Material and Methods: This was a qualitative study carried out from November 1 to December 30, 2023 at the clinical and morphological anatomy laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine and Odontostomatology of Bamako. Included in this study were students who participated in practical and tutorial sessions. The variables studied during this study were: the previous performance of dissection on a cadaver by the students, the opinion of the students on dissection on a cadaver, the replacement of dissection on a cadaver by virtual dissection in the absence of a body, the level student satisfaction. Results: We surveyed 130 participants. The average age was 22 ± 0.2 years with extremes of 17 and 29 years. 95.3% of participants were students. According to 66.7% of participants, virtual dissection is a good palliative in the absence of a corpse. 95.3% of participants found using the virtual dissection table easy with an average of 7.88 ± 1.4. The overall assessment was well rated by 99.3% of participants. Conclusion: According to the results of this study, the virtual dissection table should be improved by integrating commented videos. The use of the DIVA 3D virtual dissection table during practical and tutorial sessions is well appreciated by the students. We believe that the teaching of anatomy using 3D digital technology should be included in the study programs of the Faculty of Medicine and Odontostomatology.展开更多

Objective:To systematically evaluate the impact of just-in-time teaching methods on nursing students’learning outcomes.Methods:Through the databases of CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,CBM,PubMed,Cochrane Library,Embase and Web of S...Objective:To systematically evaluate the impact of just-in-time teaching methods on nursing students’learning outcomes.Methods:Through the databases of CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,CBM,PubMed,Cochrane Library,Embase and Web of Science,the randomized controlled trials of just-in-time teaching in nursing field were collected from the establishment of the databases to the publication in November 2022.After literature screening,data extraction and quality evaluation,meta-analysis was performed using RevMan5.3 and Stata16.0 software.Results:Twenty articles were included,with a total of 1,865 nursing students.Meta-analysis results showed that compared with the traditional teaching method,the just-in-time teaching method had statistically significant differences in nursing students’theoretical examination scores(standardized mean difference(SMD)=1.26,95%confidence interval(CI):1.03 to 1.48,P<0.001),operational skills scores(SMD=1.56,95%CI:1.21 to 1.90,P<0.001),self-learning ability(SMD=0.76,95%CI:0.61 to 0.91,P<0.001)and just-in-time teaching method satisfaction(P<0.05).Conclusion:The just-in-time teaching method combines the advantages of traditional teaching and networked teaching,improves nursing students’theoretical performance,skill operation level and teaching satisfaction,and cultivates nursing students’self-learning ability.展开更多

Advantages and disadvantages of distance learning based on the network teaching platform were summarized in this paper. A one-year experiment study was carried out on our school fifth-grade students in independent reading using WeChat campus platform considering their current situation and existing problems of independent reading. The second aim of this study is to explore additional outcome variables that were examined in the previous studies. Five electronic databases were searched systematically. These databases were MEDLINE, CINAHL Plus, Scopus, Embase and PsycINFO. The PICO model was employed to identify the search terms, with a thesaurus being used to provide synonyms. Reference lists of relevant articles were examined and hand searches of journals were also undertaken. The quality of each study was assessed using the Simulation Research Rubric (SRR). A total of 11 studies were included. All studies explored the impact of simulation education on undergraduate pre-registration nursing. Six studies explored nursing students’ competence and performance and two papers examined their critical thinking. Problem solving, learning motivation, communication skills and knowledge acquisition were examined once. The majority of studies indicated that simulation training has a positive impact on pre-registration nursing students’ self-efficacy and other outcome variables. Furthermore, the study results indicate that simulation training is more dependable than traditional training, and students were extremely satisfied with the simulation training. However, most of the studies included in this review had several gaps, including study design, sample size and dissimilarities between the scales used. Further research with large samples, reliable and valid instruments, and outcomes measures (such as critical thinking and transferability of skills) is required to provide better insight into the effectiveness of simulation in undergraduate nursing education. .展开更多

Objective:This study aimed to determine the relationships between e-learning quality,student satisfaction,and learning outcomes and the mediating effect of student satisfaction.Methods:A cross-sectional quantitative c...Objective:This study aimed to determine the relationships between e-learning quality,student satisfaction,and learning outcomes and the mediating effect of student satisfaction.Methods:A cross-sectional quantitative correlational study using a predictive design and multivariate analysis method was employed in this study.A sample of 241 nursing students were recruited through an online survey based on a stratified random sampling technique.The variance-based Par tial Least Squares Structural Modeling analysis method was used to test the possible relationship and mediating effect among the variables.Results:The findings revealed statistical y significant relationships between e-learning quality,student satisfaction,and learning outcomes.A mediating effect of 37.2%is predicted for e-learning quality on learning outcomes through student satisfaction.Conclusions:This study emphasizes the learning needs of working nurses and the impact on their learning outcomes in e-learning nursing undergraduate programs.Advances in e-learning education have assisted nurses to be more self-sufficient in their pursuit of lifelong learning.展开更多
BACKGROUND The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)epidemic disrupted education systems by forcing systems to shift to emergency online leaning.Online learning satisfaction affects academic achievement.Many factors affe...BACKGROUND The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)epidemic disrupted education systems by forcing systems to shift to emergency online leaning.Online learning satisfaction affects academic achievement.Many factors affect online learning satisfaction.However there is little study focused on personal characteristics,mental status,and coping style when college students participated in emergency online courses.regression analyses were performed to identify factors that affected online learning satisfaction.RESULTS Descriptive findings indicated that 62.9%(994/1580)of students were satisfied with online learning.Factors that had significant positive effects on online learning satisfaction were online learning at scheduled times,strong exercise intensity,good health,regular schedule,focusing on the epidemic less than one hour a day,and maintaining emotional stability.Positive coping styles were protective factors of online learning satisfaction.Risk factors for poor satisfaction were depression,neurasthenia,and negative coping style.CONCLUSION College students with different personal characteristics,mental status,and coping style exhibited different degrees of online learning satisfaction.Our findings provide reference for educators,psychologists,and school adminis-trators to conduct health education intervention of college students during emergency online learning.展开更多
Objective:As part of an investigation and analysis of the study weariness of nursing vocational college students,the authors attempted to reform the teaching mode of a Nursing Basic Technology course to solve the prob...Objective:As part of an investigation and analysis of the study weariness of nursing vocational college students,the authors attempted to reform the teaching mode of a Nursing Basic Technology course to solve the problem of study weariness in vocational college students.Methods:The authors designed student questionnaires to investigate study weariness in 128 nursing vocational college students.Results:Of the 128 students,58 were tired of study,accounting for 45.3%;40 students often had weariness,accounting for 31.3%;and 71 students had moderate or severe weariness,accounting for 55.5%.Seventy-five students played on their mobile phone when they were tired of studying.Conclusions:The study weariness of vocational college students is a common phenomenon that has been developing rapidly.There are many factors that cause study weariness of professional college students.The students believe that the traditional teaching method is the main reason for study weariness.Reform of the teaching mode in a Nursing Basic Technology course effectively solved the learning problems of vocational college students.Teaching experiments for reform may have marked effects,and they are worthy of promoting.展开更多

Students’ learning performance may be affected by sleep. The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between quality of sleep and learning satisfaction on nursing college students. Design and Participants: A cross-sectional with correlation study design was employed. 200 students were recruited from the nursing college. Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and Learning Satisfaction Scale were used for data collection. SPSS for window 17.0 was used for data analysis. Results: Findings showed: 1) 53% of participants rated their sleep quality as poor;2) the global learning satisfaction of participants varied between highly satisfaction and satisfaction;3) the global learning satisfaction was significantly negative related to “subjective sleep quality”, “use the sleep pill”, and “daytime dysfunction” (p < 0.05), finally, students who were interested in nursing can be explained 10.2% of the total amount of variances in learning satisfaction. Conclusions: The findings can provide information regarding nursing students’ sleep status and learning satisfaction to school teacher. The information would be helpful as evidences when laying out nursing curriculum to strengthen students’ sleep hygiene and learning of affective domain in the future.展开更多
Objective:Skill competence is essential for nursing students and experiential teaching method has become increasingly popular in China’s nursing education.To systematically evaluate the effects of experiential teachi...Objective:Skill competence is essential for nursing students and experiential teaching method has become increasingly popular in China’s nursing education.To systematically evaluate the effects of experiential teaching method on the development of nursing students’skill competence,and to provide evidence for nursing education.Methods:The China National Knowledge Infrastructure,VIP,Wanfang Data,PubMed,and Web of Science databases were searched from their inception until November 28,2019.We screened the studies according to inclusion and exclusion criteria,extracted the data,and assessed the quality.Then,a meta-analysis was conducted.Results:Totally 15 studies were included,and 1,633 nursing students were analyzed by Review Manager5.3 and Stata15.1 software.The results show that the experiential teaching method can significantly improve nursing students’nursing skills such as training(SMD=1.05,95%CI:0.95–1.16,P=0.000),learning interest(ES=0.93,95%CI:0.79–1.06),ability to analyze and solve problems(ES=0.75,95%CI:0.55–0.94),ability to judge and innovative thinking(ES=1.01,95%CI:0.77–1.25),abilities of understanding and perception(ES=0.59,95%CI:0.34–0.83),and teaching satisfaction(ES=1.26,95%CI:1.13–1.4).Conclusions:The results suggest that the experiential teaching method is more effective for the nursing students’skill competence than traditional teaching in China.However,due to the heterogeneity and bias risk,a large sample and high-quality studies are needed in future to confirm its effectiveness.展开更多

文摘Teaching legal English for law students in China is difficult.For one thing,many Chinese law students have trouble moreor less in learning English,because the English language is not their mother tongue.For another,legal English differs a great dealfrom everyday English in many respects,including terminology,phrasing,linguistic structure,and linguistic conventions,whichmakes legal English teaching for law students in China by far harder.To solve difficulties undermining teaching legal English forlaw students in China,the author of this paper holds that in his or her actual legal English teaching,the teacher should boost lawstudents basic English teaching,expose them to cases study of specialized legal English terminology and linguistic structures andconventions.

The Chinese students tends to ignore the American culture when they are learning the language of English. This paper puts forward the view that teaching American culture plays a significant role in helping the Chinese students learn English and the English teachers have the responsibility to teach American culture to Chinese students.

文摘Objective:This study aimed to determine the relationships between e-learning quality,student satisfaction,and learning outcomes and the mediating effect of student satisfaction.Methods:A cross-sectional quantitative correlational study using a predictive design and multivariate analysis method was employed in this study.A sample of 241 nursing students were recruited through an online survey based on a stratified random sampling technique.The variance-based Par tial Least Squares Structural Modeling analysis method was used to test the possible relationship and mediating effect among the variables.Results:The findings revealed statistical y significant relationships between e-learning quality,student satisfaction,and learning outcomes.A mediating effect of 37.2%is predicted for e-learning quality on learning outcomes through student satisfaction.Conclusions:This study emphasizes the learning needs of working nurses and the impact on their learning outcomes in e-learning nursing undergraduate programs.Advances in e-learning education have assisted nurses to be more self-sufficient in their pursuit of lifelong learning.

文摘BACKGROUND The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)epidemic disrupted education systems by forcing systems to shift to emergency online leaning.Online learning satisfaction affects academic achievement.Many factors affect online learning satisfaction.However there is little study focused on personal characteristics,mental status,and coping style when college students participated in emergency online courses.regression analyses were performed to identify factors that affected online learning satisfaction.RESULTS Descriptive findings indicated that 62.9%(994/1580)of students were satisfied with online learning.Factors that had significant positive effects on online learning satisfaction were online learning at scheduled times,strong exercise intensity,good health,regular schedule,focusing on the epidemic less than one hour a day,and maintaining emotional stability.Positive coping styles were protective factors of online learning satisfaction.Risk factors for poor satisfaction were depression,neurasthenia,and negative coping style.CONCLUSION College students with different personal characteristics,mental status,and coping style exhibited different degrees of online learning satisfaction.Our findings provide reference for educators,psychologists,and school adminis-trators to conduct health education intervention of college students during emergency online learning.

文摘Objective:As part of an investigation and analysis of the study weariness of nursing vocational college students,the authors attempted to reform the teaching mode of a Nursing Basic Technology course to solve the problem of study weariness in vocational college students.Methods:The authors designed student questionnaires to investigate study weariness in 128 nursing vocational college students.Results:Of the 128 students,58 were tired of study,accounting for 45.3%;40 students often had weariness,accounting for 31.3%;and 71 students had moderate or severe weariness,accounting for 55.5%.Seventy-five students played on their mobile phone when they were tired of studying.Conclusions:The study weariness of vocational college students is a common phenomenon that has been developing rapidly.There are many factors that cause study weariness of professional college students.The students believe that the traditional teaching method is the main reason for study weariness.Reform of the teaching mode in a Nursing Basic Technology course effectively solved the learning problems of vocational college students.Teaching experiments for reform may have marked effects,and they are worthy of promoting.
文摘Background and Aim: Quality of sleep is essential element for learning and memory. Students’ learning performance may be affected by sleep. The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between quality of sleep and learning satisfaction on nursing college students. Design and Participants: A cross-sectional with correlation study design was employed. 200 students were recruited from the nursing college. Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and Learning Satisfaction Scale were used for data collection. SPSS for window 17.0 was used for data analysis. Results: Findings showed: 1) 53% of participants rated their sleep quality as poor;2) the global learning satisfaction of participants varied between highly satisfaction and satisfaction;3) the global learning satisfaction was significantly negative related to “subjective sleep quality”, “use the sleep pill”, and “daytime dysfunction” (p < 0.05), finally, students who were interested in nursing can be explained 10.2% of the total amount of variances in learning satisfaction. Conclusions: The findings can provide information regarding nursing students’ sleep status and learning satisfaction to school teacher. The information would be helpful as evidences when laying out nursing curriculum to strengthen students’ sleep hygiene and learning of affective domain in the future.
文摘Objective:Skill competence is essential for nursing students and experiential teaching method has become increasingly popular in China’s nursing education.To systematically evaluate the effects of experiential teaching method on the development of nursing students’skill competence,and to provide evidence for nursing education.Methods:The China National Knowledge Infrastructure,VIP,Wanfang Data,PubMed,and Web of Science databases were searched from their inception until November 28,2019.We screened the studies according to inclusion and exclusion criteria,extracted the data,and assessed the quality.Then,a meta-analysis was conducted.Results:Totally 15 studies were included,and 1,633 nursing students were analyzed by Review Manager5.3 and Stata15.1 software.The results show that the experiential teaching method can significantly improve nursing students’nursing skills such as training(SMD=1.05,95%CI:0.95–1.16,P=0.000),learning interest(ES=0.93,95%CI:0.79–1.06),ability to analyze and solve problems(ES=0.75,95%CI:0.55–0.94),ability to judge and innovative thinking(ES=1.01,95%CI:0.77–1.25),abilities of understanding and perception(ES=0.59,95%CI:0.34–0.83),and teaching satisfaction(ES=1.26,95%CI:1.13–1.4).Conclusions:The results suggest that the experiential teaching method is more effective for the nursing students’skill competence than traditional teaching in China.However,due to the heterogeneity and bias risk,a large sample and high-quality studies are needed in future to confirm its effectiveness.
文摘English,the widest used language in the world,has been required to learn in almost every school and university in China.Some students cannot do well in English study,because they lack of interest in English.As an English teacher,it is urgent to improve teaching method to arouse students' interest.This thesis stated the reason why students don't have interest in English study,the relationship between knowledge learning and interest,and also the improvement of teaching method.
