Transformer-based models have facilitated significant advances in object detection.However,their extensive computational consumption and suboptimal detection of dense small objects curtail their applicability in unman...Transformer-based models have facilitated significant advances in object detection.However,their extensive computational consumption and suboptimal detection of dense small objects curtail their applicability in unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)imagery.Addressing these limitations,we propose a hybrid transformer-based detector,H-DETR,and enhance it for dense small objects,leading to an accurate and efficient model.Firstly,we introduce a hybrid transformer encoder,which integrates a convolutional neural network-based cross-scale fusion module with the original encoder to handle multi-scale feature sequences more efficiently.Furthermore,we propose two novel strategies to enhance detection performance without incurring additional inference computation.Query filter is designed to cope with the dense clustering inherent in drone-captured images by counteracting similar queries with a training-aware non-maximum suppression.Adversarial denoising learning is a novel enhancement method inspired by adversarial learning,which improves the detection of numerous small targets by counteracting the effects of artificial spatial and semantic noise.Extensive experiments on the VisDrone and UAVDT datasets substantiate the effectiveness of our approach,achieving a significant improvement in accuracy with a reduction in computational complexity.Our method achieves 31.9%and 21.1%AP on the VisDrone and UAVDT datasets,respectively,and has a faster inference speed,making it a competitive model in UAV image object detection.展开更多

The population aggregation and the external extension of urban area have brought a lot of negative effects, such as discontinuities of green space matrix, dysfunction of green wedge permeation, deficiency of eco-corridor, structural imbalance of green space system and so on. The overall layout of Green space system known as "One Belt & Three Bays, One Core & Six Towns, Two Axes & Three Wedges, Two Net Synchronous-construction" strengthens the eco-connection among different groups and green space in central area of the city, and realizes the collaborative construction of both resource corridor and landscape corridor. The eco-layout of green core, green corridor and green patch helps keep the integrity of large vegetation patches, enhances the eco-connection of different types of green space and improves finger-shaped network of urban green space. The most efficient way to promote the circulation of urban ecosystem and the positive development of Sanya City is to plan multilevel and three-dimensional eco-space structure and maximize ecological benefits of green space system.展开更多

It is also an important theme for adapting and respo...Industrial transformation and green production(ITGP) is a new 10-year international research initiative proposed by the Chinese National Committee for Future Earth. It is also an important theme for adapting and responding to global environmental change. Aiming at a thorough examination of the implementation of ITGP in China, this paper presents its objectives, its three major areas, and their progress so far. It also identifies the key elements of its management and proposes new perspectives on managing green transformation. For instance, we introduce a case study on cement industry that shows the positive policy effects of reducing backward production capacity on PCDD/Fs emissions. Finally,to develop different transformation scenarios for a green future, we propose four strategies: 1) policy integration for promoting green industry, 2)system innovation and a multidisciplinary approach, 3) collaborative governance with all potential stakeholders, and 4) managing uncertainty,risks, and long-time horizons.展开更多
The metal oxide catalyst was prepared by loading MnOx and FeOx on carbon nano-tubes (CNTs) with impregnation method. Then the catalyst was characterized by BET and XPS, and the effect of adding FeOx on MnOx/CNTs catal...The metal oxide catalyst was prepared by loading MnOx and FeOx on carbon nano-tubes (CNTs) with impregnation method. Then the catalyst was characterized by BET and XPS, and the effect of adding FeOx on MnOx/CNTs catalyst at the low-temperature selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH3 was investigated. The results showed that the active components were loaded suc-cessfully and easily on the carriers by impregnation. The Mn-Fe/CNTs catalyst was chose 10% Fe(NO3)3 solution to impregnate Mn-Fe/CNTs. The species of active components loaded on the catalyst were Fe2O3. The different concentration of impregnant solution played an important role for NO conversion in SCR with NH3. With the increase of the concentration of impregnant solution, the NO conversion of catalysts was increasing initially then decreasing.展开更多

A total of 18 cities and counties in Hainan from 2012 to 2015 were selected as the basic research units to construct an index system for evaluating the ability of sustainable development that includes four guidelines ...A total of 18 cities and counties in Hainan from 2012 to 2015 were selected as the basic research units to construct an index system for evaluating the ability of sustainable development that includes four guidelines of economic development capacity, population development capacity, social support capacity, and resource utilization and environmental protection capacity. The improved entropy method was used to determine the weight, the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TDPSIS) was used to calculate the capacity for sustainable development of the cities and counties and sort these cities and counties, and Arcgis10.2 was used to draw the provincewide distribution of the four guidelines. Thereupon, the author reached following conclusions: there was no big regional difference in the sustainable development capacity of cities and counties in Hainan, and they were basically in a general state of intermediate stage in the past four years; Haikou City and Sanya City, as the key cities, had a higher ability of sustainable development and had shown a remarkable capacity to drive the sustainable development of surrounding areas; according to the development level, the four guidelines were in the following order: resource utilization and environmental protection capacity, population development capacity, social support capacity, and economic development capacity.展开更多

To defi ne development stages and dominant factors of urbanization, this paper adopted such quantitative research methods as principal component analysis(PCA) and regression analysis, established a composite index system including population, land use, economic and social factors, and investigated urbanization process of Hainan Province using SPSS19.0. The results showed that the comprehensive influence obtained from the composite index system has had increasing impact on the urbanization of Hainan since 2000, and showed obvious stage features. As a whole, the urbanization history falls into 3 stages: slowing down, improving, and rapidly accelerating, and dominant factors in each stage vary greatly.展开更多

In order to overcome this problem, many approaches have been proposed. Among them, LAO*, LRTDP and HDP are state-of-the-art ones. All of these use reach ability analysis and heuristics to avoid some unnecessary backups. However, none of these approaches fully exploit the graphical features of the MDPs or use these features to yield the best backup sequence of the state space. We introduce an improved algorithm named Topological Order Value Iteration (TOVI) that can circumvent the problem of unnecessary backups by detecting the structure of MDPs and backing up states based on topological sequences. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and excellent performance of our algorithm.展开更多

In the last several decades, significant research achievements and practice benefits have been achieved about removing wastes from manufacturing process. Since the1990 s, some researchers and lean practitioners have paid more attention to removing waste from non-manufacturing process.Based on the authors' research work and industrial practice, the paper introduces a kind of lean approach for removing waste from non-manufacturing process. In its case study, the order handling process in a value chain is described with respect to a factory and its downstream distribution centers(DCs). The paper proposes a lean approach solution for creating the improved order handling process, and analyze how great improvements in performance can be achieved. As a result, the significant achievement has created a win-win scenario for both the nonmanufacturing process in a factory and non-manufacturing facilities(like DCs) across the value chain. It demonstrates that improvements have been made by removing waste from the non-manufacturing process that takes place within a factory as well as with external participants through the whole value chain. Likewise, the proposed lean approach has helped the case companies to achieve greater levels of efficiency and more benefits. Finally, some conclusions are drawn.展开更多

Comparative evaluation of the proposed approach with the Na ve Bayes algorithm have been developed before for the same purpose.Findings: Experimental results show that the heuristics based algorithm outperformed the Na ve Bayes algorithm. The use of leading words helped improving the annotation performance while prioritizing rule application based on their weights had no significant impact on algorithm performance.Research limitations: The ICTCLAS was used to identify word boundaries off-shelf without optimatization for biodiversity domain. This may have not made the best use of the tool.Practical implications & Originality/value: The performance of heuristics based approach,enhanced by leading words analysis, reached an F value of 0.9216, which is sufficiently accurate for practical use.展开更多
