Therefore, it is of great significance to study the propagation characteristics of borehole acoustic waves in fluid-saturated porous media under stress.Based on the acoustoelastic theory of fluid-saturated porous media, the field equation of fluid-saturated porous media under the conditions of confining pressure and pore pressure and the acoustic field formula of multipole source excitation in open hole are given. The influences of pore pressure and confining pressure on guided waves of multipole borehole acoustic field in fluid-saturated porous media are investigated. The numerical results show that the phase velocity and excitation intensity of guided wave increase significantly under the confining pressure. For a given confining pressure, the phase velocity of the guided wave decreases with pore pressure increasing. The excitation intensity of guided wave increases at low frequency and then decreases at high frequency with pore pressure increasing, except for that of Stoneley wave which decreases in the whole frequency range. Diagnosis is often delayed because of the presence of several clinical manifestations and the high prevalence of secondary bacterial infections. Few reports have attributed secondary bacterial infections in patients with TOM to commensal Neisseria. Thus, understanding the pathogenic mechanisms and clinical features of commensal Neisseria is important, considering its recent presentation as an infection-causing pathogen. Neisseria mucosa is a commensal inhabitant in humans and is generally considered non-pathogenic but can cause infection in rare cases. Here, we report an atypical secondary infection caused by Neisseria mucosa in an 81-year-old woman with TOM being treated for pulmonary tuberculosis. Direct purulent otorrhea smear microscopy revealed no acid-fast bacilli using Ziehl-Neelsen staining, whereas the phagocytosis of gram-negative cocci by white blood cells was confirmed using Gram staining. Otorrhea culture revealed the growth of N. mucosa. Subsequently, M. tuberculosis infection in the otorrhea was identified using a culture-based method. Vigilance is critical for the early detection of TOM to prevent further complications. This report raises awareness regarding TOM and provides insight into the pathogenicity of N. mucosa in otitis media.展开更多

Feynman attempted to find a mathematical representation to express quantum dynamics of the general form for a double-slit experiment. His intuition on several slits with several walls in terms of Lagrangian instead of Hamiltonian resulted in a magnificent work. It was known as Feynman Path Integrals in quantum physics, and a large part of the scientific community still considers them a heuristic tool that lacks a sound mathematical definition. This paper aims to refute this prejudice, by providing an extensive and self-contained description of the mathematical theory of Feynman Path Integration, from the earlier attempts to the latest developments, as well as its applications to quantum mechanics. About a hundred years after the beginning of modern physics, it was realized that light could in fact show behavioral characteristics of both waves and particles. In 1927, Davisson and Germer demonstrated that electrons show the same dual behavior, which was later extended to atoms and molecules. We shall follow the method of integration with some modifications to construct a generalized Lebesgue-Bochner-Stieltjes (LBS) integral of the form , where u is a bilinear operator acting in the product of Banach spaces, f is a Bochner summable function, and μ is a vector-valued measure. We will demonstrate that the Feynman Path Integral is consistent and can be justified mathematically with LBS integration approach.展开更多

Many of the early scholars such as Jack Worsley, Dick Van Buren, and Joe Goodman were reluctant to divulge information about the source of their knowledge, or their professional qualifications. Others, such as John Shen and Hong Yuan-bain were early 20th century immigrants who transmitted highly personalized versions of acupuncture and Chinese medicine to select disciples. Eventually, a new class of scholars appeared, including names such as Ted Kaptchuk, Peter Deadman, Nigel Wiseman, William Morris, Peter Eckman, John Mc Donald, Charles Buck, and the late Giovanni Maciocia who looked for answers back in China, developed translation methodologies and terminology, compiled the main textbooks currently in use at TCM colleges, overcame enormous scholastic adversity, developed courses and pursued the regulation and accreditation of TCM in various countries. This special issue synopsizes the path towards the global acculturation of TCM over the last 50 years, the main protagonists, the enormous accomplishments they have achieved for the profession, their philosophy, their clinical perspectives and visions for the future.展开更多

文摘Feynman-Path Integral in Banach Space: In 1940, R.P. We will demonstrate that the Feynman Path Integral is consistent and can be justified mathematically with LBS integration approach.
文摘It has historically been very difficult to trace the history of the westward transmission of Chinese medicine through the accounts of its protagonists. This special issue synopsizes the path towards the global acculturation of TCM over the last 50 years, the main protagonists, the enormous accomplishments they have achieved for the profession, their philosophy, their clinical perspectives and visions for the future.

文摘Based on the tortuous capillary network model, the relationship between anisotropic permeability and rock normal strain, namely the anisotropic dynamic permeability model(ADPM),was derived and established. The model was verified using pore-scale flow simulation. The uniaxial strain process was calculated and the main factors affecting permeability changes in different directions in the deformation process were analyzed. In the process of uniaxial strain during the exploitation of layered oil and gas reservoirs, the effect of effective surface porosity on the permeability in all directions is consistent. With the decrease of effective surface porosity, the sensitivity of permeability to strain increases. The sensitivity of the permeability perpendicular to the direction of compression to the strain decreases with the increase of the tortuosity, while the sensitivity of the permeability in the direction of compression to the strain increases with the increase of the tortuosity. For layered reservoirs with the same initial tortuosity in all directions, the tortuosity plays a decisive role in the relative relationship between the variations of permeability in all directions during pressure drop. When the tortuosity is less than 1.6,the decrease rate of horizontal permeability is higher than that of vertical permeability, while the opposite is true when the tortuosity is greater than 1.6.This phenomenon cannot be represented by traditional dynamic permeability model. After the verification by experimental data of pore-scale simulation, the new model has high fitting accuracy and can effectively characterize the effects of deformation in different directions on the permeability in all directions.

文摘Recent advances in deep neural networks have shed new light on physics, engineering, and scientific computing.Reconciling the data-centered viewpoint with physical simulation is one of the research hotspots. The physicsinformedneural network(PINN)is currently the most general framework, which is more popular due to theconvenience of constructing NNs and excellent generalization ability. The automatic differentiation(AD)-basedPINN model is suitable for the homogeneous scientific problem;however,it is unclear how AD can enforce fluxcontinuity across boundaries between cells of different properties where spatial heterogeneity is represented bygrid cells with different physical properties. In this work,we propose a criss-cross physics-informed convolutionalneural network(CC-PINN)learning architecture, aiming to learn the solution of parametric PDEs with spatialheterogeneity of physical properties. To achieve the seamless enforcement of flux continuity and integration ofphysicalmeaning into CNN,a predefined 2D convolutional layer is proposed to accurately express transmissibilitybetween adjacent cells. The efficacy of the proposedmethodwas evaluated through predictions of several petroleumreservoir problems with spatial heterogeneity and compared against state-of-the-art(PINN)through numericalanalysis as a benchmark, which demonstrated the superiority of the proposed method over the PINN.

文摘Multiphase flow in low permeability porous media is involved in numerous energy and environmental applications. However,a complete description of this process is challenging due to the limited modeling scale and the effects of complex pore structures and wettability. To address this issue, based on the digital rock of low permeability sandstone,a direct numerical simulation is performed considering the interphase drag and boundary slip to clarify the microscopic water-oil displacement process. In addition,a dual-porosity pore network model(PNM)is constructed to obtain the water-oil relative permeability of the sample. The displacement efficiency as a recovery process is assessed under different wetting and pore structure properties. Results show that microscopic displacement mechanisms explain the corresponding macroscopic relative permeability. The injected water breaks through the outlet earlier with a large mass flow, while thick oil films exist in rough hydrophobic surfaces and poorly connected pores. The variation of water-oil relative permeability is significant, and residual oil saturation is high in the oil-wet system. The flooding is extensive, and the residual oil is trapped in complex pore networks for hydrophilic pore surfaces;thus, water relative permeability is lower in the water-wet system. While the displacement efficiency is the worst in mixed-wetting systems for poor water connectivity.Microporosity negatively correlates with invading oil volume fraction due to strong capillary resistance, and a large microporosity corresponds to low residual oil saturation. This work provides insights into the water-oil flow from different modeling perspectives and helps to optimize the development plan for enhanced recovery.
文摘In light of the rapid growth and development of social media, it has become the focus of interest in many different scientific fields. They seek to extract useful information from it, and this is called (knowledge), such as extracting information related to people’s behaviors and interactions to analyze feelings or understand the behavior of users or groups, and many others. This extracted knowledge has a very important role in decision-making, creating and improving marketing objectives and competitive advantage, monitoring events, whether political or economic, and development in all fields. Therefore, to extract this knowledge, we need to analyze the vast amount of data found within social media using the most popular data mining techniques and applications related to social media sites.

文摘Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is associated with mutations in lipopolysaccharide-binding protein(LBP),but the underlying epigenetic mechanisms remain understudied.Herein,LBP^(-/-)rats with NAFLD were established and used to conduct integrative targetingactive enhancer histone H3 lysine 27 acetylation(H3K27ac)chromatin immunoprecipitation coupled with high-throughput and transcriptomic sequencing analysis to explore the potential epigenetic pathomechanisms of active enhancers of NAFLD exacerbation upon LBP deficiency.Notably,LBP^(-/-)reduced the inflammatory response but markedly aggravated high-fat diet(HFD)-induced NAFLD in rats, with pronounced alterations in the histone acetylome and regulatory transcriptome. In total,1128 differential enhancer-target genes significantly enriched in cholesterol and fatty acid metabolism were identified between wild-type(WT)and LBP^(-/-)NAFLD rats.Based on integrative analysis,CCAAT/enhancer-binding proteinβ(C/EBPβ)was identified as a pivotal transcription factor(TF)and contributor to dysregulated histone acetylome H3K27ac,and the lipid metabolism gene SCD was identified as a downstream effector exacerbating NAFLD.This study not only broadens our understanding of the essential role of LBP in the pathogenesis of NAFLD from an epigenetics perspective but also identifies key TF C/EBPβand functional gene SCD as potential regulators and therapeutic targets.

文摘This study sets up two new merit functions, which are minimized for the detection of real eigenvalue and complex eigenvalue to address nonlinear eigenvalue problems. For each eigen-parameter the vector variable is solved from a nonhomogeneous linear system obtained by reducing the number of eigen-equation one less, where one of the nonzero components of the eigenvector is normalized to the unit and moves the column containing that component to the right-hand side as a nonzero input vector.1D and 2D golden section search algorithms are employed to minimize the merit functions to locate real and complex eigenvalues.Simultaneously, the real and complex eigenvectors can be computed very accurately.A simpler approach to the nonlinear eigenvalue problems is proposed, which implements a normalization condition for the uniqueness of the eigenvector into the eigenequation directly. The real eigenvalues can be computed by the fictitious time integration method(FTIM),which saves computational costs compared to the one-dimensional golden section search algorithm(1D GSSA).The simpler method is also combined with the Newton iterationmethod, which is convergent very fast. All the proposed methods are easily programmed to compute the eigenvalue and eigenvector with high accuracy and efficiency.
