The effects of cell therapy are based directly on the cell type used and the type of cardiac pathology. For myocardial ischemia in the hibernating myocardium, bone marrow cells have functional benefits, however these results in transmural fibrosis are not evident. In these cases there is a benefit of implantation with skeletal myoblasts, for treating the underlying cause of disease, the loss of cell contractility.展开更多

We recorded 79 species of 36 families and 14 orders. Of these 71% are resident species, 22% are residential migrants and 8% are migratory. One endangered species, three near threatened species, and a few occasional visitors were re-corded. Species diversity and abundance of birds were greater during from October through May as there was availability of food, increased vegetation and the arrival of migratory birds. Minimum diversity was recorded from June through September owing to heavy rains, increased flow of water, limited availability of food and return of migratory birds.展开更多

The aim of this study was to determine the incidence of UTI and prevalence of uropathogens among pregnant women. During the study period from December 2009 to August 2010, 417 urine samples were analyzed. UTI was diagnosed by growth of at least 105 CFU/ml of a urinary tract pathogen in a culture of a midstream urine sample. The isolated bacteria were identified by biochemical tests. The results showed that 49.4% of pregnant women have UTI. E. coli which was the most frequently isolated organism (56.79%), followed by Klebsiella sps (19.9%), Pseudomonas sps (6.3%), and Proteus sps (5.8%). Other pathogens isolated were Enterobacter (3.8%), Citrobacter (1.4%) and Enterococcus sps (0.9%). Of the variables examined, the highest prevalence rate was observed where, 53.3% of the infected women were in the age group 36 to 40 years, 54.15% were in their 3rd trimester;also the highest infection rate (70.2%) was observed in 7th month of pregnancy, concluding that old age pregnancy increased parity prone for UTI apart from individual hygiene and economical status.展开更多

The semi structured interview was used in order to obtain data that were submitted to content analysis. The subjects are patients undergoing hemodynamic procedures in the Hospital SEMPER (Permanent Medical Service), Belo Horizonte, Brazil. We conclude that within the experience of listening to music while undergoing catheterization, 100% of the patients interviewed claimed they had overcome the experience of stress and felt calm, tranquility, peace and happiness. Some patients described the music as a companion, as something that diverts their attention from fear, transporting them to an imaginary place, to another dimension. The episodic memory, the capacity to recognize a musical excerpt for which the spatiotemporal context surrounding its former encounter could be recalled, was also important, with surprising results, in the case of patients who underwent catheterization in the presence of music and, later, angioplasty without the presence of music.展开更多

Ternary films of Poly (methylmethacrylate), Poly (ethlymathacrylate) and poly (vinlylidenefluoride) were prepared using solution cast technique. Thereafter, to study the hetro charges, homo-charges and interfacial charge formation in ternary system, the short circuit thermally stimulated discharge current (SC-TSDC) measurements were carried out on bilaterally metallized electrets. The ternary blend samples taken for the present investigations are hetrogeneous system involving three polymers differing in their conduction behaviour and dielectric property. Thus, unequal ohmic conduction currents arriving at the interface are expected to result in accumulation of charges at the interface or the Maxwell-Wagner effect. Clearly the Maxwell Wagner effect is expected to contribute discernibly to the observed TSDC’s of the ternary blends. The PMMA: PEMA: PVDF:: 100:100:50 blend exhibits highest tendency while 100:50:100 the least, towards the anomalous current flow. Moreover, the conductivity of 100: 100: 50 is found to be more and, therefore, a large amount of homocharge is injected leading to anomalous current.展开更多

The episodic memory, the capacity to recognize a musical excerpt for which the spatiotemporal context surrounding its former encounter could be recalled, was also important, with surprising results, in the case of patients who underwent catheterization in the presence of music and, later, angioplasty without the presence of music.
文摘The attainment of a better understanding and improvement of electrical properties of ternary blend is a task of particular scientific and economic importance. Moreover, the conductivity of 100: 100: 50 is found to be more and, therefore, a large amount of homocharge is injected leading to anomalous current.
文摘The effect of confined one-gluon-exchange potential and instanton-induced interaction potential in the singlet(1S0)and triplet(3S1)channels for nucleon–nucleon interaction has been investigated in the framework of the relativistic harmonic model using the resonating group method in the adiabatic limit with the Born–Oppenheimer approximation. The contributions of the different components of the interaction potentials have been analyzed.
文摘A simple synthesis of medicinally important cis-2-methyl-4-azapan-2-one-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolines/cis-9- (2-methyl-l,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolin-4-yl)-9H-carbazole was reported. Multicomponent one pot synthesis with ani- lines and N-vinylcaprolactam/N-vinyl carbazole via imino Diels-Alder reaction by using antimony trichloride as catalyst and acetonitrile as solvent was employed. NMR technique (2D) was used to study the regio- and stereo- chemistry of newly synthesized compounds. The cis diastereo-selectivity of the products was predicted by COSY and NOESY studies.
