The aim behind this research was to determine whether the use of this mixture would enhance the efficiency of pesticides while decreasing the recommended dose. Naturally infected tomato plants, grown in the greenhouse, were treated with two commonly used fungicides SWITCH (Syngenta, Switzerland) and SIGNUM (BASF, Germany) each alone or combined with a commercially available organic sanitizer PERACLEAN?5 (Evonik Industries, Germany). A total of 27 treatments were tested consisting of three concentrations of synthetic fungicide (×1, ×1/2 and ×1/4 of the recommended dose) either applied separately or combined with three concentrations of the tested sanitizer (0.5, 1 and 1.5%). The control efficacy achieved by the fungicides applied alone ranged between 0 and 66.7% while all fungicide-sanitizer mixtures resulted in up to 70% control of grey mould. The treatment that provides the maximum control of B. cinerea was the result mixture of ×1/4 of the recommended concentration of SWITCH (15 g L-1) with 0.5% of PERACLEAN?5. This combination suppressed 85% of grey mold infections while decreasing the usually used amount of this pesticide by 75%, reducing therefore the well known negative impacts of chemical pesticides on environment and consumers health.展开更多

However, the main weakness of OFDM is the high Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR). In this paper, we present two new approaches based on Wavelet Networks (WNs) for reducing the PAPR in the fixed WiMAX system. The training data is obtained from the ACE-AGP algorithm. The results of the simulations show the effec- tiveness of the proposed schemes even for high order modulation such as 64-QAM. Furthermore, the proposals allow reduction in the complexity and convergence time in comparison with other methods. 2016 Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications. The system is formed with NL layers having spins that can take the values σ= ± 1/2 and S =±1,0. The blocking temperature is deduced, for each spin configuration, depending on the crystal field A. The effect of the exchange interaction coupling Jp between the spin configurations σ and S is studied for different values of temperature at fixed crystal field. The established ground-state phase diagram, in the plane (Jp, △), shows that the only stable configurations are: (1/2,0), (1/2, +1), and (1/2,- 1). The thermal magnetization and susceptibility are investigated for the two spin configurations, in the absence as well as in the presence of a crystal field. Finally, we establish the hysteresis cycle for different temperature values, showing that there is almost no remaining magnetization in the absence of the external magnetic field, and that the studied system exhibits a super-paramagnetic behavior.展开更多

In fact, water resources system-planning can be used to make various decisions and implement manage- ment of water resources policies. The purpose of this study is to identify groundwater sto- rage areas in the high Guir Basin by implementing Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing methods. The required data for this study can be summarized into five critical factors: Topography (slope), lithology, rainfall, rock fracture and drainage. These critical factors have been converted by the GIS into thematic maps. For each cri- tical parameter, a coefficient with weight was attributed according to its importance. The map of potential groundwater storage areas is obtained by adding the products (coeffi- cient × weight) of the five parameters. The results show that 50% to 64% of the total area of the High Guir Basin is potentially rich in groundwater, where most of fracture systems are intensely developed. The obtained results are validated with specific yield of the aqui- fer in the study area. It is noted that there is a strong positive correlation between excel- lent groundwater potential zones with high flows of water points and it diminishes with low specific yield with poor potential zones.展开更多

A variety of sources, physical and chemical mechanisms of formation, causes a wide variety of sizes and morphologies of dust. The diameter of a dust will not be unique but spread over several orders of magnitude. Its distribution in number, surface, mass or volume is called distribution. It is important to know this distribution in particle size because it strongly impacts the physical and radiative processes. To have a dust distribution in situ is very difficult;the reverse method can identify the particle populations from light extinction measures. In this study, we present an inversion procedure with a Tikhonov regularization dedicated to the determination of volume size distribution (V-PSD) from extinction measurements corresponding to the different wavelengths obtained by the Extinction Spectrometry technique.展开更多

文摘Desupersaturation is a complex cooling operation that involves hydrodynamic, thermal and mechanical phenomena. This process requires continuous agitation to avoid fouling problems and sludge deposition. The current work aims to investigate the well mixedness in the desupersaturation tank for optimal performance. For this purpose,a multi-fluid CFD study was conducted based on the Euler–Euler modeling approach, considering a multiphase flow involving a liquid phase(phosphoric acid)and a poly-dispersed solid phase,i.e.a sludge with three different sizes where each size is considered as a separate phase.First, the hydrodynamic behavior of the flow within the agitated desupersaturator is analyzed through the investigation of the velocity fields as well as the power and pumping numbers,to determine both the agitator capacity to pump the flow and its power consumption during the operation. Then,in order to assess the mixture homogeneity,we evaluated the solid suspension in the desupersaturation reactor following conventional methods and two new proposed methodologies:the first approach is to evaluate the suspension quality in the mixing system by compartment and the second consists on the assessment of the uniform convergence of the solid concentration.Furthermore,we calculated the time required to achieve a full suspension at different solid concentrations. On other hand,we conducted a detailed analysis of the solid distribution dependency on the impeller rotational speed at different solid volume fraction, which allows a good understanding of the parameters controlling the homogenization in the desupersaturator.

This combination suppressed 85% of grey mold infections while decreasing the usually used amount of this pesticide by 75%, reducing therefore the well known negative impacts of chemical pesticides on environment and consumers health.
文摘The IEEE 802.16d standard specified Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) modulation for the Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) physical layer. 文摘In this work, we use Monte Carlo simulations to study the magnetic properties of a nanowire system based on a honeycomb lattice, in the absence as well as in the presence of both an external magnetic field and crystal field. Finally, we establish the hysteresis cycle for different temperature values, showing that there is almost no remaining magnetization in the absence of the external magnetic field, and that the studied system exhibits a super-paramagnetic behavior.
文摘In this work, the magnetic properties of Ising and XY antiferromagnetic thin-films are investigated each as a function of Neel temperature and thickness for layers (n = 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and bulk (∞) by means of a mean-field and high temperature series expansion (HTSE) combined with Pade approximant calculations. The scaling law of magnetic susceptibility and magnetization is used to determine the critical exponent γ, veff (mean), ratio of the critical exponents γ/v, and magnetic properties of Ising and XY antiferromagnetic thin-films for different thickness layers n = 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and bulk (∞).
文摘Unlike most fluids, granular materials include coexisting solid, liquid or gaseous regions, which produce a rich variety of complex flows.Dense flows of grains driven by gravity down inclines occur in nature and in industrialprocesses. To describe the granular flow on an inclined surface, several studies were carried out.We can cite in particular the description of Saint-Venant which considers a dry granular flow, without cohesion and it only takes into account the substance-substrate friction, this model proposes a simplified form of the granular flow, which depends on the one side on the angle of inclination of the substrate with respect to the horizontal plane and on the other side on the thickness of the substance H.The numerical simulation we have developed is first based on the Saint-Venant model,it allowed us to visualize the variation of the speed according to the thickness of the substance(from 0 to H)and to deduce the average speed of the substance on an inclined plane. However, this restrictive model does not take into account the effect of particle friction on the flow and considers that the thickness H is constant. To make our simulation more realistic,we opted for the Savage-Hatter model. We took into account the variation of the thickness on the particles speed,in addition we have studied the effect of the variation of many parameters on the granular flow, namely the temperature and the roughness of the substrate, the density and the compactness of the substance,we found that the speed of the particles increases and the treatment time decreases with an increase in temperature.
文摘Identification of water potential areas in arid regions is a crucial element for the enhancement of their water resources and socio-economic development. It is noted that there is a strong positive correlation between excel- lent groundwater potential zones with high flows of water points and it diminishes with low specific yield with poor potential zones.
文摘In this paper, we present a study of thermal, average power scaling, change in index of refraction and stress in photonic crystal fiber lasers with different pump schemes: forward pump scheme, backward pump scheme, forward pump scheme with reflection of 98%, backward pump scheme with reflection of 98% and bi-directional pump scheme. We show that management of thermal effects in fiber lasers will determine the efficiency and success of scaling-up efforts. In addition, we show that the most suitable scheme is the bi-directional.
文摘One of the difficulties encountered in the study of dusty plasmas is related to the knowledge of the size of the dust particles present. In this study, we present an inversion procedure with a Tikhonov regularization dedicated to the determination of volume size distribution (V-PSD) from extinction measurements corresponding to the different wavelengths obtained by the Extinction Spectrometry technique.
文摘The Monte Carlo simulation is used to investigate the magnetic properties of ferromagnetic superlattices through the Ising model. The reduced critical temperatures of the ferromagnetic superlattices are studied each as a function of layer thickness for different values of exchange interaction. The exchange interaction in each layer within the interface and the crystal field in the unit cell are studied. The magnetic coercive fields and magnetization remnants are obtained for different values of exchange interaction, different values of temperature and crystal field with fixed values of physical parameters.
