Determination of Electron Swarm Parameters in Pure CHF_3 and CF_4 by a Time-Resolved Method 被引量:5

The density-normalized effective ionization coefficient (α - η)/N (α and η are the ionization and attachment coefficients respectively), the electron drift velocity Ve and density- normalized longitudinal diffusion coefficient NDL in trifluoromethane (CHF3) and carbon tetraflu- oride (CF4) were measured using a pulsed Townsend technique over a wide E/N range. From the plots of (α- η)/N, we have derived the limiting field strength, (E/N)nm, which is valid for the analysis of insulation characteristics and applications to power equipment. Comparisons of the electron swarms parameters between CHF3 and CFa have been performed, and the global warming potential (GWP) is also taken into account. 展开更多

In c-C4F8 and c-C4F8/CO2 mixtures, the swarm parameters including ionization coefficient, attachment coefficient and effective ionization coefficient were obtained at the ratio of the electric field strength to the gas density between 150-550 Td by the steady-state Townsend (SST) method. Static breakdown voltages at each ratio were also measured at the SST condition. The limiting field strengths were obtained by two methods: computing the density-normalized effective ionization coefficient as a function of the overall density-reduced electric field strength; and measuring static breakdown voltages as a function of the product of gas density and electrode separation. Good agreement was obtained by these two methods, which ensures the correctness of the former method. The limiting field strengths of c-C4F8 and c-C4F8/CO2 mixtures were compared with those of pure SF6, 8F6/602 mixtures and pure c-C4F8. It is found that buffer gas CO2 does not reduce the limiting field strengths of c-C4F8 greatly, the limiting field strengths of c-C4F8/CO2 mixtures are higher than those of SF6/CO2 mixtures or even pure SF6, and so c-C4F8/CO2 mixtures are suggested to be possible substitutes for SF6. 展开更多

Panicle swarm optimization (PSO) is an optimization algorithm based on the swarm intelligent principle. In this paper the modified PSO is applied to a kernel principal component analysis ( KPCA ) for an optimal kernel function parameter. We first comprehensively considered within-class scatter and between-class scatter of the sample features. Then, the fitness function of an optimized kernel function parameter is constructed, and the particle swarm optimization algorithm with adaptive acceleration (CPSO) is applied to optimizing it. It is used for gearbox condi- tion recognition, and the result is compared with the recognized results based on principal component analysis (PCA). The results show that KPCA optimized by CPSO can effectively recognize fault conditions of the gearbox by reducing bind set-up of the kernel function parameter, and its results of fault recognition outperform those of PCA. We draw the conclusion that KPCA based on CPSO has an advantage in nonlinear feature extraction of mechanical failure, and is helpful for fault condition recognition of complicated machines. 展开更多

We calculated the uniform dielectric breakdown field strength of residual 30% CF3I/CO2 gas mixtures during the arc extinction process over the temperature range 300-3500 K at 0.1 MPa. The limiting reduced field strengths are decided by a balance of electron generation and loss based on chemical reactions estimated by the electron energy distribution function (EEDF), which employs the Boltzmann equation method with two-term expanding approximation in the steady-state Townsend (SST) condition. During the insulation recovery phase, the hot CF3I/CO2 gas mixtures have maximum dielectric strength at a temperature of about 1500 K. At room temperature 300 K, the electric strength after arc extinction (90.3 Td, 1 Td=10-21 V.m2) is only 38% of the original value before arc (234.9 Td). The adverse insulation recovery ability of CF3I/CO2 gas mixtures in arc extinction hinders its application in electric circuit breakers and other switchgears as an arc quenching and insulating medium. 展开更多

The swarm parametes for c-C4F8/CF4 mixtures, including the density-normalized effective ion- ization coefficient, drift velocity and mean energy were calculated using Monte-Carlo method with the null collision technique. The overall density-reduced electric field strength could be varied between 150 and 500 Td, while the c-C4F8 content in gas mixtures is varied in the range of 0-100%. The value of the density-normalized effective ionization coefficient shows a strong dependence on the c-C4F8 content, becoming more electronegative as the content of c-C4F8 is increased. The drift velocity of c-C4F8/CF4 mixtures is more affected by CF4. The calculated limiting field strength for c-C4F8/CF4 mixtures is higher than that of SF6/CF4. 展开更多

Artificial bee colony(ABC) algorithm is motivated by the intelligent behavior of honey bees when seeking a high quality food source. It has a relatively simple structure but good global optimization ability. In order to balance its global search and local search abilities further, some improvements for the standard ABC algorithm are made in this study. Firstly, the local search mechanism of cuckoo search optimization(CS) is introduced into the onlooker bee phase to enhance its dedicated search; secondly, the scout bee phase is also modified by the chaotic search mechanism. The improved ABC algorithm is used to identify the parameters of chaotic systems, the identified results from the present algorithm are compared with those from other algorithms. Numerical simulations, including Lorenz system and a hyper chaotic system, illustrate the present algorithm is a powerful tool for parameter estimation with high accuracy and low deviations. It is not sensitive to artificial measurement noise even using limited input data. 展开更多
