Information technologies(ITs)have been playing an important role in improving our society,and the fast evolution of ITs creates a competitive environment not only for companies but also for regions.Hence,recognizing t...Information technologies(ITs)have been playing an important role in improving our society,and the fast evolution of ITs creates a competitive environment not only for companies but also for regions.Hence,recognizing the future trend of technologies can be effective in decision-making with regard to technology selection and investment.Blockchain technology with its vast and impressive applications has received considerable attention from researchers,investors,and public agencies.The purpose of this research is to investigate blockchain technology to explore its trends according to their classification by use of the World Intellectual Property Organization(WIPO)database.Furthermore,we particularly evaluate the registered patents in the world's most well-known patent databases such as the USA patent database.We drew the current technology trends in blockchain patents by applying the text mining and clustering approach.The results represent that the registered patents in the USA patent database have been achieved in the growth phase.That means,attention to the blockchain is rising nowadays and most patents focused the cryptocurrencies and their applications in finance.However,blockchain technology is in the emergence phase and is evolving by researchers and inventors.展开更多
The authors use numerical model integral products in a third level forecast of synthetically multi-level analog forecast technology.This is one of the strongest points of this study,which also includes the re-ducing m...The authors use numerical model integral products in a third level forecast of synthetically multi-level analog forecast technology.This is one of the strongest points of this study,which also includes the re-ducing mean vacant-forecast rate method,which pos-sesses many advantages with regard to filtering the analog term.Moreover,the similitude degree between samples is assessed using a combination of meteorological elements,which works better than that described using a single element in earlier analog forecast studies.Based on these techniques,the authors apply the model output,air sounding,surface observation and weather map data from 1990 to 2002 to perform an analog experiment of the quasi-stationary front rainstorm.The most important re-sults are as follows:(1) The forecast successful index is 0.36,and was improved after the forecast model was re-vised.(2) The forecast precise rate (0.59) and the lost-forecast rate (0.33) are also better than those of other methods.(3) Based on the model output data,the syn-thetically multilevel analog forecast technology can pro-duce more accurate forecasts of a quasi-stationary front rainstorm.(4) Optimal analog elements reveal that trig-gering mechanisms are located in the lower troposphere while upper level systems are more important in main-taining the phase of the rainstorm.These variables should be first taken into account in operational forecasts of the quasi-stationary front rainstorm.(5) In addition,experi-ments reveal that the position of the key zone is mainly decided by the position of the system causing the heavy rainfall.展开更多
The performance and reliability of structural components are greatly influenced by the presence of any abnormality in them.To this purpose,structural health monitoring(SHM)is recognized as a necessary tool to ensure t...The performance and reliability of structural components are greatly influenced by the presence of any abnormality in them.To this purpose,structural health monitoring(SHM)is recognized as a necessary tool to ensure the safety precautions and efficiency of both mechanical and civil infrastructures.Till now,most of the previous work has emphasized the functioning of several SHM techniques and systematic changes in SHM execution.However,there exist insufficient data in the literature regarding the patent-based technological developments in the SHM research domain which might be a useful source of detailed information for worldwide research institutes.To address this research gap,a method based on the Co-Operative Patent Classification(CPC)codes is proposed in the current study.The proposed method includes the patent analysis of SHM in terms of its global publication trend and technology-based applications.This analysis is performed using patent database search tools,namely,IncoPat and Espacenet.The period ranging from 2005 to 2019 is selected to retrieve the required patent documents.A new approach termed as Patents’value is utilized to investigate the technological impact of a patent in the form of forward citations,technical stability,and scope of protection.The identification of emerging SHM techniques and forecasting of vacant technology is also part of current research work.The research results have revealed the increasing trend in the number of published patents each year related to various SHM technologies.In this regard,China,the United States,and South Korea are notified as to the major depositor countries,respectively.Hence,mapping of patent data in this research is an effort to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method to demonstrate the development trends and dynamic inventions over the time in SHM research domain to achieve the optimal damage inspections of various mechanical components.展开更多
