Solvothermal reactions of MnCl_2·4H_2O with(pyridin-2-yl)methyl 4-(2-(4-((pyridin-2-yl)methoxy)phenyl)diazenyl)benzoate(L1) via an in situ ligand transformation reaction produced a new coordination polymer, {[Mn_(2.5)Cl_3L_2(H_2O)]·H_2O}_n(1, where HL = 4-(2-(4-((pyridin-2-yl)methoxy)phenyl)diazenyl)benzoic acid). The L1 ligand was decomposed in situ to L^- which was coordinated with Mn(Ⅱ) to form compound 1 in the solvothermal synthesis process. Complex 1 was characterized by IR spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.Compound 1 possesses a 2D network. A new coordination polymer, {[Cd(OPY)_2(tdc)(H_2O)]·H2 O}n(OPY = 4,4?-(oxybis(4,1-phenylene))dipyridine, H2 tdc = thiophene-2,5-dicarboxylic acid), has been synthesized hydrothermally based on a V-shaped ligand OPY. The structure was fully characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR spectroscopy, and X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis. In1, two OPY ligands and one water molecule acted as terminal ligands coordinating to Cd^(2+) cation to form [Cd(OPY)_2 H_2O]^(2+) units, which are then linked by tdc2-ligands to generate a one-dimensional chain. Every two adjacent chains linked by extensive O–H···O hydrogen bonds constitute one-dimensional double-chains, and such chains are extended into two-dimensional layers via O–H···N hydrogen bonds. These layers are further connected to form a three-dimensional supramolecular architecture via π-π stacking interactions. A new structure with the molecular formula [CdL]n was formed by CdSO4 with 4-carboxymethoxy phenylacetic acid (H2L) through the hydrothermal method. The complex was characterized by elemental analysis and infrared spectroscopy. The structure of the complex was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, which is of monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a = 10.3887(2), b = 7.10710(10), c = 14.7212(2) , β = 120.6940(10)°, V = 934.65(3) 3, Dc = 2.278 g·cm-3, Z = 4, F(000) = 624, S = 1.022, the final R = 0.0187 and wR = 0.0487 for 2000 observer reflections (Ⅰ > 2σ(Ⅰ)). The center metal ion Cd(Ⅱ) in the complex is six-coordinated in a distorted octahedral geometry, and is connected with L ligands to form a 3D fishing net structure, which is a novel (3,6) network topology. The luminescence of the complex has been investigated, and the result reveals that it displays luminescent property in the voilet region. 展开更多

Polymer 1 displays a 3D network that is built on the unprecedented heterobimetallic [Cd_3Cd_2K] molecular building block with a(3,4)-connected(6·8·8)2(6·6·82·82·126·126) topology which represents a rare 2-fold interpenetrating 3D framework topology network. Electronic structure and photoluminescence property of a novel white emission phosphor Na_3MgZr(PO_4)_3:Dy^(3+) for warm white light emitting diodes

To explore suitable single-phase white emission phosphors for warm white light emitting diodes, a series of novel phosphors Na_3MgZr(PO_4)_3:xDy^(3+)(0 ≤ x ≤ 0.03) is prepared, and their phase purities as well as photoluminescence properties are discussed in depth via x-ray diffraction structure refinement and photoluminescence spectrum measurement.The electronic structure properties of the Na_3MgZr(PO_4)_3host are calculated. The results reveal that Na_3MgZr(PO_4)_3 possesses a direct band gap with a band gap value of 4.917 e V. The obtained Na_3MgZr(PO_4)_3:Dy^(3+) phosphors are all well crystallized in trigonal structure with space group Rc, which has strong absorption around 365 nm and can generate warm white light emissions peaking at 487, 576, and 673 nm upon ultraviolet excitation, which are attributed to the transitions from ~4F_(9/2) to ~6H_(15/2),~6H_(13/2), and ~6H_(11/2) of Dy^(3+) ions, respectively. The optimal doping content, critical distance, decay time, and Commission International de L'Eclairage(CIE) chromaticity coordinates are investigated in Dy^(3+) ion-doped Na_3MgZr(PO_4)_3. The thermal quenching analysis shows that Na_3MgZr(PO_4)_3:Dy^(3+) has a good thermal stability, and the thermal activation energy is calculated. The performances of Na_3MgZr(PO_4)_3:Dy^(3+) make it a potential single-phase white emission phosphor for warm white light emitting diode. 展开更多

The structure and composition were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, powder X-ray diffraction and elemental analysis. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n with a=10.3182(6), b=8.9129(5), c=10.7940(6) ?, β=105.993(1)o, V=954.3 ?~3, Z=4, Mr=513.91, Dc=3.577 g/cm^3, μ=8.585 mm^(-1), F(000)=960, S=0.955,(Δρ)max=1.380,(Δρ)min=–3.428 e/?~3, the final R=0.0301 and w R=0.0400 for 2301 observed reflections with I > 2σ(I). In addition, pure powder of isostructural Rb Tb(PO_3)_4 was synthesized in order to investigate the optical property. Photoluminescence measurements show that both crystals ATb(PO_3)_4(A=K(1), Rb(2)) are promising candidates to become solid-state visible green light-emitting sources. 展开更多

A novel 2D Mn(Ⅱ) coordination polymer [Mn(CH3COO)2(INH)]n(INH=isoniazid) has been synthesized in DMF solution with isoniazid and Mn(CH3COO)2 . The polymer was characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, FTIR and X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD). The crystal belongs to the monoclinic system, space group P2 1 /c with a=9.3251(18), b=16.340(3), c=8.8096(17) , β=94.747(3)°, V=1337.7(4) 3 , Z=4, μ(MoKα)=1.006 mm -1 , F(000)=636, R=0.0754 and wR=0.1375 (I > 2σ(I)). In the complex, each Mn(Ⅱ) atom is coordinated to three CH3COO- groups and two INH ligands. The Mn(Ⅱ) atoms locate in a distorted coordination octahedron and are bridged by CH3COO- ions to form a 1D S shaped chain extending along the c direction. The INH molecules act as bridges to link the Mn(Ⅱ) atoms of adjacent chains and further construct a lamellar polymer. The remaining coordination site is occupied by an O atom of the other CH3COO-. The experimental results show that the title complex has good luminescence property and could be used as potential optical materials. 展开更多

We also prepare glass samples using Al instead of part Al_2O_3 and doped with Eu^(3+) ions.Addition of Al results in reduction of Eu^(3+) ions to Eu^(2+) ions and change of the luminescence property.The investigation made on to control and characterize the defects could lead to the development of more efficient economical materials with improved properties. 展开更多

A series of Eu2+-doped fluorochlorozirconate glass-ceramics were prepared by solid state reaction method. X-ray diffraction, pho-toluminescence, photo-stimulated luminescence (PSL) and the turbidity of fluorozirconate glass containing BaCl2 nano- and micro-crystals were measured for the samples annealed at 290 °C for 10 min. The PSL was attributed to the characteristic emission of Eu2+ in nano-crystallites of BaCl2, which formed in the glass upon annealing. The PSL efficiency of the glass ceramic was increased by increasing the concentration of BaCl2, which, however, resulted in the decreasing in the transparency of the sample. The sample turned to a semi-transparent glass ceramic or even an opaque and milky white one from a near-transparent glass. The trade-off between optical trans-parency and PSL intensity over different concentrations of BaCl2 for X-ray imaging plate applications was briefly discussed. 展开更多

A new complex [Cd_2(L)_2(Cl)_2(H_2O)]_n(1) was synthesized by reacting CdCl_2·2.5 H_2O with 4-(1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)phenylacetic acid(HL) ligand.The structure of the complex was characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction,IR spectroscopy,elemental analysis and PXRD.Complex 1 crystallizes in triclinic,space group P21/c with a = 11.4303(8),b = 14.1792(10),c = 14.6857(10) ?,β = 96.3780(10)o,V = 2365.4(3) ?~3,Z = 4,C_(20)H_(16)Cl_2N_6O_5Cd_2,M_r = 716.09,D_c = 2.011 g/cm3,μ = 2.069 mm^(-1),S = 1.051,F(000) = 1392,the final R = 0.0458 and wR = 0.0949 for 5402 observed reflections(I > 2σ(I)).Complex 1 is a two-dimensional(2D) layer structure and non-covalent bonding interactions such as C–H···π and π···π extend the 2D to form a three-dimensional supramolecular polymer. 展开更多

The crystal belongs to mono- clinic, space group C2/c, Mr = 2461.61, a = 21.57(10), b = 22.48(6), c = 22.53(6) ?, β = 101.29(2)o, V = 10713(64) ?3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.526 g/cm3, μ = 1.141 mm?1, F(000) = 4920, R = 0.0664 and wR = 0.1774 for 8524 observed reflections (I > 2σ(I)). Complex 1 exists as a centrosymmetric dimmer. The two dppm molecules bridge two AgNMP moieties to form an eight-membered Ag2P4C2 metal- lacyclic ring with ligand NMP chelating to each Ag. It appears photoluminescence (λmax = 625 nm) at room temperature and makes red shift compared with free ligand NMP (λmax = 522 nm). Complex 1 crystallizes in triclinic, space group P1 with a = 9.1648(11), b = 9.3326(12), c = 12.440(2) ?, C_(12)H_(20)N_3O_(13) Nd, Mr = 558.55, V = 886.9(2) ?3, Z = 2, Dc = 2.092 g·cm-3, μ = 3.006 mm-1, F(000) = 554, 2.56<θ<25.00°, λ(Mo Kα) = 0.71073 ?, T = 293(2) K, the final R = 0.0662 and w R = 0.2071. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that complex 1 is a two-dimensional layer, which is further assembled into a three-dimensional supramolecular architecture through hydrogen bonding interactions. The structure of complex 1 can be simplified as a rare 2-periodic uninodal {48·62} topology and a non-interpenetrating kgd topology. The effect of Y and Sb co-doping on the luminescence property of PbWO 4 crystals has been investigated. Compared with undoped PbWO4, the transmittance and emission peak intensity of Y∶Sb∶PbWO 4 crystals were obviously improved. In addition, its transmittance cutoff wavelength and emission peak shifted to the shorter one. The mechanism of effect of Y and Sb on the transmittance spectra was briefly discussed. The light yield of Y∶Sb∶PbWO 4 crystals was 25p.e./MeV, which was two times of that of undoped PbWO 4. Our experiments showed that Y and Sb co-doping was a selectable method to improve the luminescence property of PbWO 4. 展开更多

A new cadmium(Ⅱ) polymer based on imidazole derivative, formulated as [Cd(Hiba)2]n1, H2iba=4-(1-H-imidazol-2-yl) benzoic acid), has been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. The compound crystallizes in triclinic system, space group Pī with a=7.062(4), b=10.840(7), c=13.099(8), α=98.102(7), β=101.524(7), γ=107.961(7)°, V=912.3(10)3 , Z=2, Mr=486.75, Dc=1.772 Mg/m3 , μ=1.234 mm-1 , F(000)=484, the final R=0.0735 and wR=0.1739 for 2154 observed reflections with I>2σ(I). Polymer 1 consists of (Cd-Hiba)2 zigzag chains, which are further linked by hydrogen bonding to extend into a two-dimensional (2D) corrugated-shape sheet structure. The 2D structures are further connected into a 3D supramolecular edifice through hydrogen bonding. The polymer exhibits exceptional high thermal stability. The bulk purity of the materials of 1 was confirmed through the powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) patterns. The luminescent property of polymer 1 has also been investigated. 展开更多
