Base on the analysis of the flow around the fin and the frost forming mechanism, this paper describes an analytical model that was developed to predict the performance of finned-tube heat exchangers under frosting conditions. The results include frost accumulation and its effect on energy transfer in relation to time. Comparing the analytical data with those experimental data in the past literature, it is found that the model typically underpredicted the experimental results.展开更多
