The results showed that the body temperature,respiration and heart rate of Tibetan sheep at four seasons were 39. 18- 39. 60 ℃,27. 20- 49. 04 times / min,91. 87- 106. 25 times / min,respectively. The indexes of WBC,MCV,MCH and MCHC in autumn and winter were significantly higher than those in spring and summer( P < 0. 01),while the indexes of RBC,HCT and RDW-CV in spring and summer were significantly higher than those in autumn and winter( P < 0. 01). The PLT did not vary greatly in spring,summer or autumn,but were all extremely higher than that in winter( P< 0. 01). The HGB maintained stable in the four seasons. Establishing non-human primate models of human diseases is an efficient way to narrow the large gap between basic studies and translational medicine.Multifold advantages such as simplicity of breeding,low cost of feed...Establishing non-human primate models of human diseases is an efficient way to narrow the large gap between basic studies and translational medicine.Multifold advantages such as simplicity of breeding,low cost of feeding and facility of operating make the tree shrew an ideal non-human primate model proxy.Additional features like vulnerability to stress and spontaneous diabetic characteristics also indicate that the tree shrew could be a potential new animal model of human diseases.However,basal physiological indexes of tree shrew,especially those related to human disease,have not been systematically reported.Accordingly,we established important basal physiological indexes of domesticated tree shrews including several factors:(1)body weight,(2)core body temperature and rhythm,(3)diet metabolism,(4)locomotor rhythm,(5)electroencephalogram,(6)glycometabolism and(7)serum and urinary hormone level and urinary cortisol rhythm.We compared the physiological parameters of domesticated tree shrew with that of rats and macaques.Results showed that(a)the core body temperature of the tree shrew was 39.59±0.05°C,which was higher than that of rats and macaques;(b)Compared with wild tree shrews,with two activity peaks,domesticated tree shrews had only one activity peak from 17:30 to 19:30;(c)Compared with rats,tree shrews had poor carbohydrate metabolism ability;and(d)Urinary cortisol rhythm indicated there were two peaks at 8:00 and 17:00 in domesticated tree shrews,which matched activity peaks in wild tree shrews.These results provided basal physiological indexes for domesticated tree shrews and laid an important foundation for diabetes and stress-related disease models established on tree shrews.展开更多
The effects of 6-benzylaminopurine(6-BA) on several physiological indexes of Caryota mitis and C.obtusa seedlings treated at varied temperatures were conducted,the leaves of the two palm species were sprayed with 0,25...The effects of 6-benzylaminopurine(6-BA) on several physiological indexes of Caryota mitis and C.obtusa seedlings treated at varied temperatures were conducted,the leaves of the two palm species were sprayed with 0,25,50 and 100 mg · L^(-1)6-BA solutions,the activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD),and the contents of malondialdehyde(MDA),proline,soluble protein,chlorophyll and chlorophyll a/b were determined under 25℃,5℃ and 25℃ for 24 h,respectively.The dynamics of a series of important physiological components derived from the leaves were studied.It was indicated that all the above mentioned physiological indexes varied with different concentrations of 6-BA and temperature.The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation values for different concentrations of 6-BA at the recovery temperature 25℃ were 0.33,0.28,0.92 and 0.33,respectively for C.mitis,and 0.20,0.49,0.56 and 0.63,respectively for C.obtusa.It was concluded that leaves sprayed with different concentrations of 6-BA could affect the cold tolerance of palm seedlings.The optimal concentration of 6-BA was different for different palm species.展开更多

(IrlVHA-c), the transgenic tobacco seedlings harboring IrlVHA-c gene from Iris lactea (T0), the self-crossed progeny (T1), and the non-transgenic lines of tobacco seedlings were grown in Hoagland nutrient solutions supplemented with 0, 100, 200, 300, 400 mmol·L-1 NaHCO3 . The MDA content, CAT, POD and SOD activity, electrical conductivity, chlorophyll content, soluble sugar content, proline content and polyphenol oxidase activity of the seedlings were determined. The results showed that the transgenic lines of tobacco maintained a high activity up to 200 mmol·L-1 NaHCO3 , and activity was slightly lower at 300 mmol·L-1 NaHCO3 . When the concentration of NaHCO3 was as high as 400 mmol·L-1 the seedlings were badly hurt. In addition, the activity of T0 and T1 transgentic tobacoo was maintained more or less. While the non-transgenic lines of tobacco could maintain viably up to 100 mmol·L-1 NaHCO3 , and they could not survive at 400 mmol·L-1 NaHCO3 . The conclusion was drawn that the alkali resistance of the tobacoo transformed IrlVHA-c was noticeably improved.展开更多
[Objectives]This study was conducted to investigate the differences in the physiological responses of different grape cultivars to high temperature.[Methods]The 19 tested cultivars were selected from the grape germpla...[Objectives]This study was conducted to investigate the differences in the physiological responses of different grape cultivars to high temperature.[Methods]The 19 tested cultivars were selected from the grape germplasm resources pool of Turpan Research Institute of Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences.Twelve physiological indexes including gas exchange parameters,chlorophyll content,antioxidant enzyme activity and proline content were determined in grape leaves under field conditions during the middle period of local natural high temperature period(July,daily maximum air temperature>35℃).The heat tolerance of different cultivars was evaluated by fuzzy membership function analysis and optimum partitioning clustering of ordered samples.[Results](1)Under natural high temperature conditions in Turpan,the 19 tested grape cultivars responded differently to high temperature.‘Red Globe’,‘Fujiminori’,‘Beta’,‘Hetianhuang’had strong heat tolerance,while‘Thompson Seedless’,‘Hongqi Tezaomeigui’,‘Shuijing Wuhe’,‘Victoria’,‘Yatomi Rosa’and‘Crimson Seedless’had weak heat tolerance.(2)Among the 12 physiological indexes,malondialdehyde content and antioxidant enzyme activity were mostly different among various grape cultivars.The grape cultivars with strong heat tolerance,‘Red Globe’and‘Fujiminori’,had relatively lower malondialdehyde contents,while‘Beta’and‘Hetianhuang’had relatively higher malondialdehyde contents.But they had higher activity of antioxidant enzymes.(3)The results of fuzzy membership function analysis showed that the cumulative membership value(AR)of each physiological index was consistent with its apparent heat tolerance performance,suggesting that AR can be a potential index for the evaluation of heat tolerance of grape cultivars.Further cluster analysis classified the tested cultivars as strong,medium and weak.‘Red Globe’,‘Fujiminori’,‘Beta’and‘Hetianhuang’had strong heat tolerance.[Conclusions]This study provides a reference for grape cultivation under high temperature and stress and breeding of heat-tolerant varieties.展开更多

In order to explore the changes in the growth and protein contents of Spirulina and obtain a proper strain for the fixation of carbon dioxide(CO2 from flue gas,the strains isolated from the Spirulina farms and the str...In order to explore the changes in the growth and protein contents of Spirulina and obtain a proper strain for the fixation of carbon dioxide(CO2 from flue gas,the strains isolated from the Spirulina farms and the strain 208 were cultured under different aeration conditions including no CO2,10%CO2 and coal power plant flue gas supplements.The physiological indexes including filament length,biomass yield and chlorophyll a,soluble protein and phycocyanin contents were determined,respectively.When cultured without CO2 supplement,the strain 4-5 exhibited the highest biomass yield(1.880 g L^(−1)and a specific growth rate(0.367 d−1.However,the specific growth rate of all strains decreased significantly when they were cultured under 10%CO2 and unfiltered coal power plant flue gas supplements.Considerable differences were noted in the performance of the experimental microalgal strains under different contemporaneous conditions.The strain 7-8 achieved the highest biomass yield(1.603 g L^(−1)and relatively high phycocyanin content(7.1%)under 10%CO2 supplement.We noted that strain 4-5 had the highest specific growth rate(0.182 d−1 and biomass yield(0.43 g L^(−1)under coal power plant flue gas supplement.Strain 6-10 displayed the highest soluble protein content(66.02%),and strain 7-8 showed the highest phycocyanin content(9.28%)under coal power plant flue gas supplement.展开更多

Melatonin(MLT)is a hormonal substance found in many organisms and can improve plant stress resistance.In this study,the japonica rice variety Y32 and indica rice variety NJ6 were cultivated in hydroponics under differ...Melatonin(MLT)is a hormonal substance found in many organisms and can improve plant stress resistance.In this study,the japonica rice variety Y32 and indica rice variety NJ6 were cultivated in hydroponics under different concentrations of CdCl2 at the two-leaf stage.The growth,physiological and biochemical responses of the seedlings and the expression of cadmium(Cd)-related genes under exogenous melatonin(MLT)treatment were assessed.The results indicated that Cd stress destroyed the dynamic balance between reactive oxygen species(ROS)production and removal,resulting in ROS accumulation,membrane lipid peroxidation,and impaired growth and development.Following the application of exogenous MLT to rice seedlings,increases in plant biomass including both underground and above-ground areas were observed.MLT also scavenged the inhibition of superoxide dismutase(SOD)and peroxidase(POD)in a concentration dependent manner in response to Cd stress.Catalase(CAT)activity and malondialdehyde(MDA)expression also decreased following MLT treatment.Amongst the six Cd-related genes assessed,five genes were downregulated and one was up-regulated in response to MLT treatment.Taken together,these data demonstrate that MLT improves the resilience of rice seedlings at the biochemical,physiological,and molecular levels,and diminishes the damage caused by Cd stress.展开更多
Photosynthesis is related to dry matter accumulation in aboveground part of rice plant,which is the direct factor of production.This study carried out research on physiological indicators and the relationship between ...Photosynthesis is related to dry matter accumulation in aboveground part of rice plant,which is the direct factor of production.This study carried out research on physiological indicators and the relationship between photosynthesis and dry matter accumulation under different water management in paddy field.In general,the photosynthetic and physiological indicators showed the trend of increasing and then decreasing with the growth stage of rice.Experimental results showed that,chlorophyll content and leaf area index of rice leaves showed a quadratic curve positive correlation.Canopy light transmission reached the maximum at heading-flowering stage,and it had quadratic relationship with leaf area index,while it showed extremely positive correlation under rain-water storage irrigation mode.Photosynthetic rate(Pn)and transpiration rate(Tr)had quadratic curve positive correlation with chlorophyll content.The water condition under rain-water storage was favorable for dry matter accumulation in panicle.After multiple regression and main factor analysis,canopy light transmission,light transmission coefficient and Pn were main factors related to dry matter accumulation.The conclusions in this article were helpful for promoting rice yield in practice.展开更多

文摘Although white clover has been widely studied and applied,less is known about its physiological responses to chilling stress in northern China.The effects of acclimation time of chilling stress in the two white clover cultivars,Rivendel and Haifa,after exposure to 4℃for 0,4,8,12,24 and 48 h were investigated.Seven physiological indexes were measured in shoots of the two cultivars.It was found that Rivendel had a strong ability to maintain the stability of cells,cope with oxidative damage and accumulate osmotic adjustment substances compared with Haifa.In addition,a comprehensive evaluation on the chilling tolerance of the two cultivars based on subordinate function value analysis showed a stronger chilling tolerance of Rivendel than Haifa.

文摘In order to explore the changes in the growth and protein contents of Spirulina and obtain a proper strain for the fixation of carbon dioxide(CO2 from flue gas,the strains isolated from the Spirulina farms and the strain 208 were cultured under different aeration conditions including no CO2,10%CO2 and coal power plant flue gas supplements.The physiological indexes including filament length,biomass yield and chlorophyll a,soluble protein and phycocyanin contents were determined,respectively.When cultured without CO2 supplement,the strain 4-5 exhibited the highest biomass yield(1.880 g L^(−1)and a specific growth rate(0.367 d−1.However,the specific growth rate of all strains decreased significantly when they were cultured under 10%CO2 and unfiltered coal power plant flue gas supplements.Considerable differences were noted in the performance of the experimental microalgal strains under different contemporaneous conditions.The strain 7-8 achieved the highest biomass yield(1.603 g L^(−1)and relatively high phycocyanin content(7.1%)under 10%CO2 supplement.We noted that strain 4-5 had the highest specific growth rate(0.182 d−1 and biomass yield(0.43 g L^(−1)under coal power plant flue gas supplement.Strain 6-10 displayed the highest soluble protein content(66.02%),and strain 7-8 showed the highest phycocyanin content(9.28%)under coal power plant flue gas supplement.

文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to select spring radish varieties with better growth,higher yield and better nutrition.[Methods]A new spring radish combination(2019MUA×Lixiang)was obtained through traditional hybridization methods,and various characters of this line were compared with its parents and commercial spring radish.The radish varieties such as Lixiang radish,2019MUA×Lixiang,2019MUA,commercial variety Zhongluo No.1 and Huangzhou radish were respectively compared and studied in detail in terms of botanical characters,entire leaf bolting ratios,nutritional physiological indexes and so on.[Results]The new radish combination 2019MUA×Lixiang has better indexes,and is more suitable for spring planting.[Conclusions]The study provides a reference basis for the selection on radish planted in Spring.

文摘Melatonin(MLT)is a hormonal substance found in many organisms and can improve plant stress resistance.In this study,the japonica rice variety Y32 and indica rice variety NJ6 were cultivated in hydroponics under different concentrations of CdCl2 at the two-leaf stage.The growth,physiological and biochemical responses of the seedlings and the expression of cadmium(Cd)-related genes under exogenous melatonin(MLT)treatment were assessed.The results indicated that Cd stress destroyed the dynamic balance between reactive oxygen species(ROS)production and removal,resulting in ROS accumulation,membrane lipid peroxidation,and impaired growth and development.Following the application of exogenous MLT to rice seedlings,increases in plant biomass including both underground and above-ground areas were observed.MLT also scavenged the inhibition of superoxide dismutase(SOD)and peroxidase(POD)in a concentration dependent manner in response to Cd stress.Catalase(CAT)activity and malondialdehyde(MDA)expression also decreased following MLT treatment.Amongst the six Cd-related genes assessed,five genes were downregulated and one was up-regulated in response to MLT treatment.Taken together,these data demonstrate that MLT improves the resilience of rice seedlings at the biochemical,physiological,and molecular levels,and diminishes the damage caused by Cd stress.

文摘Photosynthesis is related to dry matter accumulation in aboveground part of rice plant,which is the direct factor of production.This study carried out research on physiological indicators and the relationship between photosynthesis and dry matter accumulation under different water management in paddy field.In general,the photosynthetic and physiological indicators showed the trend of increasing and then decreasing with the growth stage of rice.Experimental results showed that,chlorophyll content and leaf area index of rice leaves showed a quadratic curve positive correlation.Canopy light transmission reached the maximum at heading-flowering stage,and it had quadratic relationship with leaf area index,while it showed extremely positive correlation under rain-water storage irrigation mode.Photosynthetic rate(Pn)and transpiration rate(Tr)had quadratic curve positive correlation with chlorophyll content.The water condition under rain-water storage was favorable for dry matter accumulation in panicle.After multiple regression and main factor analysis,canopy light transmission,light transmission coefficient and Pn were main factors related to dry matter accumulation.The conclusions in this article were helpful for promoting rice yield in practice.
