Improving autoencoder-based unsupervised damage detection in uncontrolled structural health monitoring under noisy conditions

Structural health monitoring is widely utilized in outdoor environments,especially under harsh conditions,which can introduce noise into the monitoring system.Therefore,designing an effective denoising strategy to enhance the performance of guided wave damage detection in noisy environments is crucial.This paper introduces a local temporal principal component analysis(PCA)reconstruction approach for denoising guided waves prior to implementing unsupervised damage detection,achieved through novel autoencoder-based reconstruction.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed denoising method significantly enhances damage detection performance when guided waves are contaminated by noise,with SNR values ranging from 10 to-5 dB.Following the implementation of the proposed denoising approach,the AUC score can elevate from 0.65 to 0.96 when dealing with guided waves corrputed by noise at a level of-5 dB.Additionally,the paper provides guidance on selecting the appropriate number of components used in the denoising PCA reconstruction,aiding in the optimization of the damage detection in noisy conditions. 展开更多

In order to deal with the unclear absorption peak caused by the absorption peak overlap of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and other mixtures,a method of three unsupervised clustering algorithms as K-means,K-medoids and Fuzzy C-means(FCM)combined with the first derivative characteristics of terahertz absorption spectrum,is proposed to perform the terahertz spectra clustering of Sanchi and other three kinds of TCM compared with their easily-confused products(ECPs).These three unsupervised clustering methods complement the scope of the supervised learning classification method.The first derivative of the spectrum could amplify the difference in the absorption coefficient with different substances,so that the obvious absorption peak can be revealed.Experiments shows that these three clustering algorithms can achieve good results by combining the origin absorption coefficient with its first-order derivative as the characteristic data,and among which K-means does the best with the accuracy of95.32%.Compared with pure absorption coefficient data clustering,the accuracy in this study has been significantly improved,especially for the non-absorption-peak TCM classification.And the accuracy of K-means algorithm is improved by5.38%.Besides,clustering algorithms in this study have strong anti-interference ability to the error data. 展开更多

Since traditional nail diagnosis is susceptible to objective factors such as illumination,medical experience,etc.,a nail diagnosis system of traditional Chinese medicine which combines objective nail image acquisition with information analysis is proposed and applied to the clinical research of nail diagnosis of uremia patients.Fifteen nail pictures of uremic patients were collected and segmented.The color information of nails was extracted.The relationship between the hemoglobin values of uremic patients and the values of color space before and after maintenance hemodialysis was analyzed by correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis.The experimental results show that the hemoglobin value of uremic patients have certain correlations with multiple color channels;before and after dialysis,there are significant changes in multiple channels;and the related multiple regression equation is established. 展开更多

Inductive coupling transmission system is an important measurement device for acquiring and transmitting marine environmental information.However,low transmission rate cannot meet the current demand for large data transmission in marine environment detection at home.In order to improve the transmission performance of the system in practical communication system,optimizing the design by directly changing the circuit parameters is time-consuming and expensive.Therefore,a set of inductive coupling transmission channel analysis system is designed based on virtual instrument to improve the transmission rate and reliability of inductive coupling transmission system.The bit error rate of channel system at different frequency and noise levels are tested by using three kinds of digital modulation mode including amplitude shift keying(ASK),frequency shift keying(FSK)and differential phase shift keying(DPSK),taking square wave and sine wave as a carrier.Finally,the sine wave is selected to be carrier signal and DPSK is chosen to be modulation mode.The reliable transmission of signal with the error rate less than0.005and the transmission rate of9600bps,at the noise level of-10dB,is realized and verified by the debugging circuit experiments with multi-nodes in the laboratory.The study provides an important experimental evidence for improving signal transmission reliability of inductive coupling transmission system. 展开更多

为了研究纳米晶在溶液中的生长规律,设计并实现了一个能够实时监测纳米晶生长的原位透射光谱系统。利用该系统对PbS纳米线和纳米点在水相中生长过程进行了原位光谱检测,发现十二烷基硫酸钠对PbS纳米晶的定向生长起了非常重要的作用。
