Chlorophyll,anthocyanin,and net photosynthetic rate(Pn),stomatal conductance(Cond),transpiration rate(Tr),and intercellular CO2concentration(Ci) in 8 varieties of Rehmannia glutinosa were measured by spectrophotometer and LI-6400 XT Portable Photosynthesis System. The results showed that the chlorophyll content of Huaidijin 8(2. 84 mg/g),Huaidi 81(2. 71 mg/g),Huaidi 85-5(2. 69 mg/g),Jinjiu(2. 66 mg/g) and Huaidi 83(2. 63 mg/g) was higher; the anthocyanin content of Jinjiu(0. 169) and Huaidijin 8(0. 165) was higher,while the anthocyanin content Huaidi 83(0. 060) was the lowest; Pn of Huaidi81[2. 41 μmol/(m2·s) ],Huaidi 83[2. 37 μmol/(m2·s) ]and Huaidijin 8[2. 25 μmol/(m2·s) ]was higher,and the anthocyanin content was positively correlated with Pn,while the anthocyanin content was negatively correlated with Pn; Huaidijin 8 and Huaidi 83 showed dominant advantages in single plant fresh weight,indicator component,and resistance over the main cultivars. This indicates that the new variety Huaidijin 8 and Huaidi 83 have excellent comprehensive traits and can be properly popularized.展开更多
Several definitions of post percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)thrombocytopenia(TC)were formulated.Recent studies demonstrated that a relative drop in platelet count≥25%is the most appropriate criterion.By this d...Several definitions of post percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)thrombocytopenia(TC)were formulated.Recent studies demonstrated that a relative drop in platelet count≥25%is the most appropriate criterion.By this definition a population is detected that is exposed not only to increased risk of hemorrhagic complications but also to increased risk of ischemic events,which may appear a paradox.In patients with acute coronary syndromes undergoing PCI,several conditions might be associated with TC:cardiopulmonary bypass and the presence of extra corporeal membrane oxygenators,intra aortic balloon pump(IABP),cardiogenic shock,thrombolytic drugs and anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.Several studies demonstrated that TC and ischemic outcomes are related although it is unclear whether this is a direct relationship or TC is just a secondary effect of another cryptic protagonist.It is suggested that further investigations determine whether there is a real link between TC,a probably welldefined covariate,and ischemic outcomes or whether IABP is the joining link between these two variables and whose presence needs in any case be considered in multivariable statistics.Post-PCI TC could be only a secondary effect of IABP use.On turn,the prolonged use of heparin necessarily accompanying the use of IABP,and producing a paradoxical pro-thrombotic TC,might also be implicated.展开更多

It was shown that platelet incubation with 20 - 75 <em>...We studied morphofunctional properties of human platelets, treated with low doses of hydrogen peroxide (H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub>). It was shown that platelet incubation with 20 - 75 <em>μ</em>M H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub> during 24 hours at 20<span style="white-space:nowrap;">°</span>C - 22<span style="white-space:nowrap;">°</span>C did not cause visible structural deficiencies in cells. Platelets maintained their adhesion activity and velocity of degranulation at 20 <em>μ</em>M H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub>. 30 - 60 μM H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub> dose-dependently reduced lamella’s growth and allowed retaining granule bulk inside cytoplasm of spreading platelets. After 1 - 2 hours, the most effect of platelet granules’ stabilization was registered at samples, previously incubated with 60 μM H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub>. Adrenalin activation led to rapid degranulation of stabilized platelets, whereas lamella’s growth in activated platelets was low or medium.展开更多

This mutation induces the synthesis of abnormal hemoglobin (Hb) HbS, Mainly responsible for all clinical manifestations vaso-occlusives and chronic hemolysis with variable anemia. The objective of this study is the determination profile of haematological parameters of sickle cell children of the province of Kenitra (Morocco). In order to know the usual values and the particularities which are its own, we have observed that 50% of sickle cell children in our case study have severe anemia and 84% in patients aged 5 to 11 years. In addition, there is no significant difference among gender. The cases of hemoglobinosis S are divided into: Homozygous hemoglobinosis S (43%), Heterozygous sickle cell disease (17%), Hemoglobinosis S associated with alpha-thalassemia (1%), Hemoglobinosis S composite heterozygosity S/beta-thalassemia (5%), S/PHHF composite heterozygosity (6%), eventually composite heterozygosity S/beta+ thalassemia (28%). Homozygous sickle cell children have a long hospital stay, the highest number of hospitalizations and very severe sickle cell syndromes compared to the other phenotypic status of our population.展开更多

In order to asse...The purpose of this study was to assess the suppressive effect of Waste Vegetable Biomasses (WVBs) treated by the Steam Explosion technique in a continuous plant, against soil-borne plant pathogens. In order to assess their disease suppression, five WVBs (Miscanthus biomass, durum wheat straw, rice straw, corn stalk and wood shaving) and commercial compost were tested in vivo at three different doses (10, 20 and 30% of potting mix) on seven horticultural pathosystems plant/fungus: tomato/Phytophthora nicotianae, cucumber/Pythium ultimum, lettuce/Fusariurn oxysporum f. sp. lactucae, melordFusariurn oxysporum f. sp. melonis, bearffRhizoctonia solani, eggplant/Verticillium dahlie and fennel/Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. The results showed that the corn stalk was more efficient respect to Miscanthus, compost, wheat straw, rice straw and wood shaving in all the patbosystems and at all the doses tested. The corn stalk suppression ranged from 97% in eggplant/F, dahliae to 35% in lettuce/F, oxysporum f. sp. lactucae, and it was significantly higher with respect to the other substrates. In general, the wheat straw, rice straw and wood shaving were statistically found less efficient as suppressive substrate with respect to corn stalk, Miscanthus and compost at the 30% dose in four pathosystems In particular, the wood shaving suppressiveness ranged from 48% in eggplant/V, dahliae to 12% in lettuce/F, oxysporum f. sp. lactucae. The different suppressiveness observed could be attributed to different concentration of the microbial inhibitory substances (furfurals, organic acids and lignosulfonates) produced during the processing of fresh biomass.展开更多
Argania spinosa L. (Sapotaceae family), endemic to Morocco, is a multipurpose tree with an important ecological and socio-economical interest. Nevertheless, the sustainability of the agro-forestry system is now thre...Argania spinosa L. (Sapotaceae family), endemic to Morocco, is a multipurpose tree with an important ecological and socio-economical interest. Nevertheless, the sustainability of the agro-forestry system is now threatened by overgrazing and over-exploitation leading to an alarming decline in the number of trees. In the present study, inter-simple sequence repeats (ISSR) markers were used to evaluate the genetic variation and to assess the genetic diversity distribution within and among 17 argan populations growing naturally under semi-arid and arid climate. Thus, a total of seven primers generated 260 well-defined bands, with an average of 37.14 bands per primer. Studied populations showed a relatively high level of genetic diversity at species level and low level of genetic diversity at population level. The percentage of polymorphic bands, Nei's gene diversity and Shannon's information index at population and species level were 30.15%, 0.164, 0.217 and 98.8%, 0.172, 0.293, respectively. A relative low level of genetic differentiation (Gst = 0.39) was in agreement with the results obtained from the analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA). Estimated gene flow was Nm = 0.781 among populations. Mantel test revealed a non-significant correlation between genetic and geographic distance (r = 0.065, P 〈 0.05), suggesting that the geographic distribution is not the major factor that shaped the present population genetic structure. The results can help preserve A. spinosa L. tree as an endangered species, however, refining these finding using co-dominant markers is recommended in order to establish conservation strategies.展开更多
