The steady flow behavior in terminal bronchus of human lung for cylindrical channel of porous medium has been studied. The governing equations have been solved analytically and numerically for cylindrical channel. Finite difference method is incorporated to simulate the problem. The numerical results are compared with square duct channel for different parametric effect. It is observed that the flow rate is increased in cylindrical channel compared to square duct channel for the increasing value of pressure gradient, porosity and permeability. On the contrary, the flow rate is decreased in square duct channel compared to cylindrical channel for increasing value of viscosity. Flow rate in both channels is analyzed and compared for non-porous medium also. It is observed that flow rate is increased very high in cylindrical channel compared to square duct channel for both medium. 展开更多

A new type of x-ray lens composed of multi-square polycapillary slices(ASPXRL)used in focusing parallel x-ray beam was presented in this paper.Compared with conventional x-ray polycapillary lens,ASPXRL can provide smaller and brighter focus. The effects of the manufacturing imperfections on focusing quality of ASPXRL were evaluated with the values of transmission efficiency and discussed. It is suggested that ASPXRL has application prospects as a condenser lens for x-ray microscopy and flux collectors for x-ray analytical instruments. 展开更多

In this paper, an adaptive channel estimation for MIMO OFDM is proposed. A set of pilot tones first are placed in each OFDM block, then the channel frequency response of these pilot tones are adaptively estimated by reeursive least squares (RLS) directly in frequency domain not in time domain. Then after the estimation of the channel frequency response of pilot tones, to obtain the channel frequency response of data tones, a new interpolation method based on DFT different from traditional linear interpolation method according to adjacent pilot tones is proposed. Simulation results show good performance of the technique. 展开更多

In this paper, the effect of imperfect channel state information at the receiver, which is caused by noise and other interference, on the multi-access channel capacity is analysed through a statistical-mechanical approach. Replica analyses focus on analytically studying how the minimum mean square error (MMSE) channel estimation error appears in a multiuser channel capacity formula. And the relevant mathematical expressions are derived. At the same time, numerical simulation results are demonstrated to validate the Replica analyses. The simulation results show how the system parameters, such as channel estimation error, system load and signal-to-noise ratio, affect the channel capacity. 展开更多
