A total of 300 Chinese college students were surveyed through the online survey platform “Credamo.” The study used the Childhood Unpredictability Scale (CUS), the Distress Tolerance Scale (DTS), and the Gaming Addiction Scale (GAS) for measurement. The results showed that childhood unpredictability was positively correlated with online game addiction, distress tolerance was negatively correlated with online game addiction, and distress tolerance played a significant mediating role between childhood unpredictability and online game addiction. The study emphasizes the importance of maintaining family environment stability and cultivating individual distress tolerance in preventing online game addiction.展开更多
