Experimental study on the interrelation of multiple mechanical parameters in overburden rock caving process during coal mining in longwall panel

In order to comprehend the dynamic disaster mechanism induced by overburden rock caving during the advancement of a coal mining face, a physical simulation model is constructed basing on the geological condition of the 21221 mining face at Qianqiu coal mine in Henan Province, China. This study established, a comprehensive monitoring system to investigate the interrelations and evolutionary characteristics among multiple mechanical parameters, including mining-induced stress, displacement, temperature, and acoustic emission events during overburden rock caving. It is suggested that, despite the uniformity of the overburden rock caving interval, the main characteristic of overburden rock lies in its uneven caving strength. The mining-induced stress exhibits a reasonable interrelation with the displacement, temperature, and acoustic emission events of the rock strata. With the advancement of the coal seam, the mining-induced stress undergoes four successive stages: gentle stability, gradual accumulation, high-level mutation, and a return to stability. The variations in other mechanical parameters does not synchronize with the signifcant changes in mining-induced stress. Before the collapse of overburden rock occurs, rock strata temperature increment decreases and the acoustic emission ringing counts surges with the increase of rock strata displacement and mining-induced stress. Therefore, the collaborative characteristics of mining-induced stress, displacement, temperature, and acoustic emission ringing counts can be identifed as the precursor information or overburden rock caving. These results are in good consistent with on-site situation in the coal mine. 展开更多

Understanding the spatiotemporal evolution of overburden deformation during coal mining is still a challenge in engineering practice due to the limitation of monitoring techniques. Taking the Yangliu Coal Mine as an example, a similarity model test was designed and conducted to investigate the deformation and failure mechanism of overlying rocks in this study. Distributed fiber optic sensing(DFOS), highdensity electrical resistivity tomography(HD-ERT) and close-range photogrammetry(CRP) technologies were used in the test for comprehensive analyses. The combined use of the three methods facilitates the investigation of the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of overburden deformation, showing that the mining-induced deformation of overburden strata was a dynamic evolution process. This process was accompanied by the formation, propagation, closure and redevelopment of separation cracks.Moreover, the key rock stratum with high strength and high-quality lithology played a crucial role in the whole process of overburden deformation. There were generally three failure modes of overburden rock layers, including bending and tension, overall shearing, and shearing and sliding. Shear failure often leads to overburden falling off in blocks, which poses a serious threat to mining safety. Therefore, realtime and accurate monitoring of overburden deformation is of great significance for the safe mining of underground coal seams. 展开更多

[目的]研究桃叶珊瑚苷(AU)对胶质母细胞瘤(GBM)细胞活力和上皮间质转化(EMT)的影响,并对其作用机制进行探讨。[方法]将U87细胞随机分为对照组、AU低浓度组、AU中浓度组、AU高浓度组、Y-27632组、AU高浓度+Y-27632组。细胞计数器试剂盒(CCK-8)法检测细胞活力,流式细胞术检测细胞凋亡,Transwell小室实验检测细胞迁移和侵袭,蛋白免疫印迹法(Western Blot)检测基质金属蛋白酶(MMP)2、MMP9、波形蛋白(Vimentin)、上皮钙黏蛋白(E-cadherin)、神经钙黏蛋白(N-cadherin)、Ras同源基因家族成员A(RhoA)、Rho相关卷曲螺旋蛋白激酶(ROCK)1、ROCK2表达。构建GBM裸鼠模型,随机分为裸鼠对照组、AU组、Y-27632组、AU+Y-27632组,测量肿瘤质量与体积,免疫组化法检测移植瘤组织RhoA、ROCK1、ROCK2蛋白表达。[结果]GBM细胞活力随着AU浓度的升高而逐渐降低(P<0.05),选择U87作为后续实验细胞,选择10、25、50μmol/L浓度作为AU后续实验浓度。与对照组比较,AU低、中、高浓度组和Y-27632组细胞活力、迁移和侵袭细胞数、MMP2、MMP9、N-cadherin、Vimentin、RhoA、ROCK1、ROCK2表达显著下降,凋亡率、E-cadherin表达显著升高(P<0.05),其中高浓度AU和Y-27632组共同处理的细胞变化更显著(P<0.05)。AU和Y-27632均能抑制移植瘤质量和体积,降低RhoA/ROCK信号通路蛋白表达(P<0.05)。[结论]AU能抑制GBM细胞活力、迁移侵袭和EMT,促进细胞凋亡,其作用机制可能与抑制RhoA/ROCK信号通路有关。 展开更多

目的检测lncRNA SLC9A3-AS1在肾透明细胞癌(clear cell renal cell carcinoma,ccRCC)组织与肾癌细胞中的表达水平,探讨其促进肾癌细胞恶性生物学行为的机制。方法应用GEPIA2在线软件(http://gepia2.cancer-pku.cn/)分析TCGA数据库中SLC9... 目的检测lncRNA SLC9A3-AS1在肾透明细胞癌(clear cell renal cell carcinoma,ccRCC)组织与肾癌细胞中的表达水平,探讨其促进肾癌细胞恶性生物学行为的机制。方法应用GEPIA2在线软件(http://gepia2.cancer-pku.cn/)分析TCGA数据库中SLC9A3-AS1在ccRCC组织中的表达水平;采用实时荧光定量聚合酶链反应(qRT-PCR)检测SLC9A3-AS1在不同肾癌细胞系、24例ccRCC组织与癌旁正常肾脏组织中的表达水平;应用细胞增殖/毒性检测试剂盒(cell counting kit-8,CCK-8)和Transwell小室迁移实验检测敲低SLC9A3-AS1表达对肾癌细胞增殖与迁移的影响;应用蛋白质免疫印迹法检测增殖与迁移相关信号通路蛋白的表达水平;采用双荧光素酶报告基因实验验证SLC9A3-AS1与miR-148a-3p/ROCK1轴的靶向调控关系。结果GEPIA2软件分析结果显示,相较正常肾脏组织,SLC9A3-AS1在肾透明细胞癌组织中表达显著上调(P<0.01)。qRT-PCR结果显示,相较癌旁正常肾脏组织,SLC9A3-AS1在24例ccRCC组织中表达显著上调(P<0.01);相较永生化肾小管上皮细胞,SLC9A3-AS1在4种肾癌细胞系中表达均显著上调,以786-O细胞最为显著(P<0.01)。干扰SLC9A3-AS1表达,可显著抑制786-O细胞的增殖与迁移能力,上调E-cadherin的蛋白表达水平,而下调N-cadherin、MMP2的蛋白表达水平(均P<0.05);过表达miR-148a-3p可显著抑制786-O细胞的增殖与迁移能力(P<0.01)。双荧光素酶报告基因检测结果表明,SLC9A3-AS1可特异性结合miR-148a-3p,后者进一步靶向结合ROCK1 mRNA的3′UTR区域;过表达miR-148a-3p可明显下调ROCK1 mRNA的表达水平,敲低miR-148a-3p表达则产生相反的效应;敲低SLC9A3-AS1表达可显著下调786-O细胞中ROCK1 mRNA与蛋白的表达水平(P<0.01);下调miR-148a-3p表达可部分逆转SLC9A3-AS1沉默对786-O细胞增殖与迁移的抑制作用(P<0.05)。结论SLC9A3-AS1在ccRCC中通过调控miR-148a-3p/ROCK1轴发挥促癌作用,有望成为ccRCC的一个新的分子标志物。 展开更多

目的 观察艾灸联合保真汤加减治疗糖尿病肾病气阴两虚证的临床疗效及对CT灌注参数、Rho/ROCK信号通路蛋白的影响。方法 将146例糖尿病肾病气阴两虚证患者随机分为观察组(74例)和对照组(72例)。在对症治疗的基础上,对照组给予厄贝沙坦片... 目的 观察艾灸联合保真汤加减治疗糖尿病肾病气阴两虚证的临床疗效及对CT灌注参数、Rho/ROCK信号通路蛋白的影响。方法 将146例糖尿病肾病气阴两虚证患者随机分为观察组(74例)和对照组(72例)。在对症治疗的基础上,对照组给予厄贝沙坦片,观察组给予艾灸联合保真汤加减。观察两组中医主症积分、CT灌注参数[血尿素氮(blood urea nitrogen, BUN)、血肌酐(serum creatinine, SCr)、尿白蛋白排泄率(urinary albumin excretion rate, UAER)和24 h尿蛋白定量(24-hour urinary protein quantification, 24 h Upro)]、肾血流指标[舒张末期血流速度(end-diastolic velocity, EDV)、肾段动脉的收缩期峰值流速(peak-systolic velocity, PSV)、搏动指数(pulsatility index, PI)和阻力指数(resistive index, RI)]、血清炎性因子[肿瘤坏死因子-α(tumor necrosis factor-α, TNF-α)、白细胞介素-1β(interleukin-1β, IL-1β)、白细胞介素-6(interleukin-6, IL-6)和C反应蛋白(C-reactive protein, CRP)]水平及Rho/ROCK信号通路[Ras同源基因家族成员A(Ras homolog gene family member A, RhoA)、Rho关联含卷曲螺旋蛋白激酶Ⅰ(Rho-associated coiled-coil containing protein kinaseⅠ, ROCKI)、α-平滑肌肌动蛋白(α-smooth muscle actin, α-SMA)和钙黏附蛋白-E(E-cadherin, E-Cad)]蛋白水平,并比较两组临床疗效及不良反应。结果 观察组总有效率为97.3%(72/74),明显高于对照组的81.9%(59/72)(P<0.05)。观察组治疗后中医主症积分低于治疗前和对照组(P<0.05)。两组治疗后CT灌注参数降低(P<0.05),且观察组低于对照组(P<0.05)。观察组治疗后PSV、EDV较治疗前和对照组加快(P<0.05),RI、PI较治疗前和对照组降低(P<0.05)。观察组治疗后血清炎性因子水平较治疗前和对照组降低(P<0.05)。观察组治疗后Rho A、ROCKI、α-SMA蛋白水平较治疗前和对照组降低(P<0.05),E-Cad蛋白水平较治疗前和对照组升高(P<0.05)。观察组不良反应发生率为1.4%(1/74),低于对照组的19.4%(14/72)(P<0.05)。结论 在对症治疗的基础上,艾灸联合保真汤加减可明显提高糖尿病肾病气阴两虚证患者的治疗效果,其机制可能与改善CT灌注参数,调节血清Rho/ROCK信号通路蛋白相关。 展开更多

基于Rho/Rock通路研究麝香心痛宁抗大鼠血管损伤后内膜增生的机制研究

目的观察麝香心痛宁抗大鼠血管损伤后内膜增生的作用及可能的作用机制。方法30只SD大鼠随机分为假手术组、模型对照组和麝香心痛宁组。采用球囊损伤法制备大鼠腹主动脉血管损伤模型,造模后灌胃给予大鼠麝香心痛宁片(200 mg·kg^(-1)... 目的观察麝香心痛宁抗大鼠血管损伤后内膜增生的作用及可能的作用机制。方法30只SD大鼠随机分为假手术组、模型对照组和麝香心痛宁组。采用球囊损伤法制备大鼠腹主动脉血管损伤模型,造模后灌胃给予大鼠麝香心痛宁片(200 mg·kg^(-1)),14 d后将大鼠处死,取其血清及腹主动脉,主动脉血管进行HE染色,检测血清超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、丙二醛(MDA)、单核细胞趋化因子-1(MCP-1)及谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-Px)含量,ELISA法检测大鼠血管组织一氧化氮(NO)、内皮素-1(ET-1)、血管内皮生长因子(VEGF)和白细胞介素-1β(IL-1β)的含量,实时荧光定量PCR和Western blotting检测Rho、Rock1和Rock2 mRNA和蛋白的表达。结果与假手术组比较,模型对照组大鼠腹主动脉血管组织内膜增生,腹主动脉血管部位弹力变弱且管壁增厚。麝香心痛宁治疗后血管内膜损伤程度减轻。与模型对照组相比,麝香心痛宁组大鼠血清SOD、GSH-Px活性升高,MCP-1、MDA活性降低(P<0.05);血管组织NO含量升高,ET-1、VEGF和IL-1β含量降低(P<0.05);Rho/Rock通路相关因子Rock1、Rock2、Rho的表达降低(P<0.05)。结论麝香心痛宁可抑制血管损伤后内膜增生,其作用机制可能与抑制Rho/Rock信号通路有关。 展开更多

目的:本研究旨在探讨黄芩苷(Baicalin)对氯化钴(CoCl_(2))诱导H9c2心肌细胞缺氧损伤的作用机制。方法:采用CoCl_(2)建立心肌细胞缺氧损伤模型,并分别加入不同浓度的黄芩苷培养。将正常氧培养设置为对照组,CoCl_(2)培养H9c2心肌细胞设置... 目的:本研究旨在探讨黄芩苷(Baicalin)对氯化钴(CoCl_(2))诱导H9c2心肌细胞缺氧损伤的作用机制。方法:采用CoCl_(2)建立心肌细胞缺氧损伤模型,并分别加入不同浓度的黄芩苷培养。将正常氧培养设置为对照组,CoCl_(2)培养H9c2心肌细胞设置为CoCl_(2)组;Baicalin、Y27632(Rho激酶抑制剂)预处理的H9c2缺氧心肌细胞设置为CoCl_(2)+Baicalin组、CoCl_(2)+Y27632组、CoCl_(2)+Baicalin+Y27632组。通过细胞毒性检测试剂盒(CCK8)检测细胞活性;荧光探针测定细胞中活性氧(ROS)的表达;WST-8检测心肌细胞超氧化歧化酶(SOD)活力;TBA法测定丙二醇(MDA)浓度;同时采用WesternBlot方法分析RhoA、ROCK1、ROCK2、TNF-α、IL-1β蛋白表达情况。结果:处理H9c2细胞24 h后,1 000μmol/L的CoCl_(2)和75μmol/L黄芩苷对治疗心肌细胞缺氧损伤具有较好的细胞活力。CoCl_(2)组细胞活性明显低于对照组,加入黄芩苷后可显著提高细胞活性(P<0.05);与对照组相比,CoCl_(2)组心肌细胞可上调ROS、MDA表达,下调SOD活力,升高RhoA、ROCK1、ROCK2、TNF-α、IL-1β蛋白表达水平,加入Baicalin后可逆转上诉蛋白的表达水平;与CoCl_(2)组相比,CoCl_(2)+Baicalin可抑制ROS、MDA的表达,上调SOD含量,下调RhoA、ROCK1、ROCK2、TNF-α、IL-1β蛋白表达水平,而加入Y27632(Rho激酶抑制剂)后则可显著增强Baicalin带来的保护作用。结论:Baicalin可减轻CoCl_(2)诱导H9c2心肌细胞缺氧损伤的炎症、氧化应激反应,其机制与抑制ROS依赖性RhoA/ROCK通路有关。 展开更多

目的探讨炎调方调控Rho/ROCK信号通路对脓毒症急性胃肠损伤小鼠肠上皮细胞凋亡的影响。方法取70只BALB/c小鼠随机分为空白组、假手术组和造模小鼠。除空白组、假手术组外,各组小鼠均采用盲肠结扎穿孔术(cecum ligation and puncture,CLP... 目的探讨炎调方调控Rho/ROCK信号通路对脓毒症急性胃肠损伤小鼠肠上皮细胞凋亡的影响。方法取70只BALB/c小鼠随机分为空白组、假手术组和造模小鼠。除空白组、假手术组外,各组小鼠均采用盲肠结扎穿孔术(cecum ligation and puncture,CLP)构建脓毒症急性胃肠损伤小鼠模型,将造模成功的小鼠随机分为模型组、炎调方低、中、高剂量组和ROCK抑制剂组。采用HE染色观察小鼠回肠组织病理学改变;ELISA法检测各组小鼠血清IL-1β、IL-6、TNF-α、IL-10水平;免疫组织化学检测观察PCNA、Ki-67的表达;蛋白印迹法检测回肠组织凋亡指标cleaved caspase3蛋白、Bax蛋白表达;RT-qPCR检测小鼠回肠组织ROCK mRNA、MLC mRNA表达。结果较空白组和假手术组相比,模型组小鼠的Chiu’s病理评分、促炎介质(IL-1β、IL-6、TNF-α)水平、cleaved caspase3蛋白、Bax蛋白、ROCK mRNA、MLC mRNA水平升高(P<0.05),而抑炎介质(IL-10)水平和回肠组织中PCNA、Ki-67表达降低(P<0.05)。与模型组比较,炎调方各组随着剂量增加,回肠组织病理学改变均得到不同程度改善,其Chiu’s病理评分、血清中IL-1β、IL-6、TNF-α水平、cleaved caspase3蛋白、Bax蛋白、ROCK mRNA、MLC mRNA的表达降低(P<0.05),而IL-10水平、回肠组织中PCNA、Ki-67表达升高(P<0.05)。结论炎调方可能通过调控Rho/ROCK信号通路抑制脓毒症急性胃肠损伤小鼠的肠上皮细胞凋亡,从而具有减轻肠道组织炎症反应,最终达到防止肠黏膜组织损伤的作用。 展开更多

The technology of drilling tests makes it possible to obtain the strength parameter of rock accurately in situ. In this paper, a new rock cutting analysis model that considers the influence of the rock crushing zone(RCZ) is built. The formula for an ultimate cutting force is established based on the limit equilibrium principle. The relationship between digital drilling parameters(DDP) and the c-φ parameter(DDP-cφ formula, where c refers to the cohesion and φ refers to the internal friction angle) is derived, and the response of drilling parameters and cutting ratio to the strength parameters is analyzed. The drillingbased measuring method for the c-φ parameter of rock is constructed. The laboratory verification test is then completed, and the difference in results between the drilling test and the compression test is less than 6%. On this basis, in-situ rock drilling tests in a traffic tunnel and a coal mine roadway are carried out, and the strength parameters of the surrounding rock are effectively tested. The average difference ratio of the results is less than 11%, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method for obtaining the strength parameters based on digital drilling. This study provides methodological support for field testing of rock strength parameters. 展开更多

This article reviews the current status on the dynamic behavior of highly stressed rocks under disturbances.Firstly,the experimental apparatus,methods,and theories related to the disturbance dynamics of deep,high-stress rock are reviewed,followed by the introduction of scholars’research on deep rock deformation and failure from an energy perspective.Subsequently,with a backdrop of highstress phenomena in deep hard rock,such as rock bursts and core disking,we delve into the current state of research on rock microstructure analysis and residual stresses from the perspective of studying the energy storage mechanisms in rocks.Thereafter,the current state of research on the mechanical response and the energy dissipation of highly stressed rock formations is briefly retrospected.Finally,the insufficient aspects in the current research on the disturbance and failure mechanisms in deep,highly stressed rock formations are summarized,and prospects for future research are provided.This work provides new avenues for the research on the mechanical response and damage-fracture mechanisms of rocks under high-stress conditions. 展开更多

目的探讨Rho/ROCK信号通路在束缚应激诱导大鼠杏仁核血脑屏障损伤过程中的作用及机制。方法选取60只SPF级雄性SD大鼠建立束缚应激模型,将大鼠分为4组:Control组(n=15,每日禁食水6 h);Stress组(n=15,每日束缚6 h);Stress+Fasudil组(n=15... 目的探讨Rho/ROCK信号通路在束缚应激诱导大鼠杏仁核血脑屏障损伤过程中的作用及机制。方法选取60只SPF级雄性SD大鼠建立束缚应激模型,将大鼠分为4组:Control组(n=15,每日禁食水6 h);Stress组(n=15,每日束缚6 h);Stress+Fasudil组(n=15,每日束缚6 h,束缚前0.5 h给予腹腔注射1 mg/100 g Fasudil溶液);Fasudil组(n=15,每日给予腹腔注射1 mg/100 g Fasudil溶液)。用高架十字迷宫实验(EPM)检测各组大鼠行为学变化,ELISA检测血清CORT和S100B水平,检测脑组织伊文思蓝(EB)的渗漏情况以评估渗透性的改变,免疫荧光法和Western blotting方法检测紧密连接蛋白Claudin-5、Occludin、ZO-1的表达变化,Pull-down实验和Western blotting检测Rho/ROCK通路的激活情况,透射电镜观察脑微血管内皮细胞超微结构的形态变化。结果与Control组相比,Stress组和Stress+Fasudil组大鼠表现出了明显的焦虑样行为;Stress组和Stress+Fasudil组血清CORT含量均显著高于Control组(P<0.001);与Control组和Stress+Fasudil组相比,Stress组EB渗漏含量和S100B含量均显著升高(P<0.05);Stress组紧密连接蛋白的表达显著低于Control组和Stress+Fasudil组(P<0.05);Pull-down实验和Western blot分析证实,Stress组RhoA-GTP(P<0.001)、ROCK2(P<0.001)、p-MLC2(P<0.05)的表达显著高于Control组和Stress+Fasudil组;脑微血管内皮细胞超微结构显示,Stress组呈现显著的形态学改变。结论束缚应激能够通过激活Rho/ROCK信号通路诱导大鼠杏仁核血脑屏障的损伤。 展开更多

Heat transfer and temperature evolution in overburden fracture and ground fissures are one of the essential topics for the identification of ground fissures via unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) infrared imager. In this study, discrete element software UDEC was employed to investigate the overburden fracture field under different mining conditions. Multiphysics software COMSOL were employed to investigate heat transfer and temperature evolution of overburden fracture and ground fissures under the influence of mining condition, fissure depth, fissure width, and month alternation. The UAV infrared field measurements also provided a calibration for numerical simulation. The results showed that for ground fissures connected to underground goaf(Fissure Ⅰ), the temperature difference increased with larger mining height and shallow buried depth. In addition, Fissure Ⅰ located in the boundary of the goaf have a greater temperature difference and is easier to be identified than fissures located above the mining goaf. For ground fissures having no connection to underground goaf(Fissure Ⅱ), the heat transfer is affected by the internal resistance of the overlying strata fracture when the depth of Fissure Ⅱ is greater than10 m, the temperature of Fissure Ⅱ gradually equals to the ground temperature as the fissures’ depth increases, and the fissures are difficult to be identified. The identification effect is most obvious for fissures larger than 16 cm under the same depth. In spring and summer, UAV infrared identification of mining fissures should be carried out during nighttime. This study provides the basis for the optimal time and season for the UAV infrared identification of different types of mining ground fissures. 展开更多

The mechanical behaviors of deep rocks have always posed a challenge for the implementation and safe operation of major underground engineering projects.To this end,this study modified the existing mainstream rock mechanics instruments equipped with a dynamic disturbance loading system and developed a second‐generation TFD‐2000/D triaxial instrument.The first‐generation device is equipped with an independent disturbance system and an advanced EDC‐580 all‐digital servo controller,which can apply disturbing load independently,implement the function of cyclic disturbance,and combine dynamic and static disturbances.The instrument was found to be reliable for use in analyzing the damage process of rocks in the disturbance test of marbles.The second‐generation instrument tackles three limitations of the first‐generation instrument:(i)it upgrades the strain measurement system and uses extensometers with linear variable differential transformers to accurately measure deformation;(ii)it uses the self‐balanced chamber to replace the Hoek–Franklin triaxial cell and auto‐balancing triaxial pressure chamber;and(iii)the loading rod is independently equipped with an EDC‐580 all‐digital servo controller,which measures precise loads.The experimental findings confirmed that the second‐generation instrument can be used for rock mechanics testing under cyclic disturbance loading,the disturbance–stress relaxation cycle,and the creep–fatigue cycle.In this sense,the second‐generation instrument can be a useful addition to deep rock mechanical instruments and provide a valuable reference. 展开更多

Creep constitutive model considering nonlinear creep degradation of fractured rock

Stability analysis of underground constructions requires a model study of rock masses’ long-term performance. Creep tests under different stress conditions was conducted on intact granite and granite samples fractured at 30° and 45° angles. The experimental results indicate that the steady creep strain rates of intact and fractured rock present an exponential increase trend with the increase of stress level. A nonlinear creep model is developed based on the experimental results, in which the initial damage caused by fracture together with the damage caused by constant load have been taken into consideration. The fitting analysis results indicated that the model proposed is more accurate at identifying the full creep regions in fractured granite, especially the accelerated stage of creep deformation. The least-square fit error of the proposed creep model is significantly lower than that of Nishihara model by almost an order of magnitude. An analysis of the effects of elastic modulus, viscosity coefficient, and damage factors on fractured rock strain rate and creep strain is conducted. If no consideration is given to the effects of the damage, the proposed nonlinear creep model can degenerate into to the classical Nishihara model. 展开更多

We used the geological map and published rock density measurements to compile the digital rock density model for the Hong Kong territories.We then estimated the average density for the whole territory.According to our result,the rock density values in Hong Kong vary from 2101 to 2681 kg·m^(-3).These density values are typically smaller than the average density of 2670 kg·m^(-3),often adopted to represent the average density of the upper continental crust in physical geodesy and gravimetric geophysics applications.This finding reflects that the geological configuration in Hong Kong is mainly formed by light volcanic formations and lava flows with overlying sedimentary deposits at many locations,while the percentage of heavier metamorphic rocks is very low(less than 1%).This product will improve the accuracy of a detailed geoid model and orthometric heights. 展开更多

Resilient performance of self-centering hybrid rocking walls with curved interface under pseudo-static loading

Frame and rocking wall(FRW)structures have excellent resilient performance during earthquakes.However,the concrete at interfacial corners of rocking walls(RWs)is easily crushed due to local extreme compression during the rocking process.An innovative RW with a curved interface is proposed to prevent interfacial corners from producing local damage,enhancing its earthquake resilient performance(ERP).The precast wall panel with a curved interface is assembled into an integral self-centering hybrid rocking wall(SCRW)by two post-tensioned unbonded prestressed tendons.Moreover,two ordinary energy dissipation steel rebars and two shear reinforcements are arranged to increase the energy dissipation capacity and lateral resistance.Two SCRW specimens and one monolithic reinforced concrete(RC)shear wall(SW)were tested under pseudo-static loading to compare the ERPs of the proposed SCRW and the SW,focusing on studying the effect of the curved interface on the SCRW.The key resilient performance of rocking effects,failure modes,and hysteretic properties of the SCRW were explored.The results show that nonlinear deformations of the SCRW are concentrated along the interface between the SCRW and the foundation,avoiding damage within the SCRW.The restoring force provided by the prestressed tendons can effectively realize self-centering capacity with small residual deformation,and the resilient performance of the SCRW is better than that of monolithic SW.In addition,the curved interface of the SCRW makes the rocking center change and move inward,partially relieving the stress concentration and crush of concrete.The rocking range of the rocking center is about 41.4%of the width of the SCRW. 展开更多

Knowledge about the seismic elastic modulus dispersion,and associated attenuation,in fluid-saturated rocks is essential for better interpretation of seismic observations taken as part of hydrocarbon identification and time-lapse seismic surveillance of both conventional and unconventional reservoir and overburden performances.A Seismic Elastic Moduli Module has been developed,based on the forced-oscillations method,to experimentally investigate the frequency dependence of Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio,as well as the inferred attenuation,of cylindrical samples under different confining pressure conditions.Calibration with three standard samples showed that the measured elastic moduli were consistent with the published data,indicating that the new apparatus can operate reliably over a wide frequency range of f∈[1-2000,10^(6)]Hz.The Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio of the shale and the tight sandstone samples were measured under axial stress oscillations to assess the frequency-and pressure-dependent effects.Under dry condition,both samples appear to be nearly frequency independent,with weak pressure dependence for the shale and significant pressure dependence for the sandstone.In particular,it was found that the tight sandstone with complex pore microstructure exhibited apparent dispersion and attenuation under brine or glycerin saturation conditions,the levels of which were strongly influenced by the increased effective pressure.In addition,the measured Young's moduli results were compared with the theoretical predictions from a scaled poroelastic model with a reasonably good agreement,revealing that the combined fluid flow mechanisms at both mesoscopic and microscopic scales possibly responsible for the measured dispersion. 展开更多

Rock sheds are widely used to prevent rockfall disasters along roads in mountainous areas.To improve the capacity of rock sheds for resisting rockfall impact,a sand and expandable polyethylene(EPE)composite cushion was proposed.A series of model experiments of rockfall impact on rock sheds were conducted,and the buried depth of the EPE foam board in the sand layer was considered.The impact load and dynamic response of the rock shed were investigated.The results show that the maximum impact load and dynamic response of the rock shed roof are all significantly less than those of the sand cushion.Moreover,as the distance between the EPE foam board and rock shed roof decreases,the maximum rockfall impact force and impact pressure gradually decrease,and the maximum displacement,acceleration and strain of the rock shed first decrease and then change little.In addition,the vibration acceleration and vertical displacement of the rock shed roof decrease from the centre to the edge and decrease faster along the longitudinal direction than that along the transverse direction.In conclusion,the buffering effect of the sand-EPE composite cushion is better than that of the pure sand cushion,and the EPE foam board at a depth of 1/3 the thickness of the sand layer is appropriate. 展开更多
