Study on Transient Flow Characteristics of Attitude Control Engine During Starting Process

Liquid bipropellant attitude control rocket engines are widely used in satellites,manned spaceships,deep space probes and other spacecraft.The performance of an attitude control engine is directly related to the lifetime,control precision and safety of a spacecraft.The study of flow characteristics of an engine transient process is important to improve its performance.In this paper,the transient flow test of a transparent test piece was carried out during the starting process of the attitude control engine.Then the transient process of the test piece was simulated and compared with the test results to verify the rationality of the simulation model.Transient flow simulation was carried out for the starting process of the real engine injector.The results show that the filling of the outer ring of the oxidant circuit is slower than that of the central collecting cavity,and the filling of the second layer of the outer ring is slower than that of the first layer.The filling process in the fuel path starts from the cooling hole near the inlet side and the fuel flows out in the circumferential direction.Installation direction has little influence on engine starting flow process in the ground state.The filling time of the engine in its vacuum state is longer than that in the ground state,the filling time of oxidizer is 31%longer than that in ground state,and the filling time of fuel is 57%longer than that in ground state. 展开更多

The Bypass Dual Throat Nozzle(BDTN)is a novel fluidic Thrust Vectoring(TV)nozzle,it switches to TV state by opening the valve in the bypass.To greatly manipulate the BDTN,the dynamic characteristics in the TV starting process should be analyzed.This paper conducts numerical simulations to grasp the variation processes of performances and the flow field evolution of BDTN and Dual Throat Nozzle(DTN).The dynamic responses of TV starting in typical DTN models are investigated at first.Then,the TV starting processes of BDTN in different Nozzle Pressure Ratio(NPR)conditions are simulated,and the valve opening durations(T)are also considered.Before the expected TV direction is achieved in the DTN,the jet is deflected to the opposite direction at the beginning of the dynamic process,which is called the reverse TV phenomenon.However,this phenomenon disappears in the BDTN.The larger injection width of DTN intensifies unsteady oscillations,and the reverse TV phenomenon is strengthened.In the BDTN,T determines the delay degree of performance variations compared to the static results,which is called hysteresis effect.At NPR=10,the hysteresis affects the final stable performance of BDTN.This study analyses the dynamic characteristics in DTN and BDTN,laying a foundation for further design of nozzles and control strategies. 展开更多

This paper deals with experimental study of flow field of starting process in two-dimensional, single-stage supersonic ejector on different air total pressure. Schlieren pictures of flow field were taken, static pressure distribu-tions on side wall were measured. The obtained results show that, on critical pressure, the starting main shock waves in ejector oscillated back and forth between the second throat and the middle section of the mixing chamber, it causes the pressure in the second half of the mixing chamber acutely fluctuated .When the working pressure of the active flow is higher than the critical starting pressure, ejector starts normally and the inner flow-field of the mixing chamber keeps stable and the shock waves in the second throat have a certain degree of oscillation . After ejector starts, the operating pressure of the active flow may be lower than the starting pressure . 展开更多

Given the existing integrated scheduling algorithms,all processes are ordered and scheduled overall,and these algorithms ignore the influence of the vertical and horizontal characteristics of the product process tree on the product scheduling effect.This paper presents an integrated scheduling algorithm for the same equipment process sequencing based on the Root-Subtree horizontal and vertical pre-scheduling to solve the above problem.Firstly,the tree decomposition method is used to extract the root node to split the process tree into several Root-Subtrees,and the Root-Subtree priority is set from large to small through the optimal completion time of vertical and horizontal pre-scheduling.All Root-Subtree processes on the same equipment are sorted into the stack according to the equipment process pre-start time,and the stack-top processes are combined with the schedulable process set to schedule and dispatch the stack.The start processing time of each process is determined according to the dynamic start processing time strategy of the equipment process,to complete the fusion operation of the Root-Subtree processes under the constraints of the vertical process tree and the horizontal equipment.Then,the root node is retrieved to form a substantial scheduling scheme,which realizes scheduling optimization by mining the vertical and horizontal characteristics of the process tree.Verification by examples shows that,compared with the traditional integrated scheduling algorithms that sort the scheduling processes as an overall,the integrated scheduling algorithmin this paper is better.The proposed algorithmenhances the process scheduling compactness,reduces the length of the idle time of the processing equipment,and optimizes the production scheduling target,which is of universal significance to solve the integrated scheduling problem. 展开更多

Synthesizing the mechanical models of the belt, the driver and the take-up device, the dynamics model was established on the longitudinal vibration of the overall belt conveyor system with finite elemental method, and S-function simulation block of asynchronous motor owing feedback function was built in Matlab/Simulink software, the simulation block indicates that motor rotation speed and its output moment vary with load and time, and the motor is a dynamic feedback system in working process. The state space block was adopted to express model of the belt. Thus it created simulation model of established dynamic model of overall belt conveyor system with Mat- lab/Simulink software, and simulates the course of starting by properly setting simulation parameters, and processes data for visualization. 展开更多

The starting characteristics of thermodynamic undersea vehicle systems are determined by the geometry, size and combustion area of solid propellants, which directly effect liquid propellant pipeline design. It is necessary to establish accurate burning models for solid propellants. Based on combustion models using powder rings and two different solid ignition grains, namely star-shaped ignition grains and stuffed ignition grains, a mathematic model of the ignition process of the propulsion system was built. With the help of Matlab, a series of calculations were made to determine the effects of different grains on ignition characteristics. The results show that stuffed ignition grain is best suited to be the ignition grain of a thermodynamic undersea vehicle system. 展开更多
