Objective:This study aims to explore the impact of personalized education on the awareness rate of protective knowledge among inpatients newly treated for pulmonary tuberculosis.Methods:325 initial pulmonary tuberculo...Objective:This study aims to explore the impact of personalized education on the awareness rate of protective knowledge among inpatients newly treated for pulmonary tuberculosis.Methods:325 initial pulmonary tuberculosis inpatients admitted to our hospital between January 2018 and December 2022 were selected as the research subjects.Using the randomized controlled trial method,they were divided into an experimental group of 163 cases and a control group of 162 cases.The experimental group received personalized education,including personalized guidance on patients'disease awareness,treatment compliance,and preventive measures.The control group received routine health education.After the experiment,the awareness rate of protective knowledge of the two groups of patients was evaluated.Results:The total awareness rate of the experimental group was 76.07%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group,which was 55.63%,and the difference was statistically significant at P<0.05.The transmission route,suspicious symptoms,medical institutions,preferential policies,whether it can be cured,and the full awareness rate of the experimental group were all higher than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant at P<0.05.Conclusion:Personalized education positively impacts the awareness rate of protective knowledge among inpatients newly treated for pulmonary tuberculosis.Therefore,when hospitals provide medical services for newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis patients,they should strengthen personalized education,improve patients'awareness of the disease and self-protection ability,and reduce the risk of infection.展开更多

How can we effectively guarantee the basic right to education for persons with disabilities? Will the revised Regulation on Education for Persons with Disabilities meet their needs? This article takes the Regulation on Education for Persons with Disabilities as the core and compares it with the related special educational laws of the United States, Britain and Japan. The following conclusions were drawn from this study: In terms of educational concept, the three countries follow the concept of inclusive education, and pursue equity and educational justice. They not only pay attention to inclusive education but also focus on improving the quality of education for students with disabilities. All three countries focus on accommodating children with special needs, but each implements its programs in a different way. These practices can be used as reference for the development of a special needs education law in China.展开更多

Purpose:The essay attempts to explore a possibility to conceive the idea of education for the whole person as a way of recovering the old spirit of liberal education or Bildung,yet in a new language.Design/Approach/Me...Purpose:The essay attempts to explore a possibility to conceive the idea of education for the whole person as a way of recovering the old spirit of liberal education or Bildung,yet in a new language.Design/Approach/Methods:The essay largely consists of two parts.The first part touches upon and diagnoses the current problems with educational culture in modern Korea where youths suffer their divided soul,by employing Rousseau’s notions of two different kinds of selflove,amour-de-soi and amour-propre.The second part addresses how the pursuit of the whole person as being wholehearted can be a healthy form of self-love mediated by love of the world or other persons.Findings:The idea of education for the whole person may turn out to be an unfeasible ideal,in the modern condition.Yet,being a whole person as wholehearted can be taken as a regulative ideal that guides our practice in teaching and learning,stimulating us to make an effort to be so despite our knowledge that it is out of reach.Originality/Value:The essay shows how the idea of education for the whole person can be newly interpreted in modern East Asian context,which can resonate with current problems with education culture in the West as well as around the globe for the age of measurement.展开更多
