In plants, multiple regulatory genes, such as the WRKY transcription factor (TF) family, modulate the expression of defense genes. However, the role of the pineapple WRKY genes is poorly understood. Here, we studied the pineapple WRKY gene, AcWRKY28, by generating AcWRKY28 over-expressing transgenic pineapple plants. Overexpression of AcWRKY28 enhanced the salt stress resistance in transgenic pineapple lines. Comparative transcriptome analysis of transgenic and wild-type pineapple plants showed that “plant-pathogen interaction” pathway genes, including 9calcium-dependent protein kinases (CPKs), were up-regulated in AcWRKY28 over-expressing plants. Furthermore, chromatin immunoprecipitation and yeast one-hybrid assays revealed AcCPK12, AcCPK3, AcCPK8, AcCPK1, and AcCPK15 as direct targets of AcWRKY28. Consistently, the study of AcCPK12 over-expressing Arabidopsis lines showed that AcCPK12 enhances salt, drought, and disease resistance. This study shows that AcWRKY28 plays a crucial role in promoting salt stress resistance by activating the expression of AcCPK genes.展开更多

The present study was conducted to assess the molecular characterization and genetic diversity amongst natural populations of Myrica rubra in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, thus to provide scientific evidenc...The present study was conducted to assess the molecular characterization and genetic diversity amongst natural populations of Myrica rubra in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, thus to provide scientific evidence for germplasm conservation and exploitation. Using ISSR (inter-simple sequence repeats) markers, the level of genetic variation and the molecular characterization of 10 natural populations of M. rubra, originated from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in China, were performed. Based on 11 primers, 123 clear and reproducible DNA fragments were generated, of which 95 (77.24%) were polymorphic. The average value of Nei’s gene diversity (He) was 0.268. The coefficient of genetic differentiation (Gst) was 0.341, revealing that 34.1% of the total molecular variance existed among populations. The Mantel statistical testing showed that the genetic distance was correlated to the geographic distance, but the correlation was not significant. Ten populations were divided into two big clusters according to unweighted pair group method with arithmetic mean (UPGMA) analysis. One consisted of populations of Rongxian (RX), Hepu (HP), Liangqing (LQ), Marshan (MS), Lingshan (LS) and Shansi (SS), which originated from the southern Guangxi, while the other was composed of Guanyang (GY) and Lingui (LG) populations of northern Guangxi, Huanjiang (HJ) populations of northwestern Guangxi and Shanglin (SL) populations of southern Guangxi. The level of genetic variation in wild M. rubra population distributed in Guangxi is high. Gene drift within the population was responsible for genetic variation in wild M. rubra in Guangxi, and the effect of the genetic flow among inter-populations was not significant. Classification of wild M. rubra populations was correlated to climate and environment. The molecular characterization and diversity assessment of M. rubra is of immense value for planning conservation of its genetic resources and their exploitation for further studies.展开更多

[Objective] The purpose was to understand species and occurrence status of major fugal diseases in sugarcane cultivation areas of Guangxi in China, so as to provide scientific references for integrated control against...[Objective] The purpose was to understand species and occurrence status of major fugal diseases in sugarcane cultivation areas of Guangxi in China, so as to provide scientific references for integrated control against sugarcane diseases. [Method] Species and occurrence degrees of major fugal diseases in sugarcane cultivation areas of Guangxi were investigated through randomized surveys, farmer interviews, literature references and location investigations from 2009 to 2011. Diseased sugarcane samples were collected and their species were identified through pathogen isolated culture and other relevant methods. [Result] Thirteen species of fungal diseases were identified in the survey, including pineapple disease [Thielaviopsis paradoxa (de Seynes) V. Hohnel], smut(Ustilago scitaminea Sydow), top rot disease (Fusarium moniliforme Sheldon), rust (Puccinia melanocephala H.﹠P. Syd.), leaf scald disease (Stagonospora sacchari Lo et Ling), red rot disease (Colletotrichum falcatum Went), zonate spot disease (Phyllosticta saccharicola P. Henn.), leaf red spot disease [Pellicularia sasakii (Shirai) Ito], white rash disease (Elsinoe sacchari L.), eye spot [Helminthosporium sacchari (Breda de Haan) Butler], yellow spot [Mycovellosiella koepkei (kruger) Deighton], brown stripe [Bipolaris stenospilum (Drechs.) Shoem.]and brown spot (Cercospora longipes Butler). Smut, rust, top rot, and pineapple disease were the most rampantly detrimental to quality and yield of sugarcane. [Conclusion] Smut is the most serious sugarcane disease; it is urgent to breed sugarcane varieties with high resistance and excellent agronomic characters to replace current sugarcane varieties susceptible to diseases.展开更多

By analyzing the genomic DNA of 97 red-pericarp rice cultivars,we identified two new alleles in C139 and C323. The content of Cd,Pb and As of 50 soil samples of cultivation layer( 0- 20 cm),taken from main rice producing areas in West Guangxi,is determined. The environment quality of soil is assessed with the single factor index and the potential ecological risk of paddy soil is evaluated with the potential ecological risk index of Hakanson. The results show that the mean content of Cd,Pb,and As in paddy soil samples is 0. 941,26. 46 and 10. 16 mg / kg,respectively. The Cd content of 54. 0% soil samples and the As content of 2. 0% soil samples are higher than the standard II National Soil Environment Quality,and Cd in paddy soil has high potential ecological risk. Heavy metal pollution in paddy soil in West Guangxi is mainly Cd pollution.展开更多

The dilution spread plate method and selenium-added culture method were ...To provide reference for selenium resource exploitation of soil,many selenium-tolerant strains were isolated from selenium-rich soil in Guangxi. The dilution spread plate method and selenium-added culture method were used to screen the selenium-tolerant strains from the soils which were sampled from the main Selenium-rich areas such as Yongfu,Bama,Yulin Hanshan,Guiping and Tengxian. The results showed that 8 strains with high selenium tolerance were obtained,which could tolerate the selenium concentration above 10 000 μg/m L in solid medium. Among the 8 strains,YLB1-33 showed the highest selenium tolerance,and it could still grow weakly in the solid medium with selenium concentration of 29 000 μg/m L. The sequencing of 16 S rD NA and phylogenetic analysis showed that YLB1-6 was identified as Bacillus cereus,BMB2-1 and TXB1-8 were identified as Bacillus pumilus,GPB2-5 was identified as Bacillus thuringiensis,YLB1-26 and YLB1-33 were identified as Bacillus licheniformis,and YLB1-2 and YFB1-8 were identified as Serratia marcescens. The finding of selenium-tolerance strains had potential application value on promoting the utilization of selenium soil resources and the development of selenium-rich agricultural products in Guangxi.展开更多

Fruit color is an important trait inf luencing the commercial value of eggplant fruits.Three dominant genes(D,P and Y)cooperatively control the anthocyanin coloration in eggplant fruits,but none has been mapped.In thi...Fruit color is an important trait inf luencing the commercial value of eggplant fruits.Three dominant genes(D,P and Y)cooperatively control the anthocyanin coloration in eggplant fruits,but none has been mapped.In this study,two white-fruit accessions(19141 and 19147)and their F2 progeny,with 9:7 segregation ratio of anthocyanin pigmented versus non-pigmented fruits,were used for mapping the D and P genes.A high-density genetic map was constructed with 5270 SNPs spanning 1997.98 cM.Three QTLs were identified,including two genes on chromosome 8 and one on chromosome 10.Gene expression analyses suggested that the SmANS on chromosome 8 and SmMYB1 on chromosome 10 were the putative candidate genes for P and D,respectively.We further identified(1)a SNP leading to a premature stop codon within the conserved PLN03176 domain of SmANS in 19141,(2)a G base InDel in the promoter region leading to an additional cis-regulatory element and(3)a 6-bp InDel within the R2-MYB DNA binding domain of SmMYB1,in 19147.Subsequently,these three variations were validated by PARMS technology as related to phenotypes in the F2 population.Moreover,silencing of SmANS or SmMYB1 in the purple red fruits of F1(E3316)led to inhibition of anthocyanin biosynthesis in the peels.Conversely,overexpression of SmANS or SmMYB1 restored anthocyanin biosynthesis in the calli of 19141 and 19147 respectively.Our findings demonstrated the epistatic interactions underlying the white color of eggplant fruits,which can be potentially applied to breeding of eggplant fruit peel color.展开更多
Among the numerous fruit species of Baccaurea ramiflora Lour.,‘LR’(white flesh)and‘BR’(pink flesh)are two kinds of local strains with high edibility.In order to study the metabolic causes of taste differences,we p...Among the numerous fruit species of Baccaurea ramiflora Lour.,‘LR’(white flesh)and‘BR’(pink flesh)are two kinds of local strains with high edibility.In order to study the metabolic causes of taste differences,we performed the non-targeted metabonomics analysis of‘LR’and‘BR’using LC-MS/MS.541 metabolites were totally identified,and 45 kinds of metabolites(carbohydrates,fatty acids,flavonoids and terpenoids,etc.)were different between the two strains.The results indicate L-sorbose,D-(+)-glucose,citric acid,L-phenylalanine and oleamide,α-eleostearic acid were the main primary metabolites.The significant difference existed in pathways of unsaturated fatty acids between the studied two strains by pathway enrichment analysis.The results demonstrate that the different in composition,as well as the abundance of primary and secondary metabolites may be the potential causes of taste differences,which provides a new insight into the possible metabolic factors setting off the changing taste of B.ramiflora.展开更多

The r...Based on the investigation of 56 soil samples( 0-30 cm) in citrus orchards of Guangxi,the content of soil organic matter and available nutrients as well as their correlations in the citrus orchards were studied. The results showed that soil was rich in organic matter,and the proportion of soil samples deficient in available N,P and K was 30. 36%,32. 14% and 28. 57% respectively. Soil was seriously deficient in soil available Ca,Mg and B,while the content of soil available Fe and Cu in soil was too high. There were significant or extremely significant positive or negative correlations between soil pH,organic matter and several available nutrients. It is recommended to apply Mg fertilizer,B fertilizer,lime or other alkaline fertilizer and reduce the spraying of fungicides containing Cu in the citrus orchards.展开更多

文摘[Objective] The purpose was to understand species and occurrence status of major fugal diseases in sugarcane cultivation areas of Guangxi in China, so as to provide scientific references for integrated control against sugarcane diseases. [Method] Species and occurrence degrees of major fugal diseases in sugarcane cultivation areas of Guangxi were investigated through randomized surveys, farmer interviews, literature references and location investigations from 2009 to 2011. Diseased sugarcane samples were collected and their species were identified through pathogen isolated culture and other relevant methods. [Result] Thirteen species of fungal diseases were identified in the survey, including pineapple disease [Thielaviopsis paradoxa (de Seynes) V. Hohnel], smut(Ustilago scitaminea Sydow), top rot disease (Fusarium moniliforme Sheldon), rust (Puccinia melanocephala H.﹠P. Syd.), leaf scald disease (Stagonospora sacchari Lo et Ling), red rot disease (Colletotrichum falcatum Went), zonate spot disease (Phyllosticta saccharicola P. Henn.), leaf red spot disease [Pellicularia sasakii (Shirai) Ito], white rash disease (Elsinoe sacchari L.), eye spot [Helminthosporium sacchari (Breda de Haan) Butler], yellow spot [Mycovellosiella koepkei (kruger) Deighton], brown stripe [Bipolaris stenospilum (Drechs.) Shoem.]and brown spot (Cercospora longipes Butler). Smut, rust, top rot, and pineapple disease were the most rampantly detrimental to quality and yield of sugarcane. [Conclusion] Smut is the most serious sugarcane disease; it is urgent to breed sugarcane varieties with high resistance and excellent agronomic characters to replace current sugarcane varieties susceptible to diseases.

文摘Agricultural non-point source pollution has become the main part of water pollution prevention and control in China. This paper made a brief introduction to the causes and hazards of agricultural non-point source pollution and the current situation of agricultural non-point source pollution prevention and control in China. In view of the serious agricultural non-point source pollution in water environment of Guangxi and the difference in quality of drinking water between urban and rural areas,it came up with recommendations for strengthening agricultural non-point source pollution prevention and control from scientific distribution,linked operation and maintenance,popular science education,and legal system construction,to guarantee safe and healthy drinking water in rural areas.

文摘The soil in Guangxi has been severely acidified,restricting sustainable development of agriculture.In this paper,based on the screening of organic fertilizer additives,a method for the production of acidification-resistant organic fertilizer specific for acid red soil improvement was proposed,and the developed acidification-resistant organic fertilizer was used in sugarcane experiment.The results showed that in the treatment that the specific acidification-resistant organic fertilizer was applied,the yield of sugarcane significantly increased,the p H value of soil effectively increased,the physical and chemical properties of soil improved,and the contents of microorganisms and available nutrients in soil increased.

This paper firstly introduced the value of development and utilization of M. oleifera in nutrition,medicinal,industrial,greening,etc. Then,focusing on the current development status of M. oleifera industry in Guangxi and combining Guangxi's resource conditions,it came up with recommendations for the comprehensive development and rational utilization of M. oleifera. Besides,it made a prediction of the prospect of Se-enriched M.oleifera industry in Guangxi.

文摘Rice has different colors of pericarp,such as red,white and black. Red rice pericarp is rich in proanthocyanins,which have antioxidant properties and are beneficial to human health. In the present study,we analyzed the red-pericarp gene Rc of 419 rice landraces in Guangxi by genome-wide association study( GWAS),and validated that the Rc gene regulated the red pericarp trait in rice. By analyzing the genomic DNA of 97 red-pericarp rice cultivars,we identified two new alleles in C139 and C323. Then,the exons of Rc^(C139) and Rc^(C323) were sequenced with Sanger method,and the results demonstrated that the natural mutations within Rc gene resulted in the two alleles Rc^(C139) and Rc^(C323).

文摘This study was to find out the suitable application amount of plant-derived humic acid organic fertilizer for selenium-rich rice production in northern Guilin area by applying the fertilizer at different amounts.The results showed that plant-derived humic acid organic fertilizer could effectively activate selenium in selenium-rich soil,and then promote the uptake of selenium by rice.With costs,selenium enrichment and rice yield as the main evaluation indicators,A4 was chosen as the best treatment,that is,the application of 4 500 kg/hm^2 of plant-derived humic acid organic fertilizer as base fertilizer could achieve the best benefit.

文摘This paper aims to understand the current situation of heavy metal pollution in paddy soil in West Guangxi,to provide a reference for heavy metal pollution control. The content of Cd,Pb and As of 50 soil samples of cultivation layer( 0- 20 cm),taken from main rice producing areas in West Guangxi,is determined. The environment quality of soil is assessed with the single factor index and the potential ecological risk of paddy soil is evaluated with the potential ecological risk index of Hakanson. The results show that the mean content of Cd,Pb,and As in paddy soil samples is 0. 941,26. 46 and 10. 16 mg / kg,respectively. The Cd content of 54. 0% soil samples and the As content of 2. 0% soil samples are higher than the standard II National Soil Environment Quality,and Cd in paddy soil has high potential ecological risk. Heavy metal pollution in paddy soil in West Guangxi is mainly Cd pollution.

文摘To provide reference for selenium resource exploitation of soil,many selenium-tolerant strains were isolated from selenium-rich soil in Guangxi. The dilution spread plate method and selenium-added culture method were used to screen the selenium-tolerant strains from the soils which were sampled from the main Selenium-rich areas such as Yongfu,Bama,Yulin Hanshan,Guiping and Tengxian. The results showed that 8 strains with high selenium tolerance were obtained,which could tolerate the selenium concentration above 10 000 μg/m L in solid medium. Among the 8 strains,YLB1-33 showed the highest selenium tolerance,and it could still grow weakly in the solid medium with selenium concentration of 29 000 μg/m L. The sequencing of 16 S rD NA and phylogenetic analysis showed that YLB1-6 was identified as Bacillus cereus,BMB2-1 and TXB1-8 were identified as Bacillus pumilus,GPB2-5 was identified as Bacillus thuringiensis,YLB1-26 and YLB1-33 were identified as Bacillus licheniformis,and YLB1-2 and YFB1-8 were identified as Serratia marcescens. The finding of selenium-tolerance strains had potential application value on promoting the utilization of selenium soil resources and the development of selenium-rich agricultural products in Guangxi.

文摘Guangxi is the largest sugar producing area in China and shoulders heavy responsibilities for the development of China’s sugar industry.In recent years,China’s sugar industry has been greatly impacted by the foreign low-cost sugar industry,and the planting area of sugarcane has been declining.The development foundation of the sugar industry is the sugarcane seed industry.Under the impact of foreign low-price sugar,China’s sugarcane industry is under greater pressure for development,and the sugarcane seed industry shoulders more arduous responsibilities.In order to cope with international competition,the development of Guangxi’s sugarcane industry urgently needs to establish a development model oriented towards improved varieties,scale and mechanization of sugarcane,so as to promote the high-quality development of Guangxi’s sugarcane industry and effectively respond to the pressure of competition in the international sugarcane industry.

文摘Fruit color is an important trait inf luencing the commercial value of eggplant fruits.Three dominant genes(D,P and Y)cooperatively control the anthocyanin coloration in eggplant fruits,but none has been mapped.In this study,two white-fruit accessions(19141 and 19147)and their F2 progeny,with 9:7 segregation ratio of anthocyanin pigmented versus non-pigmented fruits,were used for mapping the D and P genes.A high-density genetic map was constructed with 5270 SNPs spanning 1997.98 cM.Three QTLs were identified,including two genes on chromosome 8 and one on chromosome 10.Gene expression analyses suggested that the SmANS on chromosome 8 and SmMYB1 on chromosome 10 were the putative candidate genes for P and D,respectively.We further identified(1)a SNP leading to a premature stop codon within the conserved PLN03176 domain of SmANS in 19141,(2)a G base InDel in the promoter region leading to an additional cis-regulatory element and(3)a 6-bp InDel within the R2-MYB DNA binding domain of SmMYB1,in 19147.Subsequently,these three variations were validated by PARMS technology as related to phenotypes in the F2 population.Moreover,silencing of SmANS or SmMYB1 in the purple red fruits of F1(E3316)led to inhibition of anthocyanin biosynthesis in the peels.Conversely,overexpression of SmANS or SmMYB1 restored anthocyanin biosynthesis in the calli of 19141 and 19147 respectively.Our findings demonstrated the epistatic interactions underlying the white color of eggplant fruits,which can be potentially applied to breeding of eggplant fruit peel color.

文摘Among the numerous fruit species of Baccaurea ramiflora Lour.,‘LR’(white flesh)and‘BR’(pink flesh)are two kinds of local strains with high edibility.In order to study the metabolic causes of taste differences,we performed the non-targeted metabonomics analysis of‘LR’and‘BR’using LC-MS/MS.541 metabolites were totally identified,and 45 kinds of metabolites(carbohydrates,fatty acids,flavonoids and terpenoids,etc.)were different between the two strains.The results indicate L-sorbose,D-(+)-glucose,citric acid,L-phenylalanine and oleamide,α-eleostearic acid were the main primary metabolites.The significant difference existed in pathways of unsaturated fatty acids between the studied two strains by pathway enrichment analysis.The results demonstrate that the different in composition,as well as the abundance of primary and secondary metabolites may be the potential causes of taste differences,which provides a new insight into the possible metabolic factors setting off the changing taste of B.ramiflora.

文摘Based on the investigation of 56 soil samples( 0-30 cm) in citrus orchards of Guangxi,the content of soil organic matter and available nutrients as well as their correlations in the citrus orchards were studied. The results showed that soil was rich in organic matter,and the proportion of soil samples deficient in available N,P and K was 30. 36%,32. 14% and 28. 57% respectively. Soil was seriously deficient in soil available Ca,Mg and B,while the content of soil available Fe and Cu in soil was too high. There were significant or extremely significant positive or negative correlations between soil pH,organic matter and several available nutrients. It is recommended to apply Mg fertilizer,B fertilizer,lime or other alkaline fertilizer and reduce the spraying of fungicides containing Cu in the citrus orchards.

文摘According to the quarantine procedures for sugarcane introduction,thirty-three sugarcane varieties / materials from the United States,Bangladesh,Thailand and some other countries were quarantined. The result showed that main diseases and pests that are concerned in quarantine were undiscovered. In addition,molecular detection results of Fiji disease and leaf scald disease were negative; detection results of mosaic in six varieties / materials were positive; detection results of yellow leaf syndrome in eight varieties / materials were positive.
