Internet addiction and cyberbullying have emerged as significant global mental health concerns in recent years.Although previous studies have shown a close association between Internet addiction and cyberbullying,the u...Internet addiction and cyberbullying have emerged as significant global mental health concerns in recent years.Although previous studies have shown a close association between Internet addiction and cyberbullying,the underlying mechanisms connecting these two phenomena remain unclear.Therefore,this study aimed to reveal the mechanisms involved between Internet addiction and cyberbullying perpetration from the perspective of cognition function.This study recruited 976 Chinese youth through online survey,using the short version of Internet Addiction Test(s-IAT),Chinese Cyberbullying Intervention Project Questionnaire(C-CIPQ),Cyberbullying Moral Disengagement Scale(CMDS),and Internet Literacy Questionnaire(ILQ)to investigate the relationship between Internet addiction,moral disengagement,Internet literacy and cyberbullying perpetration.The keyfindings of this study were as follows:after controlling gender and age,(1)Internet addiction had a significant positive predictive effect on cyberbullying perpetration;(2)moral disengagement acted as a mediator between Internet addiction and cyberbullying perpetration;and(3)Internet literacy played a moderating role between moral disengagement and cyberbullying perpetration.In conclusion,there was a moderated mediating effect between Internet addiction and cyberbullying perpetration,contributing to a better understanding of the relationship between these two phenomena.展开更多
English as an international language,English writing is a very important skill as an important form of language output,which is not only an important means of expressing emotions and awareness,but also reflects the ab...English as an international language,English writing is a very important skill as an important form of language output,which is not only an important means of expressing emotions and awareness,but also reflects the ability to use language in an integrated way.In language teaching,the development of English writing skills is an important and challenging teaching task.English writing language is expressed not only at the basic level of vocabulary,grammar,and sentence structure,but also at the higher-order level of text organization,logical reasoning,and argumentation.However,in traditional English writing teaching,students usually do not have the opportunity to have an in-depth experience of the context of the topic,which leads to a lack of motivation and poor writing results.Therefore,this study developed an SVVR learning system based on spherical video-based virtual reality(SVVR)technology and conducted a quasi-experiment in a university English major classroom.The results of the study showed that the SVVR-supported approach to English writing could improve students'writing performance,enrich writing content,and increase learning motivation.展开更多

This study is conducted by means of constructive approach and it employs both the quantitative and qualitative techniques. It attempts to examine the interaction between two design team members (one novice and one expert) and describes how these observations intersect with the theoretical and applied literature and actual design processes. Taking cues from two theoretical descriptions of the design process, the study presented here suggests that modes and models of mentorship should be added, when applicable, as a descriptive portion of the design process.展开更多
Background Spatial ability is an unique type of intelligence;it can be distinguished from other forms of intelligence and plays an essential role in an individual's success in many academic fields,particular in th...Background Spatial ability is an unique type of intelligence;it can be distinguished from other forms of intelligence and plays an essential role in an individual's success in many academic fields,particular in this era of technology.Instruction-assisted 3D technology can display stereo graphics and promote students'understanding of the geometrical structure and characteristics of graphics.Spatial ability includes several aspects.Few software programs are available for training different aspects of spatial ability for senior high school students.This study aims to explore an effective method for training the spatial ability for senior high school students,and to promote the development of students'independent inquiry ability.Methods First,an inquiry design strategy to improve the spatial ability of students is proposed.Based on this strategy,unity3D was used to develop a 3D inquiry environment that can use leap motion to complete a gesture interaction.Finally,researchers carried out experience-based activities and issued user experience questionnaires to participants to verify the application effect of the spatial ability inquiry environment and used interviews to understand the user experience of participants exploring the leap motion device in a 3D inquiry environment.Results 32 learners participated in the experiment.learners have a high score for perceived usefulness and willingness to use.Compared with the perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness,the average score of the application effect is relatively low.In terms of willingness to use,most of the learners expressed their willingness to use a similar inquiry environment for spatial ability training in the future.Conclusions The spatial ability inquiry environment can help learners better understand different concepts.The users showed a strong willingness to continue using the device.The device also updates the teaching concept to a certain extent and emphasizes the dominant position of a student.展开更多
Various feature selection algorithms are usually employed to improve classification models’overall performance.Optimization algorithms typically accompany such algorithms to select the optimal set of features.Among t...Various feature selection algorithms are usually employed to improve classification models’overall performance.Optimization algorithms typically accompany such algorithms to select the optimal set of features.Among the most currently attractive trends within optimization algorithms are hybrid metaheuristics.The present paper presents two Stages of Local Search models for feature selection based on WOA(Whale Optimization Algorithm)and Great Deluge(GD).GD Algorithm is integrated with the WOA algorithm to improve exploitation by identifying the most promising regions during the search.Another version is employed using the best solution found by the WOA algorithm and exploited by the GD algorithm.In addition,disruptive selection(DS)is employed to select the solutions from the population for local search.DS is chosen to maintain the diversity of the population via enhancing low and high-quality solutions.Fifteen(15)standard benchmark datasets provided by the University of California Irvine(UCI)repository were used in evaluating the proposed approaches’performance.Next,a comparison was made with four population-based algorithms as wrapper feature selection methods from the literature.The proposed techniques have proved their efficiency in enhancing classification accuracy compared to other wrapper methods.Hence,the WOA can search effectively in the feature space and choose the most relevant attributes for classification tasks.展开更多

The 5G communication technology serving a wide range of vertical industries is maturing,which provides a possible boost for the development of smart education and lays a foundation for solving the principal contradict...The 5G communication technology serving a wide range of vertical industries is maturing,which provides a possible boost for the development of smart education and lays a foundation for solving the principal contradiction in current education.With the characteristics of ultra-high speed,low latency,low energy consumption,massive network capacity,and high reliability,the 5G technology is applied with other technologies like artificial intelligence(AI),internet of things(IoT),big data,and blockchain to promote the application upgrading of intelligent education technology.This paper analyzes the intelligent education technology and its eight typical applications in the 5G era,which include smart safe campus,integrated learning spaces,synchronous cyber classrooms,teachers’professional development,robot learning partners,mobile and ubiquitous learning,virtual simulation training,and smart e-textbooks.Then,it discusses how intelligent education technology promotes changes in the modes of learning and teaching in the 5G era from three dimensions:individual learning,collaborative group learning,and classroom-based collective teaching.At last,the framework of smart education in the 5G era is proposed from the perspectives of intelligent education technology and its typical applications,changes in learning and teaching,and the new ecosystem of smart education.展开更多

Adolescent alienation is a symptom of problems in relations among the individual,school,community,and family.Based on a research conducted with a sample of 897 Tibetan adolescent students in Grades 7 to 12,this study ...Adolescent alienation is a symptom of problems in relations among the individual,school,community,and family.Based on a research conducted with a sample of 897 Tibetan adolescent students in Grades 7 to 12,this study reveals that over one third of subjects experience high levels of alienation.Questionnaire data and field work show possible sources of this alienation in contemporary rural Tibetan society in China,factors that may reduce alienation,and explanations for low levels of alienation among some students.The paper concludes with an argument for researchers and policy makers to pay greater attention to the issue of alienation among minority boarding school students.展开更多
