress,individual resilience,and organizational resilience on the safe performance of healthcare providers.The results of the entropy method showed that organizational resilience was the most influential factor in the safe performance of older healthcare providers.In contrast,individual resilience was the most significant factor in enhancing the safety performance of younger healthcare providers.Analyses of work experience indicated that individual resilience was the most influential factor in the safe performance of less experienced healthcare providers.Gender-based analysis revealed that individual resilience had a major effect on the safety performance of both women and men.The findings of this study could assist managers in improving the performance of the healthcare sector during pandemics by using and implementing resilience concepts at both the individual and organizational levels. 展开更多
