Objective:To explore the influence of artificial luminous environment and preventive function of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) intervention based on "Theory of yin-yang clock" on myopia.Methods:A total o...Objective:To explore the influence of artificial luminous environment and preventive function of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) intervention based on "Theory of yin-yang clock" on myopia.Methods:A total of 45 New Zealand young rabbits were randomly divided into 5groups,9 for each group.Control group was exposed in natural light.Fluorescent group and full spectrum group were exposed in fluorescent light and full spectrum light,on which basis fluorescent TCM group and full spectrum TCM group were added with "Rizhong Yinyang Formulas",respectively.Optical parameters were measured and the influence of different lights on the serum and retinal dopamine(DA) levels as well as the retinal histopathological tissues was observed.Results:The spectrum of fluorescent light mainly focused at 420-490 nm with the peak value of wavelength near 450 nm,whereas that of full spectrum was wider(400-800 nm) with the peak value near 600 nm.After 4 and 12 weeks,fluorescent group was evidently lower in serum and retinal DA levels(P<0.01).and there was no significant difference among full spectrum group,fluorescent TCM group and full spectrum TCM group(P>0.05).Histopathological observation showed that there was significant difference in pigment epithelium layer,photoreceptor and nerve fiber layer between fluorescent group and control group,but the difference among the test groups was not significant.Conclusions:Fluorescent light has certain influence on retinal histological construction and visual performance.However,TCM intervention may have some degree of protective function on retina.展开更多

Methods: Eighty-eight patients with blood stasis syndrome (BSS) of acute cerebral infarction (ACI) were randomly divided into two groups, both of which were treated with conventional treatment, i.e. with western medicine (WM), with Salvia injection added through intravenously dripping.One of the two groups was used as the control and the other group as the treated group who had ABCBS herbs orally taken in addition. The duration of treatment course for both groups was 3 weeks. Results: There were changes in both groups over clinical symptoms, nerve function deficit scoring and GMP-140, D-dimer, but the treated group showed significantly better than that of the control group, ( P <0.05). Conclusion: ABCBS principle could serve as an important auxiliary treating method for BSS of ACI, as it can effectively alter the blood of ACI patients which was viscous, condense, coagulant and aggregating.展开更多

TCM treatment can not only inhibit viral replication, ameliorate inflammation and promote blood circulation in the liver, and enhance regeneration of the hepatic cells, but also inhibit HSC proliferation, intra- and extracellular secretion, decrease the secretion of collagen and promote its degradation and re-absorption. However, most of the animal models are only suitable for studies of acute hepatitis. Establishment of cell lines suitable for studies of fibrosis is still at its initial stage. What we expect is that comprehensive clinical studies in TCM treatment of liver fibrosis will be carried out and evaluation of each datum given, both of which are of importance.展开更多

Results:Under the two kinds of culture conditions, the content of NO and NOS in the groups with drug-containing serum were higher than those without drug-containing serum (P<0. 05, P<0. 01), and the expression of iNOS mRNA was up-regulated too. Methods: A total of 39 cases of simple obesity complicated with premenstrual tension were treated by combination of body acupuncture and otoacupuncture based on syndrome-differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Symptoms, physical signs, obesity indexes and cumulative scores of clinical disease-syndrome before and after treatment were analyzed and compared. Results: After one, two and three courses of treatment, the effective rates were 69.23%, 79.49% and 87.18% respectively. Conclusion: Acupuncture therapy works well in the treatment of simple obesity with concurrent premenstrual tension syndrome.展开更多

Methods: By means of syndrome-differentiation, 45 female simple obese (SO) patients with PTS (SO+ PTS group and 35 simple obesity patients (SO group) were treated with body acupuncture combined with ear acupuncture. Thirtythree normal women subjects were assigned to control group. Changes in symptoms, signs, obesity index, clinical indices of disease and syndrome, equilibrium index of the vegetative nervous system (Y value), blood estradiol (E2), progesterone (P), aldosterone (Aid) and lipid levels were detected and compared before and after the treatment. Results: Before acupuncture treatmerit, the obesity index, clinical indices of disease and syndrome, Y value, E2/P ratio and Aid in these patients were obviously increased, and E2 and P levels decreased. After the treatment, the body weight of the patients was reduced, and the increased obesity index, clinical indices of diseases and syndromes, Y value, E2/P ratio and Aid were markedly lowered (P〈0.05, or P 〈 0.01), and the decreased E2 and P levels elevated significantly (P〈 0.01). Conclusion: Acupuncture exerts favorable regulative function on clinical indices of disease and syndrome, Y value, E2, P, Aid, lipid and E2/P in obese patients with PTS, which may be related to its resultant improvement of the functions of the hypothalamo-pituitary-gonedal axis, hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenal axis and the vegetative nervous system.展开更多

However, the luminescence generated from Cerenkov effect is relatively weak and has poor penetration ability in biological tissues.These limitations consequently hindered the clinical translation of CLI. In this study, we proposed an in vitro experimental study for the demonstration of quantum dots(QDs) configurations affected by the improvement of the signal intensity of CLI. Results revealed that the optimal concentrations were 0.1 mg/mL and 0.25 mg/mL for the studied CdSe/ZnS QDs with fluorescence emission peaks of 580 nm and 660 nm, respectively. The detected optical signal intensity with long-wavelength emission QDs were stronger than those with short-wavelength emission QDs.This study illustrates an experiment to study the effects of concentrations and fluorescence emission peaks of QDs on an enhanced optical signal for the external detection of CLI.展开更多

Background:Recent studies highlight pseudogene derived long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)as key regulators of cancer biology.However,few of them have been well characterized in pancreatic cancer.Here,we aimed to identify t...Background:Recent studies highlight pseudogene derived long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)as key regulators of cancer biology.However,few of them have been well characterized in pancreatic cancer.Here,we aimed to identify the association between pseudogene derived lncRNA DUXAP8 and growth of pancreatic cancer cells.Methods:We screened for pseudogene derived lncRNAs associated with human pancreatic cancer by compara-tive analysis of three independent datasets from GEO.Quantitative real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction was used to assess the relative expression of DUXAP8 in pancreatic cancer tissues and cells.Loss-of-function approaches were used to investigate the potential functional roles of DUXAP8 in pancreatic cancer cell proliferation and apoptosis in vitro and in vivo.RNA immunoprecipitation,chromosome immunoprecipitation assay and rescue experiments were performed to analyze the association of DUXAP8 with target proteins and genes in pancreatic cancer cells.Results:Pancreatic cancer tissues had significantly higher DUXAP8 levels than paired adjacent normal tissues.High DUXAP8 expression was associated with a larger tumor size,advanced pathological stage and shorter overall survival of pancreatic cancer patients.Moreover,silencing DUXAP8 expression by siRNA or shRNA inhibited pancreatic cancer cell proliferation and promoted apoptosis in vitro and in vivo.Mechanistic analyses indicated that DUXAP8 regulates PC cell proliferation partly through downregulation of tumor suppressor CDKN1A and KLF2 expression.Conclusion:Our results suggest that tumor expression of pseudogene derived lncRNA DUXAP8 plays an important role in pancreatic cancer progression.DUXAP8 may serve as a candidate biomarker and represent a novel therapeutic target of pancreatic cancer.展开更多

Methods: Sixty patients with CHD-UAP were ass...Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Xin'anning Nasal Drop (XAND,心安宁滴鼻剂) in treating coronary heart disease with unstable angina pectoris (CHD-UAP). Methods: Sixty patients with CHD-UAP were assigned, according to the randomizing number table, to two groups, the control group treated with conventional Western medicine, and the treated group treated with conventional Western medicine plus XAND. The clinical efficacy and the changes of S-T segment in resting EKG and total ischemia burden (TIB) in 24-h dynamic EKG were observed. Results: The clinical efficacy, including the effect of angina alleviation, its initiation, and the effect of TOM syndrome score reduction, were significantly superior in the treated group to those in the control group ( P〈0.05 or P〈0.01 ). The degree and extent of myocardial ischemia were significantly improved in both groups ( P〈0.01 ), but the improvement in the treated group was better than that in the control group ( P〈0.05). Moreover, it was worth mentioning that the immediate effect in the treated group was better than that in the control group, and the reduction of TIB, the improvement in heart rate and myocardial oxygen consumption ( immediately after the first administration or by the end of the therapeutic course), and systolic blood pressure after treatment in the former were all superior to those in the latter, showing significant difference ( P〈0.05 or P〈0.01 ). Conclusion: XAND has a quick effect in alleviating angina in patients with CHD-UAP, and it is worthy of further studies and spreading in clinical practice.展开更多

Methods: Central nerve push-pull perfusion and biochemical technique were used to observe the effect of acupuncture on the obese parameters, changes of monoamine transmitters and activity of ATPase in the lateral hypothalamic area (LHA) of obese rats. Results: Noradrenaline (NA) level in LHA of obese rats was higher but serotonin (5-HT) level and ATPase activity were lower than those in normal rats. After acupuncture treatment, in the same time of reducing body weight, NA level in LHA of rats was reduced, and 5-HT level and ATPase activity in it were increased.(P<0.05 and P<0.01). Conclusion:The effective regulation on LHA of obese rats is possibly one of the key factors in anti-obesity effect of acupuncture.展开更多

Effect of YYR with different concentrations and different acting time on keratinocyte proliferation was observed by MTT meth od.Results: YYR in different concentrations showed significant inhib itory effect on keratinocyte CoLo-16 line in concentration-dependent and a cting-time-dependent manner.Conclusion: Inhibition on over proliferation of epithelial cells may be one of the mechanisms of YYR in curing psoriasis.展开更多

文摘The distorted wave is introduced into the relativistic impulse approximation to generate the Dirac optical potentials for proton elastic scattering. Those potentials, produced by folding the target ground state wavefunction with the free nucleon-nucleon interactions, are used to reevaluate scattering observables, such as differential cross section, analysing power and spin rotation function, for proton elastic scattering from ^12C and ^16O at Elab = 200 MeV, respectively. The inclusion of the distorted wave in the original relativistic impulse approximation has brought out better results of the observables, especially at small scattering angles.

文摘Objective:To explore the effect of the Nephritis No. 3 (N-3) recipe on nitric oxide (NO), nitric oxide synthase (NOS) secreted by cultured mesangial cells (MC) and its gene expression of the in-ducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS). Methods:The drug (nephritis No. 3)-containing serum was prepared with serum pharmacological technique, and then was applied to react on mesangial cells cultured in fetal calf serum (FCS) and cells cultured in FCS plus lipopolysaccharide. To observe the secretion of NO and NOS and the gene expression of iNOS by means of RT-PCR. Results:Under the two kinds of culture conditions, the content of NO and NOS in the groups with drug-containing serum were higher than those without drug-containing serum (P<0. 05, P<0. 01), and the expression of iNOS mRNA was up-regulated too. Conclusion: The N-3 could significantly promote the secretion of NO and NOS and the mRNA expression of iNOS in rats.
文摘Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of acupuncture therapy in the treatment of simple obesity complicated with premenstrual tension syndrome. Methods: A total of 39 cases of simple obesity complicated with premenstrual tension were treated by combination of body acupuncture and otoacupuncture based on syndrome-differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Symptoms, physical signs, obesity indexes and cumulative scores of clinical disease-syndrome before and after treatment were analyzed and compared. Results: After one, two and three courses of treatment, the effective rates were 69.23%, 79.49% and 87.18% respectively. Conclusion: Acupuncture therapy works well in the treatment of simple obesity with concurrent premenstrual tension syndrome.
文摘Objective: To explore mechanisms of acupuncture for the treatment of obesity complicated with prernenstrual tension syndrome (PTS). Methods: By means of syndrome-differentiation, 45 female simple obese (SO) patients with PTS (SO+ PTS group and 35 simple obesity patients (SO group) were treated with body acupuncture combined with ear acupuncture. Thirtythree normal women subjects were assigned to control group. Changes in symptoms, signs, obesity index, clinical indices of disease and syndrome, equilibrium index of the vegetative nervous system (Y value), blood estradiol (E2), progesterone (P), aldosterone (Aid) and lipid levels were detected and compared before and after the treatment. Results: Before acupuncture treatmerit, the obesity index, clinical indices of disease and syndrome, Y value, E2/P ratio and Aid in these patients were obviously increased, and E2 and P levels decreased. After the treatment, the body weight of the patients was reduced, and the increased obesity index, clinical indices of diseases and syndromes, Y value, E2/P ratio and Aid were markedly lowered (P〈0.05, or P 〈 0.01), and the decreased E2 and P levels elevated significantly (P〈 0.01). Conclusion: Acupuncture exerts favorable regulative function on clinical indices of disease and syndrome, Y value, E2, P, Aid, lipid and E2/P in obese patients with PTS, which may be related to its resultant improvement of the functions of the hypothalamo-pituitary-gonedal axis, hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenal axis and the vegetative nervous system.
文摘Eighty-seven cases of intermediate and late rheumatoid arthritis were treated with Instant Shu GuanWen Jing Granules(疏关温经冲剂 Relaxing Joints by Warming Channels)and Instant Shu GuanQing Luo Granules(疏光清络冲剂 Relaxing Joints by Removing Heat from the Lung Channel)totonify the kidney resolve phlegm and remove blood stasis,and compared with 41 cases treated withInstant Wang Bi Granules(尪痹冲剂 Prescription for Arthralgia-syndrome).The treatment produceda clinical cure rate of 54.0% and a total effective rate of 90.8% as in against 29.3% and 73.2%respectively in the control group.The difference was significant(P<0.01).Improvement in mainsymptoms and laboratory findings in the treatment group was all more marked than that in thecontrol group (P<0.05 or P<0.01),with no side effects observed.

文摘Cerenkov luminescence imaging(CLI) has been widely investigated for biological imaging. However, the luminescence generated from Cerenkov effect is relatively weak and has poor penetration ability in biological tissues.These limitations consequently hindered the clinical translation of CLI. In this study, we proposed an in vitro experimental study for the demonstration of quantum dots(QDs) configurations affected by the improvement of the signal intensity of CLI. Results revealed that the optimal concentrations were 0.1 mg/mL and 0.25 mg/mL for the studied CdSe/ZnS QDs with fluorescence emission peaks of 580 nm and 660 nm, respectively. The detected optical signal intensity with long-wavelength emission QDs were stronger than those with short-wavelength emission QDs.This study illustrates an experiment to study the effects of concentrations and fluorescence emission peaks of QDs on an enhanced optical signal for the external detection of CLI.

文摘Background:Recent studies highlight pseudogene derived long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)as key regulators of cancer biology.However,few of them have been well characterized in pancreatic cancer.Here,we aimed to identify the association between pseudogene derived lncRNA DUXAP8 and growth of pancreatic cancer cells.Methods:We screened for pseudogene derived lncRNAs associated with human pancreatic cancer by compara-tive analysis of three independent datasets from GEO.Quantitative real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction was used to assess the relative expression of DUXAP8 in pancreatic cancer tissues and cells.Loss-of-function approaches were used to investigate the potential functional roles of DUXAP8 in pancreatic cancer cell proliferation and apoptosis in vitro and in vivo.RNA immunoprecipitation,chromosome immunoprecipitation assay and rescue experiments were performed to analyze the association of DUXAP8 with target proteins and genes in pancreatic cancer cells.Results:Pancreatic cancer tissues had significantly higher DUXAP8 levels than paired adjacent normal tissues.High DUXAP8 expression was associated with a larger tumor size,advanced pathological stage and shorter overall survival of pancreatic cancer patients.Moreover,silencing DUXAP8 expression by siRNA or shRNA inhibited pancreatic cancer cell proliferation and promoted apoptosis in vitro and in vivo.Mechanistic analyses indicated that DUXAP8 regulates PC cell proliferation partly through downregulation of tumor suppressor CDKN1A and KLF2 expression.Conclusion:Our results suggest that tumor expression of pseudogene derived lncRNA DUXAP8 plays an important role in pancreatic cancer progression.DUXAP8 may serve as a candidate biomarker and represent a novel therapeutic target of pancreatic cancer.
文摘Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Xin'anning Nasal Drop (XAND,心安宁滴鼻剂) in treating coronary heart disease with unstable angina pectoris (CHD-UAP). Methods: Sixty patients with CHD-UAP were assigned, according to the randomizing number table, to two groups, the control group treated with conventional Western medicine, and the treated group treated with conventional Western medicine plus XAND. The clinical efficacy and the changes of S-T segment in resting EKG and total ischemia burden (TIB) in 24-h dynamic EKG were observed. Results: The clinical efficacy, including the effect of angina alleviation, its initiation, and the effect of TOM syndrome score reduction, were significantly superior in the treated group to those in the control group ( P〈0.05 or P〈0.01 ). The degree and extent of myocardial ischemia were significantly improved in both groups ( P〈0.01 ), but the improvement in the treated group was better than that in the control group ( P〈0.05). Moreover, it was worth mentioning that the immediate effect in the treated group was better than that in the control group, and the reduction of TIB, the improvement in heart rate and myocardial oxygen consumption ( immediately after the first administration or by the end of the therapeutic course), and systolic blood pressure after treatment in the former were all superior to those in the latter, showing significant difference ( P〈0.05 or P〈0.01 ). Conclusion: XAND has a quick effect in alleviating angina in patients with CHD-UAP, and it is worthy of further studies and spreading in clinical practice.
文摘Objective: To study the mechanism of acupuncture in treating simple obesity. Methods: Central nerve push-pull perfusion and biochemical technique were used to observe the effect of acupuncture on the obese parameters, changes of monoamine transmitters and activity of ATPase in the lateral hypothalamic area (LHA) of obese rats. Results: Noradrenaline (NA) level in LHA of obese rats was higher but serotonin (5-HT) level and ATPase activity were lower than those in normal rats. After acupuncture treatment, in the same time of reducing body weight, NA level in LHA of rats was reduced, and 5-HT level and ATPase activity in it were increased.(P<0.05 and P<0.01). Conclusion:The effective regulation on LHA of obese rats is possibly one of the key factors in anti-obesity effect of acupuncture.
文摘Objective: To study the effect of Yuyin recipe (愈银方, YYR), a Ch inese composite recipe, on cultured human epithelial cell proliferation in vitro .Methods: YYR in different concentrations was added separately in to the keratinocyte CoLo-16 line, after the latter had been cultured 24 hrs, to be co-cultured for different periods of time (24-72 hrs). A blank contro l group was set up in the meantime. Effect of YYR with different concentrations and different acting time on keratinocyte proliferation was observed by MTT meth od.Results: YYR in different concentrations showed significant inhib itory effect on keratinocyte CoLo-16 line in concentration-dependent and a cting-time-dependent manner.Conclusion: Inhibition on over proliferation of epithelial cells may be one of the mechanisms of YYR in curing psoriasis.
