However, due to fabrication issues, the frequencies of SAW devices are typically limited to within a few gigahertz, which severely restricts their applications in 5G communication, precision sensing, photonics, and quantum control. To solve this critical problem, we propose a hybrid strategy that integrates a nanomanufacturing process (i.e., nanolithography) with a LiNbO_(3)/SiO_(2)/SiC heterostructure and successfully achieve a record-breaking frequency of about 44 GHz for SAW devices, in addition to large electromechanical coupling coefficients of up to 15.7%. We perform a theoretical analysis and identify the guided higher order wave modes generated on these slow-on-fast SAW platforms. To demonstrate the superior sensing performance of the proposed ultra-high-frequency SAW platforms, we perform micro-mass sensing and obtain an extremely high sensitivity of approximately 33151.9 MHz·mm2·μg−1, which is about 1011 times higher than that of a conventional quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) and about 4000 times higher than that of a conventional SAW device with a frequency of 978 MHz.展开更多

The current study investigated the effects of aroma on induced anxiety in non-clinical adults, comparing pure lavender, a commercially available blend and a no aroma control. An experimental, quantitative, mixed factorial design with an opportunity sample of 60 participants was employed. Participants were randomly allocated to three equal groups, one tested in a room infused with lavender aroma, the second with the doTerra Peace® blend, and the third free from any aroma. Participants’ state anxiety scores were measured before and after a novel video-based anxiety induction procedure. Data analysis revealed that the anxiety induction was successful and that both aromas delivered small to medium-sized buffering effects compared to no aroma. The findings add to a small body of research in an area where the practice is global yet has limited scientific evaluation. Future studies utilising brain imaging and blood serum analysis to investigate the anxiolytic mechanism of aromas would be beneficial to further our understanding.展开更多

文摘The inherent catalytic anisotropy of two-dimensional(2D) materials has limited the enhancement of LiO_(2) batteries(LOBs) performance due to the significantly different adsorption energies on 2D and edge surfaces.Tuning the adsorption strength in 2D materials to the reaction intermediates is essential for achieving high-performance LOBs.Herein,a MnS/MoS_(2) heterostructure is designed as a cathode catalyst by adjusting the adsorption behavior at the surface.Different from the toroidal-like discharge products on the MoS_(2) cathode, the MnS/MoS_(2) surface displays an improved adsorption energy to reaction species, thereby promoting the growth of the film-like discharge products.MnS can disturb the layer growth of MoS_(2),in which the stack edge plane features a strong interaction with the intermediates and limits the growth of the discharge products.Experimental and theoretical results confirm that the MnS/MoS_(2) heterostructure possesses improved electron transfer kinetics at the interface and plays an important role in the adsorption process for reaction species, which finally affects the morphology of Li_2O_(2),In consequence, the MnS/MoS_(2) heterostructure exhibits a high specific capacity of 11696.0 mA h g^(-1) and good cycle stability over 1800 h with a fixed specific capacity of 600 mA h g^(-1) at current density of100 mA g^(-1) This work provides a novel interfacial engineering strategy to enhance the performance of LOBs by tuning the adsorption properties of 2D materials.

文摘MXene,a transition metal carbide/nitride,has been prominent as an ideal electrochemical active material for supercapacitors. However, the low MXene load limits its practical applications. As environmental concerns and sustainable development become more widely recognized,it is necessary to explore a greener and cleaner technology to recycle textile by-products such as cotton. The present study proposes an effective 3D fabrication method that uses MXene to fabricate waste denim felt into ultralight and flexible supercapacitors through needling and carbonization. The 3D structure provided more sites for loading MXene onto Z-directional fiber bundles, resulting in more efficient ion exchange between the electrolyte and electrodes.Furthermore, the carbonization process removed the specific adverse groups in MXenes, further improving the specific capacitance, energy density, power density and electrical conductivity of supercapacitors. The electrodes achieve a maximum specific capacitance of 1748.5 mF cm-2 and demonstrate remarkable cycling stability maintaining more than 94%after 15,000 galvanostatic charge/discharge cycles.Besides, the obtained supercapacitors present a maximum specific capacitance of 577.5 mF cm^(-2),energy density of 80.2μWh cm^(-2)and power density of 3 mW cm^(-2),respectively.The resulting supercapacitors can be used to develop smart wearable power devices such as smartwatches, laying the foundation for a novel strategy of utilizing waste cotton in a high-quality manner.

文摘Surface acoustic wave (SAW) technology has been extensively explored for wireless communication, sensors, microfluidics, photonics, and quantum information processing. To demonstrate the superior sensing performance of the proposed ultra-high-frequency SAW platforms, we perform micro-mass sensing and obtain an extremely high sensitivity of approximately 33151.9 MHz·mm2·μg−1, which is about 1011 times higher than that of a conventional quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) and about 4000 times higher than that of a conventional SAW device with a frequency of 978 MHz.

文摘Cobalt nickel bimetallic oxides(NiCo_(2)O_(4))have received numerous attentions in terms of their controllable morphology, high temperature, corrosion resistance and strong electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorption capability. However, broadening the absorption bandwidth is still a huge challenge for NiCo_(2)O_(4)-based absorbers.Herein, the unique NiCo_(2)O_(4)@C core-shell microcubes with hollow structures were fabricated via a facile sacrificial template strategy. The concentration of oxygen vacancies and morphologies of the three-dimensional(3D)cubic hollow core-shell NiCo_(2)O_(4)@C framework were effectively optimized by adjusting the calcination temperature. The specially designed 3D framework structure facilitated the multiple reflections of incident electromagnetic waves and provided rich interfaces between multiple components, generating significant interfacial polarization losses.Dipole polarizations induced by oxygen vacancies could further enhance the attenuation ability for the incident EM waves. The optimized NiCo_(2)O_(4)@C hollow microcubes exhibit superior EMW absorption capability with minimum RL(RLmin)of-84.45 dB at 8.4 GHz for the thickness of 3.0 mm.Moreover, ultrabroad effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)as large as 12.48 GHz(5.52-18 GHz)is obtained. This work is believed to illuminate the path to synthesis of high-performance cobalt nickel bimetallic oxides for EMW absorbers with excellent EMW absorption capability, especially in broadening effective absorption bandwidth.

文摘While the rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs)have been recognized as one of the most viable batteries for scale-up application, the instability on Zn anode–electrolyte interface bottleneck the further development dramatically.Herein,we utilize the amino acid glycine(Gly)as an electrolyte additive to stabilize the Zn anode–electrolyte interface. The unique interfacial chemistry is facilitated by the synergistic“anchor-capture”effect of polar groups in Gly molecule, manifested by simultaneously coupling the amino to anchor on the surface of Zn anode and the carboxyl to capture Zn^(2+)in the local region. As such, this robust anode–electrolyte interface inhibits the disordered migration of Zn^(2+),and effectively suppresses both side reactions and dendrite growth. The reversibility of Zn anode achieves a significant improvement with an average Coulombic efficiency of 99.22%at 1 mA cm^(−2)and 0.5 mAh cm^(−2)over 500 cycles.Even at a high Zn utilization rate(depth of discharge,DODZn)of 68%,a steady cycle life up to 200 h is obtained for ultrathin Zn foils(20μm).The superior rate capability and long-term cycle stability of Zn–MnO_(2)full cells further prove the effectiveness of Gly in stabilizing Zn anode. This work sheds light on additive designing from the specific roles of polar groups for AZIBs.

文摘A bio-inspired strategy has recently been developed for camouflaging nanocarriers with biomembranes, such as natural cell membranes or subcellular structure-derived membranes. This strategy endows cloaked nanomaterials with improved interfacial properties, superior cell targeting, immune evasion potential, and prolonged duration of systemic circulation. Here,we summarize recent advances in the production and application of exosomal membrane-coated nanomaterials. The structure, properties, and manner in which exosomes communicate with cells are first reviewed. This is followed by a discussion of the types of exosomes and their fabrication methods. We then discuss the applications of biomimetic exosomes and membrane-cloaked nanocarriers in tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, imaging, and the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. Finally,we appraise the current challenges associated with the clinical translation of biomimetic exosomal membrane-surface-engineered nanovehicles and evaluate the future of this technology.

文摘The Estrada index of a graph G on n vertices is defined by EE(G)=∑^(n)_(i=1)^(eλ_(i)),whereλ_(1),λ_(2),···,λ_(n)are the adjacency eigenvalues of G.We define two general types of dynamic graphs evolving according to continuous-time Markov processes with their stationary distributions matching the Erd¨os-R´enyi random graph and the random graph with given expected degrees, respectively. We formulate some new estimates and upper and lower bounds for the Estrada indices of these dynamic graphs.
文摘Essential oils of pure lavender and lavender blends have been employed as potential anxiolytic aromas in aromatherapy, but a direct comparison of their effectiveness is lacking. Future studies utilising brain imaging and blood serum analysis to investigate the anxiolytic mechanism of aromas would be beneficial to further our understanding.

文摘Distributed drive electric vehicles(DDEVs)possess great advantages in the viewpoint of fuel consumption, environment protection and traffic mobility.Whereas the effects of inertial parameter variation in DDEV control system become much more pronounced due to the drastic reduction of vehicle weights and body size, and inertial parameter has seldom been tackled and systematically estimated. This paper presents a dual central difference Kalman filter(DCDKF)where two Kalman filters run in parallel to simultaneously estimate vehicle different dynamic states and inertial parameters, such as vehicle sideslip angle, vehicle mass, vehicle yaw moment of inertia, the distance from the front axle to centre of gravity. The proposed estimation method only integrates and utilizes real-time measurements of hub torque information and other in-vehicle sensors from standard DDEVs.The four-wheel nonlinear vehicle dynamics estimation model considering payload variations,Pacejka tire model, wheel and motor dynamics model is developed, the observability of the DCDKF observer is analysed and derived via Lie derivative and differential geometry theory. To address system nonlinearities in vehicle dynamics estimation, the DCDKF and dual extended Kalman filter(DEKF)are also investigated and compared.Simulation with various maneuvers are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method using Matlab/Simulink-CarsimR.The results show that the proposed DCDKF method can effectively estimate vehicle dynamic states and inertial parameters despite the existence of payload variations and variable driving conditions. This research provides a boot-strapping procedure which can performs optimal estimation to estimate simultaneously vehicle system state and inertial parameter with high accuracy and real-time ability.

文摘Trifunctional Cu-mesh/Cu_(2)O@FeO nanoarrays heterostructure is designed and fabricated by integrating CuCu_(2)O@FeO nanoarrays onto Cu-mesh(CM)via an in situ growth and phase transformation process. It is successfully applied to efficiently mitigate the antibiotic pollution, including degradation of antibiotics, inactivation of antibiotic-resistant bacteria(ARB),and damage of antibiotics resistance genes(ARGs).Under visible-light irradiation,CM/CuCu_(2)O@FeO nanoarrays exhibit a superior degradation efficiency on antibiotics(e.g.,up to 99%in 25 min for tetracycline hydrochloride,TC),due to the generated reactive oxygen species(ROS),especially the dominant·O^(2−).It can fully inactivate E.coli(HB101)with initial number of~108 CFU mL^(−1) in 10 min, which is mainly attributed to the synergistic effects of 1D nanostructure, dissolved metal ions, and generated ROS.Meanwhile,it is able to damage ARGs after 180 min of photodegradation, including tetA(vs TC)of 3.3 log 10,aphA(vs kanamycin sulfate,KAN)of 3.4 log 10,and tnpA(vs ampicillin,AMP)of 4.4 log 10,respectively.This work explores a green way for treating antibiotic pollution under visible light.
文摘As more business transactions and information services have been implemented via communication networks, both personal and organization assets encounter a higher risk of attacks. To safeguard these,a perimeter defence likeNIDS(network-based intrusion detection system)can be effective for known intrusions. There has been a great deal of attention within the joint community of security and data science to improve machine-learning based NIDS such that it becomes more accurate for adversarial attacks, where obfuscation techniques are applied to disguise patterns of intrusive traffics. The current research focuses on non-payload connections at the TCP(transmission control protocol)stack level that is applicable to different network applications. In contrary to the wrapper method introduced with the benchmark dataset, three new filter models are proposed to transform the feature space without knowledge of class labels. These ECT(ensemble clustering based transformation)techniques,i.e.,ECT-Subspace,ECT-Noise and ECT-Combined,are developed using the concept of ensemble clustering and three different ensemble generation strategies,i.e.,random feature subspace, feature noise injection and their combinations.Based on the empirical study with published dataset and four classification algorithms, new models usually outperform that original wrapper and other filter alternatives found in the literature. This is similarly summarized from the first experiment with basic classification of legitimate and direct attacks, and the second that focuses on recognizing obfuscated intrusions. In addition, analysis of algorithmic parameters,i.e.,ensemble size and level of noise,is provided as a guideline for a practical use.
文摘Following the success of soft biometrics over traditional biomet-rics,anthropometric soft biometrics are emerging as candidate features for recognition or retrieval using an image/video.Anthropometric soft biometrics uses a quantitative mode of annotation which is a relatively better method for annotation than qualitative annotations adopted by traditional biometrics. However, one of the most challenging tasks is to achieve a higher level of accuracy while estimating anthropometric soft biometrics using an image or video. The level of accuracy is usually affected by several contextual factors such as overlapping body components,an angle from the camera, and ambient conditions.Exploring and developing such a collection of anthropometric soft biometrics that are less sensitive to contextual factors and are relatively easy to estimate using an image or video is a potential research domain and it has a lot of value for improved recognition or retrieval. For this purpose,anthro-pometric soft biometrics, which are originally geometric measurements of the human body, can be computed with ease and higher accuracy using landmarks information from the human body.To this end, several key contributions are made in this paper;i)summarizing a range of human body pose estimation tools used to localize dozens of different multi-modality landmarks from the human body,ii)a critical evaluation of the usefulness of anthropometric soft biometrics in recognition or retrieval tasks using state of the art in the field, iii)an investigation on several benchmark human body anthropometric datasets and their usefulness for the evaluation of any anthropometric soft biometric system, and iv)finally,a novel bag of anthropometric soft biomet-rics containing a list of anthropometrics is presented those are practically possible to measure from an image or video. To the best of our knowledge, anthropometric soft biometrics are potential features for improved seamless recognition or retrieval in both constrained and unconstrained scenarios and they also minimize the approximation level of feature value estimation than traditional biometrics. In our opinion, anthropometric soft biometrics constitutes a practical approach for recognition using closed-circuit television(CCTV)or retrieval from the image dataset, while the bag of anthropometric soft biometrics presented contains a potential collection of biometric features which are less sensitive to contextual factors.
