It is found that the isotopic fractionation during the complete production of shale gas/coalbed methane shows a four-stage characteristic of “stable-lighter-heavier-lighter again”, which is related to the complex gas migration modes in the pores of shale/coal. The gas migration mechanisms in shale/coal include seepage, diffusion, and adsorption/desorption. Among them, seepage driven by pressure difference does not induce isotopic fractionation, while diffusion and adsorption/desorption lead to significant isotope fractionation. The existing characterization models of isotopic fractionation include diffusion fractionation model, diffusion-adsorption/desorption coupled model, and multi-scale and multi-mechanism coupled model. Results of model calculations show that the isotopic fractionation during natural gas migration is mainly controlled by pore structure, adsorption capacity, and initial/boundary conditions of the reservoir rock. So far, the isotope fractionation model has been successfully used to evaluate critical parameters, such as gas-in-place content and ratio of adsorbed/free gas in shale/coal etc. Furthermore, it has shown promising application potential in production status identification and decline trend prediction of gas well. Future research should focus on:(1) the co-evolution of carbon and hydrogen isotopes of different components during natural gas migration,(2) the characterization of isotopic fractionation during the whole process of gas generation-expulsion-migration-accumulation-dispersion, and(3) quantitative characterization of isotopic fractionation during natural gas migration in complex pore-fracture systems and its application.展开更多

As a standard technique, liquid saturation methods, including water saturation (WS)and oil saturation (OS), have been widely used to measure the porosity of many rock types. For clay-richshale reservoirs with high organic matter content, it is well known that the WS method may cause clayswelling and induce structural changes in the pore system. The OS method affects the accuracy ofporosity measurements because of some of the oil being dissolved by kerogen within the shale;however, this has not received sufficient research attention. In this study, we compare the previously reported andnewly tested OS porosities with helium (He) expansion porosity. Results show that OS porosity generallyexceeds the He porosity. Furthermore, the higher the total organic carbon (TOC) content and lower thematurity of shale, the greater the difference between the OS and helium porosities. When using the OSmethod, the effect of kerogen-dissolved oil causes an overestimation of the shale porosity by ~30%. To thebest of our knowledge, this is the first time to note the kerogen-dissolve oil effects on OS porosity. Herein,we propose a new, simple, and effective correction method for estimating OS porosity that involvessubtracting the kerogen-dissolved oil content from raw OS porosity. In addition, the quantification modelof kerogen-dissolved oil capacity is established, taking into account the abundance and maturity oforganic matter. Taking the He porosity as the benchmark, the absolute error of the corrected OS porositydoes not exceed 1% and the average relative error is only ~10%. The obtained results can help improve theaccuracy of shale porosity evaluation methods.展开更多

The tight gas charging and accumulation mechanisms were revealed from a combination of physical simulation of nuclear magnetic resonance coupling displacement, numerical simulation considering material and mechanical equilibria, as well as actual geological observation. The results show that gas migrates into tight rocks to preferentially form a gas saturation stabilization zone near the source-reservoir interface. When the gas source is insufficient, gas saturation reduction zone and uncharged zone are formed in sequence from the source-reservoir interface. The better the source rock conditions with more gas expulsion volume and higher overpressure, the thicker the gas saturation stabilization and reduction zones, and the higher the overall gas saturation. When the source rock conditions are limited, the better the tight reservoir conditions with higher porosity and permeability as well as larger pore throat, the thinner the gas saturation stabilization and reduction zones, but the gas saturation is high. The sweet spot of tight gas is developed in the high-quality reservoir near the source rock, which often corresponds to the gas saturation stabilization zone. The numerical simulation results by mathematical model agree well with the physical simulation results by nuclear magnetic resonance coupling displacement, and reasonably explain the gas-water distribution and production pattern of deep reservoirs in the Xujiaweizi fault depression of the Songliao Basin and tight gas reservoirs in the Linxing-Huangfu area of the Ordos Basin.展开更多

Two classes of measurements(i.e., local measurements and edge measurements) are obtained, respectively, from the individual area and the transmission lines. A decentralized state estimator, whose performance is resistant against measurement with anomalies, is designed based on the minimum error entropy with fiducial points(MEEF) criterion. Specifically, 1) An augmented model, which incorporates the local prediction and local measurement, is developed by resorting to the unscented transformation approach and the statistical linearization approach;2) Using the augmented model, an MEEF-based cost function is designed that reflects the local prediction errors of the state and the measurement;and 3) The local estimate is first obtained by minimizing the MEEF-based cost function through a fixed-point iteration and then updated by using the edge measuring information. Finally, simulation experiments with three scenarios are carried out on the IEEE 14-bus system to illustrate the validity of the proposed anomaly-resistant decentralized SE scheme.展开更多

文摘Accurate detection of pipeline leakage is essential to maintain the safety of pipeline transportation.Recently, deep learning(DL)has emerged as a promising tool for pipeline leakage detection(PLD).However, most existing DL methods have difficulty in achieving good performance in identifying leakage types due to the complex time dynamics of pipeline data.On the other hand, the initial parameter selection in the detection model is generally random, which may lead to unstable recognition performance. For this reason,a hybrid DL framework referred to as parameter-optimized recurrent attention network(PRAN)is presented in this paper to improve the accuracy of PLD.First,a parameter-optimized long short-term memory(LSTM)network is introduced to extract effective and robust features, which exploits a particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm with cross-entropy fitness function to search for globally optimal parameters. With this framework, the learning representation capability of the model is improved and the convergence rate is accelerated. Moreover,an anomaly-attention mechanism(AM)is proposed to discover class discriminative information by weighting the hidden states, which contributes to amplifying the normalabnormal distinguishable discrepancy, further improving the accuracy of PLD.After that, the proposed PRAN not only implements the adaptive optimization of network parameters, but also enlarges the contribution of normal-abnormal discrepancy, thereby overcoming the drawbacks of instability and poor generalization. Finally, the experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed PRAN for PLD.

文摘This paper is concerned with the problem of finitehorizon energy-to-peak state estimation for a class of networked linear time-varying systems.Due to the inherent vulnerability of network-based communication, the measurement signals transmitted over a communication network might be intercepted by potential eavesdroppers. To avoid information leakage,by resorting to an artificial-noise-assisted method,we develop a novel encryption-decryption scheme to ensure that the transmitted signal is composed of the raw measurement and an artificial-noise term.A special evaluation index named secrecy capacity is employed to assess the information security of signal transmissions under the developed encryption-decryption scheme. The purpose of the addressed problem is to design an encryptiondecryption scheme and a state estimator such that:1)the desired secrecy capacity is ensured;and 2)the required finite-horizon–l_(2)-l_(∞)performance is achieved.Sufficient conditions are established on the existence of the encryption-decryption mechanism and the finite-horizon state estimator. Finally, simulation results are proposed to show the effectiveness of our proposed encryption-decryption-based state estimation scheme.
文摘The technical feasibility of in situ upgrading technology to develop the enormous oil and gas resource potential in low-maturity shale is widely acknowledged. However, because of the large quantities of energy required to heat shale, its economic feasibility is still a matter of debate and has yet to be convincingly demonstrated quantitatively.Based on the energy conservation law,the energy acquisition of oil and gas generation and the energy consumption of organic matter cracking, shale heat-absorption,and surrounding rock heat dissipation during in situ heating were evaluated in this study. The energy consumption ratios for different conditions were determined, and the factors that influence them were analyzed. The results show that the energy consumption ratio increases rapidly with increasing total organic carbon(TOC)content. For oil-prone shales, the TOC content corresponding to an energy consumption ratio of 3 is approximately 4.2%.This indicates that shale with a high TOC content can be expected to reduce the project cost through large-scale operation, making the energy consumption ratio after consideration of the project cost greater than 1.In situ heating and upgrading technology can achieve economic benefits. The main methods for improving the economic feasibility by analyzing factors that influence the energy consumption ratio include the following:(1)exploring technologies that efficiently heat shale but reduce the heat dissipation of surrounding rocks,(2)exploring technologies for efficient transformation of organic matter into oil and gas,i.e.,exploring technologies with catalytic effects,or the capability to reduce in situ heating time,and(3)establishing a horizontal well deployment technology that comprehensively considers the energy consumption ratio, time cost, and engineering cost.

文摘Shale oil can be extracted from shale by using interconnected pore networks. The migration of hydrocarbon molecules within the shale is controlled by pore connectivity. However, assessing the pore connectivity of shale oil reservoirs is uncommon. To characterize pore connectivity and clarify its controlling factors, this study used spontaneous imbibition(SI)combined with nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)T_(2)and T_(1)-T_(2)technologies on shale oil reservoirs selected from the Shahejie Formation in the Dongying Sag,Bohai Bay Basin.According to the findings, the SI processes of shales include fast-rising,slow-rising,and stable stages. The fast-rising stage denotes pore connectivity. The shales studied have poor connectivity, with lower imbibition slopes and connected porosity ratios, but large effective tortuosity.During the SI process, micropores have the highest imbibition saturation, followed by mesopores and macropores.Furthermore,n-dodecane ingested into micropores appears primarily as adsorbed, whereas n-dodecane appears primarily as free states in mesopores and macropores during the SI process. The pore connectivity of the shales under study is primarily controlled by inorganic minerals.Quartz and feldspar develop large and regular pores, resulting in better pore connectivity, whereas clay minerals and calcite with plenty of complex intragranular pores do not.Organic matter negatively influences pore connectivity because the dissolution of calcite by organic acid produced during hydrocarbon generation leads to a more complex and heterogeneous pore structure. This study sheds light on the pore connectivity and controlling factors of the shale oil reservoir and aids in the understanding of shale oil mobility.
