In the process of dense vehicles traveling fast,there will be mutual occlusion between vehicles,which will lead to the problem of deterioration of the tracking effect of different vehicles,so this paper proposes a res...In the process of dense vehicles traveling fast,there will be mutual occlusion between vehicles,which will lead to the problem of deterioration of the tracking effect of different vehicles,so this paper proposes a research method of virtual simulation video vehicle target tracking based on you only look once(YOLO)v5s and deep simple online and realtime tracking(DeepSort).Given that the DeepSort algorithm is currently the most effective tracking method,this paper merges the YOLOv5 algorithm with the DeepSort algorithm.Then it adds the efficient channel attention networks(ECA-Net)focusing mechanism at the back for the cross-stage partial bottleneck with 3 convolutions(C3)modules about the YOLOv5 backbone network and before the up-sampling of the Neck feature pyramid.The YOLOv5 algorithm adopts expected intersection over union(EIOU)instead of complete intersection over union(CIOU)as the loss function of the target frame regression.The improved YOLOv5 algorithm is named YOLOv5-Block.The experimental results show that in the special vehicle target detection(TD)and tracking in the virtual simulation environment,The YOLOv5-Block algorithm has an average accuracy(AP)of 99.5%,which significantly improves the target recognition correctness for typical occlusion cases,and is 1.48 times better than the baseline algorithm.After the virtual simulation video sequence test,multiple objects tracking accuracy(MOTA)and various objects tracking precision(MOTP)improved by 10.7 and 1.75 percentage points,respectively,and the number of vehicle target identity document(ID)switches decreased.Compared with recent mainstream vehicle detection and tracking models,the YOLOv5-Block+Deepsort algorithm can accurately and continuously complete the detection and tracking tasks of special vehicle targets in different scenes.展开更多

Background:With the continuous development of information technology,most universities use mobile teaching platforms for classroom teaching.With the help of the national virtual simulation experimental teaching projec...Background:With the continuous development of information technology,most universities use mobile teaching platforms for classroom teaching.With the help of the national virtual simulation experimental teaching project sharing platform,students can enhance self-directed learning through the virtual simulation operations of the project.Purpose:To explore the application of virtual simulation experiment in teaching the fundamentals of nursing practice based on the Platform of the National Virtual Simulation Experiment Teaching Project during the COVID-19 pandemic analyze the impact of this teaching method on the autonomous learning ability of undergraduate nursing students.Methods:Convenience sampling was used to select 121 nursing undergraduates from Y University’s School of Nursing;the online teaching of fundamentals of nursing practice was conducted to the students.After taking the course,questionnaires were distributed to the undergraduate nursing students to collect their perceptions regarding the use of the virtual simulation experiment platform and autonomous learning competencies.Results:Most students expressed their preference for the virtual simulation teaching platform,and their satisfaction with the project evaluation was high 83.05%.They hoped to promote the application in future experimental teaching.Undergraduate nursing students believed that the virtual simulation teaching platform was conducive to cultivating clinical thinking ability,could stimulate learning interest,enhanced autonomous learning competencies.Conclusion:During the pandemic,the virtual simulation teaching platform for a lecture on in nursing education has achieved good results in both the aspects of teaching and student learning.Teachers efficiently used their training time and reduced their teaching burden.Moreover,the laboratory cost was also reduced.For undergraduate nursing students,the system was conducive to cultivating clinical thinking ability,stimulating their interest in learning,enhancing their learning and comprehension abilities and learning initiative.展开更多

Objective:To explore the application effect of virtual simulation teaching platform in the practical teaching of medical imaging.Methods:A total of 97 students majoring in medical imaging technology of class 2022 were...Objective:To explore the application effect of virtual simulation teaching platform in the practical teaching of medical imaging.Methods:A total of 97 students majoring in medical imaging technology of class 2022 were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number method:control group(n=48)and observation group(n=49).The observation group was under the practical teaching mode based on the virtual simulation teaching platform,while the control group was under the traditional multimedia teaching mode.Questionnaire survey and teaching assessment were carried out after the teaching period,and the application effects of the two teaching modes were compared.Results:The reading and theoretical scores of the students in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the students in the control group(P<0.01);there were statistically significant differences in the results of the questionnaire survey(improved learning interest,improved language expression,improved ability to comprehensively analyze problems,and improved teamwork awareness)between the two groups of students(P<0.05);the students in the observation group were markedly more satisfied with the teaching content,teaching methods,and teaching quality than the students in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The medical imaging practical teaching mode based on virtual simulation platform not only helps improve students’theoretical understanding and practical ability in medical imaging technology,but also improves students’learning interest,language expression ability,ability to comprehensively analyze problems,communication skills,teamwork awareness,and satisfaction with the teaching content,teaching methods,and teaching quality.Therefore,it has wide application value in medical specialty education.展开更多

The scope of the model test and the virtual simulation covers various installation stages including a series of positioning trials, positioning keeping and temporary mooring to the pre-installed SYMS mooring tower, pendulum mating, and yoke ballasting to storm-safe. The model test is to accurately verify bollard pull capacity to keep the FPSO in position and assess motion responses and mooring loads for the FPSO and installation vessels during various installation stages. The virtual simulation is to provide a virtual-reality environment, thus realistically replicating the hookup operation at the Simulation Test Center (STC) facility and identifying any deficiencies in key installation personnel, execution plan, or operation procedures. The methodologies of the model test and the virtual simulation addressed here can be easily extended to the deepwater applications such as positioning and installation operations of various floating systems.展开更多

Background Machine learning-based beer bottle-defect detection is a complex technology that runs automatically;however,it consumes considerable memory,is expensive,and poses a certain danger when training novice opera...Background Machine learning-based beer bottle-defect detection is a complex technology that runs automatically;however,it consumes considerable memory,is expensive,and poses a certain danger when training novice operators.Moreover,some topics are difficult to learn from experimental lectures,such as digital image processing and computer vision.However,virtual simulation experiments have been widely used to good effect within education.A virtual simulation of the design and manufacture of a beer bottle-defect detection system will not only help the students to increase their image-processing knowledge,but also improve their ability to solve complex engineering problems and design complex systems.Methods The hardware models for the experiment(camera,light source,conveyor belt,power supply,manipulator,and computer)were built using the 3DS MAX modeling and animation software.The Unreal Engine 4(UE4)game engine was utilized to build a virtual design room,design the interactive operations,and simulate the system operation.Results The results showed that the virtual-simulation system received much better experimental feedback,which facilitated the design and manufacture of a beer bottle-defect detection system.The specialized functions of the functional modules in the detection system,including a basic experimental operation menu,power switch,image shooting,image processing,and manipulator grasping,allowed students(or virtual designers)to easily build a detection system by retrieving basic models from the model library,and creating the beer-bottle transportation,image shooting,image processing,defect detection,and defective-product removal.The virtual simulation experiment was completed with image processing as the main body.Conclusions By mainly focusing on bottle mouth defect detection,the detection system dedicates more attention to the user and the task.With more detailed tasks available,the virtual system will eventually yield much better results as a training tool for image processing education.In addition,a novel visual perception-thinking pedagogical framework enables better comprehension than the traditional lecture-tutorial style.展开更多

The thermal insulation of a bedding system is one of the most critical factors affecting sleeping thermal comfort.This study reported a mathematical model to evaluate both local and total thermal insulations of a bedd...The thermal insulation of a bedding system is one of the most critical factors affecting sleeping thermal comfort.This study reported a mathematical model to evaluate both local and total thermal insulations of a bedding system.To determine the geometric parameters in the model,the geometric model of the bedding system was developed using a 3D virtual simulation program.Its reliability was validated by comparing it with the 3D scanning model.The predicted local and total thermal insulations of bedding systems were compared with those measured by the thermal manikin obtained in a previous study.The bedding systems included six down quilts with different filling weights and involved three body postures.The results showed that the predicted thermal insulation values agreed well with the experimental values.The predicted local and total thermal insulations were with acceptable accuracy,whose errors were within 20%and 10%,respectively.Finally,the research discussed the effects of two main parameters(i.e.,the proportions and partial thermal resistances of heat transfer parts)on bedding thermal insulations and provided practical suggestions for regulating bedding thermal insulation.This study has important implications for evaluating the thermal comfort of the bedding system and contributes to improving the sleeping environment.展开更多

With the development of virtual simulation technology, virtual simulation-based training is widely used in the training of the helicopter crew especially for the dangerous and costly missions mentioned above. A complete training effectiveness evaluation method is proposed to evaluate the trainees' training effect based on virtual simulation in this paper. A key to this method is regarding the complicated process as a discrete event-activity flow system and establishing the evaluation indicator system. Then expert group and Analytical Network Process(ANP) are applied to determine the weight of indicators. When the training data are processed, there is a novel attempt to apply Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation(FCE) model to calculate the two categories of indicators. Eventually, an experiment and the analysis were carried out to validate the evaluation method.展开更多

文摘The Veterinary Microbiology course is centered around the diagnosis and testing of pathogenic microorganisms,with the core value of“moral education and character development.”It reconstructs multidimensional teaching resources by integrating disciplinary achievements with clinical cases and implements a hybrid teaching approach combining virtual simulation and problem-based learning(PBL)through the“three stages+four models+three reflections”framework.Dual-qualification teachers employ various teaching methods,create a“six-in-one”model for ideological and political education,and conduct formative assessments based on the principles of diversified objectives and process emphasis.The hybrid teaching reform addresses issues such as fragmented knowledge,insufficient class hours,weak animal disease diagnostic abilities among students,limited application and expansion of knowledge points,and students’lack of proactive critical thinking skills.The application of hybrid teaching has shown significant advantages and effectiveness,providing a reference for teaching reform in similar microbiology courses.

文摘Virtual simulation experiment,as a new way to promote the digital transformation of education,has a broad development prospect and application value.The civil engineering experimental volume and space are huge,it has a long construction period,is highly dangerous,and is difficult to experiment with.In order to solve the contradiction between the traditional theory teaching of civil engineering and the engineering training of students,the construction of virtual simulation experimental teaching courses with a high degree of realism,intuition,and accuracy can be used as a useful supplement and innovation of experimental and practical teaching.This paper takes the virtual simulation experimental teaching course of urban overpasses as an example,introduces the necessity and practicability of the course construction,and describes the experimental principle structure of the course,the simulation scene design,the experimental teaching process,the experimental method,etc.The course has achieved good application results,and it has been recognized as the first-class virtual simulation teaching course of the Chongqing Municipal Government,which provides certain references to the construction of the same type of courses in the civil engineering profession.

文摘Objective:To explore the application effect of virtual simulation teaching platform in the practical teaching of medical imaging.Methods:A total of 97 students majoring in medical imaging technology of class 2022 were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number method:control group(n=48)and observation group(n=49).The observation group was under the practical teaching mode based on the virtual simulation teaching platform,while the control group was under the traditional multimedia teaching mode.Questionnaire survey and teaching assessment were carried out after the teaching period,and the application effects of the two teaching modes were compared.Results:The reading and theoretical scores of the students in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the students in the control group(P<0.01);there were statistically significant differences in the results of the questionnaire survey(improved learning interest,improved language expression,improved ability to comprehensively analyze problems,and improved teamwork awareness)between the two groups of students(P<0.05);the students in the observation group were markedly more satisfied with the teaching content,teaching methods,and teaching quality than the students in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The medical imaging practical teaching mode based on virtual simulation platform not only helps improve students’theoretical understanding and practical ability in medical imaging technology,but also improves students’learning interest,language expression ability,ability to comprehensively analyze problems,communication skills,teamwork awareness,and satisfaction with the teaching content,teaching methods,and teaching quality.Therefore,it has wide application value in medical specialty education.

文摘This paper describes the model test and the virtual simulation respectively for the VLCC class FPSO hookup, as well as addresses their different applications to the mating operation between the FPSO and the soft yoke mooring system (SYMS) in extremely shallow water. The scope of the model test and the virtual simulation covers various installation stages including a series of positioning trials, positioning keeping and temporary mooring to the pre-installed SYMS mooring tower, pendulum mating, and yoke ballasting to storm-safe. The model test is to accurately verify bollard pull capacity to keep the FPSO in position and assess motion responses and mooring loads for the FPSO and installation vessels during various installation stages. The virtual simulation is to provide a virtual-reality environment, thus realistically replicating the hookup operation at the Simulation Test Center (STC) facility and identifying any deficiencies in key installation personnel, execution plan, or operation procedures. The methodologies of the model test and the virtual simulation addressed here can be easily extended to the deepwater applications such as positioning and installation operations of various floating systems.

文摘Background Machine learning-based beer bottle-defect detection is a complex technology that runs automatically;however,it consumes considerable memory,is expensive,and poses a certain danger when training novice operators.Moreover,some topics are difficult to learn from experimental lectures,such as digital image processing and computer vision.However,virtual simulation experiments have been widely used to good effect within education.A virtual simulation of the design and manufacture of a beer bottle-defect detection system will not only help the students to increase their image-processing knowledge,but also improve their ability to solve complex engineering problems and design complex systems.Methods The hardware models for the experiment(camera,light source,conveyor belt,power supply,manipulator,and computer)were built using the 3DS MAX modeling and animation software.The Unreal Engine 4(UE4)game engine was utilized to build a virtual design room,design the interactive operations,and simulate the system operation.Results The results showed that the virtual-simulation system received much better experimental feedback,which facilitated the design and manufacture of a beer bottle-defect detection system.The specialized functions of the functional modules in the detection system,including a basic experimental operation menu,power switch,image shooting,image processing,and manipulator grasping,allowed students(or virtual designers)to easily build a detection system by retrieving basic models from the model library,and creating the beer-bottle transportation,image shooting,image processing,defect detection,and defective-product removal.The virtual simulation experiment was completed with image processing as the main body.Conclusions By mainly focusing on bottle mouth defect detection,the detection system dedicates more attention to the user and the task.With more detailed tasks available,the virtual system will eventually yield much better results as a training tool for image processing education.In addition,a novel visual perception-thinking pedagogical framework enables better comprehension than the traditional lecture-tutorial style.

文摘Virtual simulation teaching is an addendum to the experimental teaching mode of railway engineering,and the two teaching methods complement each other and merge with each other.In view of the current research,there is little discussion about the integration path of the two above.Based on the connotation and design of virtual simulation teaching,this research systematically expounds the integration of the real path and path optimization problems,and puts forward the railway engineering experimental teaching principles based on virtual simulation teaching.On the basis of this research,a virtual simulation experiment platform for vibration mechanics and its application in the floating slab vibration damping track was developed to make full use of three-dimensional modeling,virtual reality,human-computer interaction and other technologies,which can realistically simulate the vibration law and vibration damping effect of the rail transit system,and in the hope that the virtual simulation teaching can be widely used in the experimental teaching mode of railway engineering in the future.

文摘The thermal insulation of a bedding system is one of the most critical factors affecting sleeping thermal comfort.This study reported a mathematical model to evaluate both local and total thermal insulations of a bedding system.To determine the geometric parameters in the model,the geometric model of the bedding system was developed using a 3D virtual simulation program.Its reliability was validated by comparing it with the 3D scanning model.The predicted local and total thermal insulations of bedding systems were compared with those measured by the thermal manikin obtained in a previous study.The bedding systems included six down quilts with different filling weights and involved three body postures.The results showed that the predicted thermal insulation values agreed well with the experimental values.The predicted local and total thermal insulations were with acceptable accuracy,whose errors were within 20%and 10%,respectively.Finally,the research discussed the effects of two main parameters(i.e.,the proportions and partial thermal resistances of heat transfer parts)on bedding thermal insulations and provided practical suggestions for regulating bedding thermal insulation.This study has important implications for evaluating the thermal comfort of the bedding system and contributes to improving the sleeping environment.

文摘Helicopters are playing an increasingly important part in emergency relief, such as earthquake rescue, firefighting and medical transport. With the development of virtual simulation technology, virtual simulation-based training is widely used in the training of the helicopter crew especially for the dangerous and costly missions mentioned above. A complete training effectiveness evaluation method is proposed to evaluate the trainees' training effect based on virtual simulation in this paper. A key to this method is regarding the complicated process as a discrete event-activity flow system and establishing the evaluation indicator system. Then expert group and Analytical Network Process(ANP) are applied to determine the weight of indicators. When the training data are processed, there is a novel attempt to apply Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation(FCE) model to calculate the two categories of indicators. Eventually, an experiment and the analysis were carried out to validate the evaluation method.
