Water fluoride pollution has caused non-negligible harm to the environment and humans,and thus it is crucial to find a suitable treatment technology.In this study,La-Fe@PTA adsorbent was synthesized for the defluorida...Water fluoride pollution has caused non-negligible harm to the environment and humans,and thus it is crucial to find a suitable treatment technology.In this study,La-Fe@PTA adsorbent was synthesized for the defluoridation of mine water.The results showed that the optimum conditions for defluoridation by La-Fe@PTA were p H close to 7.0,the initial F-concentration of 10 mg/L,the dosage of 0.5 g/L and the adsorption time of 240 min.Compared with SO_4^(2-),Cl^(-),NO_(3)^(-),Ca^(2+)and Mg^(2+),CO_(3)^(2-)and HCO_(3)^(-)presented severer inhibition on fluoride uptake by La-Fe@PTA.The adsorption process fits well with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Freundlich model,and the maximum adsorption capacity of Langmuir model was 95 mg/g.Fixed-bed adsorption results indicated that fluoride in practical fluorinated mine water could be effectively removed from 3.6 mg/L to less than 1.5 mg/L within130 bed volume(BV)by using 1.5 g La-Fe@PTA.Furthermore,the adsorbent still had good adsorption capacity after regeneration,which confirms the great application potential of La-Fe@PTA as a fluoride ion adsorbent.The mechanism analysis showed that La-Fe@PTA adsorption of fluorine ions is a physicochemical reaction driven by electrostatic attraction and ion exchange.展开更多
The Tibetan Plateau is one of the most important ecological barriers in China. Resolving the internal relations and dynamics ruling the association between regional vegetation and climate change is important to unders...The Tibetan Plateau is one of the most important ecological barriers in China. Resolving the internal relations and dynamics ruling the association between regional vegetation and climate change is important to understand and protect the regional ecosystems. Based on vegetation, temperature and precipitation data of the Tibetan Plateau from 2001 to 2010, we analyze the spatial and temporal variations of vegetation cover over the past 10 years and discuss the vegetation response to climate change using empirical orthogonal function and singular value decomposition. Our results reveal the following:(1) vegetation cover gradually decreases from the southeast to the northwest of the Tibetan Plateau;(2) vegetation cover has increased on the Tibetan Plateau over the past 10 years, mainly in the central and eastern zones; and(3) a significant positive relationship was suggested between vegetation cover during growing season and the temperature in the entire region and with precipitation in the central and southern zones.展开更多
Neuroscience research shows that the environment shapes people’s physical and mental health through its effects on the brain and nervous system.Currently,mental health issues are increasingly highlighted,and research...Neuroscience research shows that the environment shapes people’s physical and mental health through its effects on the brain and nervous system.Currently,mental health issues are increasingly highlighted,and research on the psychological impacts of the urban environment brought by urbanization has received increasing attention.This article,from an view of multidisciplinary perspective,gives a brief overview of the concepts and theories relating to urban environment and mental health,using Citespace to investigate various domestical and international studies in this field,and introducing research progresses in terms of the overall characteristics of urban environment,their impacts on mental health,and the main environmental influence factors and functional mechanism.It then summarizes the weakness of the studies in China and makes proposals for furthering the research in the future,such as setting up a multidisciplinary integrated theoretical method framework,deepening factor identification,process analysis,and mechanism interpretation,promoting the establishment of evidence-based healthy city planning and design,and finally exploring research paradigms suitable for Chinese conditions and pushing for the development of urban public mental health enhancement strategies with Chinese characteristics.展开更多
