Three stages of the hydrothermal process can be distinguished, including the quartz ± pyrite, quartz-polymetallic sulfide, and quartz-carbonate ± pyrite stages. From the early to late stages, the homogenization temperatures of primary fluid inclusions are 281–362°C, 227–331°C, and 149–261°C, respectively. The corresponding salinities estimated for these fluids are 3.9–9.9 wt%, 0.4–9.4 wt%, and 0.7–7.2 wt% Na Cl equiv. Combined with laser Raman spectroscopy data, the ore-forming fluid belongs to a H_(2)O-CO_(2)-Na Cl ± CH_4 system with medium–low temperature and salinity. The δ~(18)Ofluid and δD values for the quartz veins are-1.0‰ to 6.0‰ and-105‰ to-84‰, respectively, which indicates that the ore-forming fluid is of mixed source, mainly derived from magma, with a contribution from meteoric water. Pyrite has been identified into three generations based on mineral paragenetic sequencing, including Py1, Py2, and Py3. The pyrites have δ~(34)S sulfur isotopic compositions from three stages between 3.7‰ and 8.4‰, indicating that sulfur mainly originated from magma. Te, Bi, Sb, and Cu contents in pyrite were all high and showed a strong correlation with Au concentrations. Native gold and the Au-Ag-Bi telluride minerals were formed concurrently, and the As concentration was low and decoupled from the Au content. Therefore, Te, Bi, Sb and other low-melting point chalcophile elements play an important role for gold mineralization in arsenic-deficient ore-forming fluid. Combined with the geological setting, evolution of pyrite, and ore-fluids geochemistry, we propose that the Jianbeigou deposit can be classified as a magmatic–hydrothermal lode gold deposit. Gold mineralization on the southern margin of the North China Craton is related to Early Cretaceous magmatism and formed in an extensional setting.展开更多

The results show that the lithology of the reservoir in the flow three section of the study area is dominated by coarse sandstone and medium sandstone, followed by conglomerate-bearing sandstone and sand conglomerate. The porosity is mainly distributed in the range of medium-high porosity, and the permeability is mainly medium seepage, and the overall physical properties are good. The three sections of the stream in the study area mainly include four sedimentary microphases, namely, underwater diversion channel, estuarine dam, mat sand and inter-diversion bay. The underwater diversion channel has the best physical properties, characterized by coarse grains and low mud content. The medium and coarse sand content of various lithologic reservoirs is the main factor in the formation of high-quality reservoirs. Rock-forming action is an important factor affecting the physical properties of local reservoirs, comparing the compaction, cementation and dissolution between different sedimentary microphases, the underwater diverging river has the lowest rate of compaction and pore reduction, the highest rate of pore increase by dissolution, and the best physical properties. Therefore, the weakly cemented-strongly dissolved coarse sandstone phase developed in the microphase of the underwater diversion channel in section 3 of the flow in the study area is the most favorable reservoir.展开更多

文摘Historically, landslides have been the primary type of geological disaster worldwide.Generally, the stability of reservoir banks is primarily affected by rainfall and reservoir water level fluctuations. Moreover, the stability of reservoir banks changes with the long-term dynamics of external disastercausing factors. Thus, assessing the time-varying reliability of reservoir landslides remains a challenge. In this paper,a machine learning(ML)based approach is proposed to analyze the long-term reliability of reservoir bank landslides in spatially variable soils through time series prediction. This study systematically investigated the prediction performances of three ML algorithms,i.e.multilayer perceptron(MLP),convolutional neural network(CNN),and long short-term memory(LSTM).Additionally, the effects of the data quantity and data ratio on the predictive power of deep learning models are considered. The results show that all three ML models can accurately depict the changes in the time-varying failure probability of reservoir landslides. The CNN model outperforms both the MLP and LSTM models in predicting the failure probability.Furthermore, selecting the right data ratio can improve the prediction accuracy of the failure probability obtained by ML models.

文摘Intense precipitation infiltration and intricate excavation processes are crucial factors that impact the stability and security of towering and steep rock slopes within mining sites. The primary aim of this research was to investigate the progression of cumulative failure within a cracked rock formation, considering the combined effects of precipitation and excavation activities. The study was conducted in the Huangniuqian eastern mining area of the Dexing Copper Mine in Jiangxi Province,China. An engineering geological investigation was conducted,a physical model experiment was performed, numerical calculations and theoretical analysis were conducted using the matrix discrete element method(Mat-DEM),and the deformation characteristics and the effect of the slope angle of a fractured rock mass under different scenarios were examined. The failure and instability mechanisms of the fractured rock mass under three slope angle models were analyzed. The experimental results indicate that as the slope angle increases, the combined effect of rainfall infiltration and excavation unloading is reduced.A novel approach to simulating unsaturated seepage in a rock mass, based on the van Genuchten model(VGM),has been developed.Compared to the vertical displacement observed in a similar physical experiment, the average relative errors associated with the slope angles of 45,50,and 55were 2.094%,1.916%,and 2.328%,respectively.Accordingly,the combined effect of rainfall and excavation was determined using the proposed method. Moreover, the accuracy of the numerical simulation was validated. The findings contribute to the seepage field in a meaningful way, offering insight that can inform and enhance existing methods and theories for research on the underlying mechanism of ultra-high and steep rock slope instability, which can inform the development of more effective risk management strategies.

文摘Rock shed is an effective protection measure against rockfall. To investigate the influences of falling rock’s shape and impact angle on the impact effect of the cushioned rock shed,a modeling approach for a rock shed with a cushion layer using PFC-FLAC.The granular cushion is modeled as an aggregate of discrete non-cohesion particles, while the concrete plate and the beam are modeled as zones. The falling rock with different sphericities and impact angles is modeled as a rigid assembly. The numerical model is validated by comparing the simulation results with experimental and numerical results from previous literature. This model is applied to analyze the effects of rock shape and impact angle on the dynamic interaction effects between falling rock and cushioned rock shed, including the impact force, transmitted bottom force, penetration depth, and plate deflection. The numerical results show that the variation in the falling rock’s shape has different effects on the falling rock with different impact angles. These findings could support rock shed design by revealing the limitations of the assumptions in the past research, which may result in unsafe rock sheds for some rockfall cases.

文摘Monitoring shear deformation of sliding zones is of great significance for understanding the landslide evolution mechanism,in which fiber optic strain sensing has shown great potential. However, the cor-relation between strain measurements of quasi-distributed fiber Bragg grating(FBG)sensing arrays and shear displacements of surrounding soil remains elusive. In this study,a direct shear model test was conducted to simulate the shear deformation of sliding zones,in which the soil internal deformation was captured using FBG strain sensors and the soil surface deformation was measured by particle image velocimetry(PIV).The test results show that there were two main slip surfaces and two secondary ones, developing a spindle-shaped shear band in the soil. The formation of the shear band was successfully captured by FBG sensors.A sinusoidal model was proposed to describe the fiber optic cable deformation behavior. On this basis, the shear displacements and shear band widths were calculated by using strain measurements. This work provides important insight into the deduction of soil shear deformation using soil-embedded FBG strain sensors.

文摘Engineering shallow,large-span rock tunnels challenges deformation control and escalates construction costs. This study investigates the excavation compensation method(ECM)and its associated technologies to address these issues.Utilizing five key technologies, the ECM effectively modulates radial stress post-excavation,redistributes stress in the surrounding rock, and eliminates tensile stress at the excavation face.Pre-tensioning measures further enhance the rock’s residual strength, establishing a new stability equilibrium.Field tests corroborate the method’s effectiveness, demonstrating a crown settlement reduction of 3–8 mm,a nearly 50%decrease compared to conventional construction approaches.Additionally, material consumption and construction duration were reduced by approximately 30%–35%and 1.75 months per 100 m,respectively. Thus, the ECM represents a significant innovation in enhancing the stability and construction efficiency of large-span rock tunnels, marking a novel contribution to the engineering field.

文摘Mountain excavation and city construction(MECC)projects being launched in the Loess Plateau in China involve the creation of large-scale artificial land.Understanding the subsurface evolution characteristics of the artificial land is essential, yet challenging. Here,we use an improved fiber-optic monitoring system for its subsurface multi-physical characterization. The system enables us to gather spatiotemporal distribution of various parameters, including strata deformation, temperature, and moisture.Yan’an New District was selected as a case study to conduct refined in-situ monitoring through a 77 m-deep borehole and a 30 m-long trench.Findings reveal that the ground settlement involves both the deformation of the filling loess and the underlying intact loess.Notably, the filling loess exhibits a stronger creep capability compared to underlying intact loess. The deformation along the profile is unevenly distributed, with a positive correlation with soil moisture.Water accumulation has been observed at the interface between the filling loess and the underlying intact loess, leading to a significant deformation. Moreover, the temperature and moisture in the filling loess have reached a new equilibrium state, with their depths influenced by atmospheric conditions measuring at 31 m and 26 m,respectively. The refined investigation allows us to identify critical layers that matter the sustainable development of newly created urban areas, and provide improved insights into the evolution mechanisms of land creation.

文摘The Early Cambrian represents a critical time period characterized by extraordinary biological innovations and dynamic redox conditions in seawaters.Nitrogen isotopic signatures of ancient sediments have the potential to elucidate the evolutionary path of marine redox states and the biogeochemical nitrogen cycle within the water column of the Early Cambrian ocean. While existing research on this topic has predominantly focused on South China, the exploration of other continental margins has been limited, leaving contradictory hypotheses untested. In this study,pairedδ^(15)N andδ^(13)C org analyses were performed on the Lower Cambrian successions from the Shiairike section(inner ramp)and Well Tadong 2(deep shelf/basin)in the northwestern and eastern Tarim Basin, respectively. Our data from the Shiairike section reveal a discernible shift in the operation of different nitrogen cycles for the black chert-shale unit, also referred to as the black rock series in Chinese literature,of the Yurtus Formation(Fortunian stage to lower Stage 3).Oscillatingδ^(15)N values for its lower part are suggestive of alternating anaerobic assimilation of NH 4+and denitrification/anammox.This is likely attributed to a shallow, unstable chemocline consistent with the upwelling and incursion of deep, anoxic waters during a major transgression. In contrast, aerobic nitrogen cycling, indicated by positiveδ^(15)N values of>2‰,dominated the upper part alongside a reduction in upwelling intensity. On the other hand,theδ^(15)N signatures of Xishanbulake and Xidashan Formations of Well Tadong 2,which encompass a time interval from the Cambrian Fortunian Age to Age 4,are indicative of N_(2)fixation by diazotrophs as the major nitrogen source. The two studied intervals, although not time-equivalent,exhibit separated states of nitrogen cycling at least during the deposition of the Yurtus black rock series. The spatially different nitrogen cycling of the studied sections is compatible with a redox-stratified ocean during the deposition of the Yurtus black rock series. The build-up of a NO_(3)−reservoir and aerobic nitrogen cycling in seawater was largely restricted to near-shore settings whereas anaerobic nitrogen cycling dominated by N_(2)fixation served as the main nitrogen uptake pathway in off-shore settings.

文摘The ultramafic massif of Feragen, which belongs to the eastern ophiolitic belt of Norway, has abundant amounts of chromite ores.Recent studies have revealed a complex melt evolution in a supra-subduction zone(SSZ)environment. This study presents new whole-rock major element, trace element, and platinum-group element chemistry to evaluate their petrogenesis and tectonic evolution.Harzburgites have high CaO,Al_(2)O_(3),TiO_(2),MgO,and REE contents corresponding to abyssal peridotites, whereas dunites have low CaO,Al_(2)O_(3),TiO_(2),MgO,and REE contents corresponding to SSZ peridotites. The Cr^(#)and TiO_(2) of chromian spinels in the harzburgites suggest as much as about 15%–20%melting and the dunites are more depleted with>40%melting.The harzburgites and the dunites and high-Cr chromitites represent, respectively, the products of low-degree partial melting in a back-arc setting, and the products of melt-rock interaction in a SSZ environment. The calculated fO_(2) values for dunites and high-Cr chromitites(-0.17–+0.23 and+2.78–+5.65,respectively and generally above the FMQ buffer)are also consistent with the interaction between back-arc ophiolites with oxidized boninitic melts in a SSZ setting.

文摘The Jianbeigou gold deposit is a typical lode gold deposit in the Qinling metallogenic belt, located on the southern margin of the North China Craton. Gold mineralization on the southern margin of the North China Craton is related to Early Cretaceous magmatism and formed in an extensional setting.

文摘Understanding the paleoenvironment and phytogeographical history of the Tibetan Plateau,China relies on discovering new plant fossils. The Qaidam Basin has long been regarded as an ideal‘field laboratory’to investigate the paleoclimate and paleobiological evolution of the northern Tibetan Plateau. However, fossil angiosperms from the Qaidam Basin are rare, and our knowledge of its paleovegetation is poor. Here,we report fossil leaves and fruits of Betulaceae found from the Oligocene Shangganchaigou Formation of northwestern Qaidam Basin(Huatugou area).Comparative morphological analysis led us to assign the fruits to the Betula subgenus Betula and the leaves to Carpinus grandis. These findings, together with other reported fossil plants from the same locality, reveal a close floristic linkage between the Qaidam Basin and Europe during the Oligocene. The northern pathway of this floristic exchange may have crossed through the Qaidam Basin during the late Paleogene. This floristic linkage may have been facilitated by the continuous narrowing of the Turgai Strait and stronger westerlies, which transported moisture and provided favorable climatic conditions.Indeed, fossil plants collected from the Qaidam Basin suggest that during the Oligocene this region had warm and humid deciduous broad-leaf forest, which differs from the region’s modern vegetation and indicates that the Qaidam Basin may have been a suitable region for these plants to flourish and spread during the Oligocene.

文摘When the geological environment of rock masses is disturbed, numerous non-persisting open joints can appear within it.It is crucial to investigate the effect of open joints on the mechanical properties of rock mass. However,it has been challenging to generate realistic open joints in traditional experimental tests and numerical simulations. This paper presents a novel solution to solve the problem.By utilizing the stochastic distribution of joints and an enhanced-fractal interpolation system(IFS)method, rough curves with any orientation can be generated. The Douglas-Peucker algorithm is then applied to simplify these curves by removing unnecessary points while preserving their fundamental shape.Subsequently, open joints are created by connecting points that move to both sides of rough curves based on the aperture distribution.Mesh modeling is performed to construct the final mesh model. Finally, the RB-DEM method is applied to transform the mesh model into a discrete element model containing geometric information about these open joints.Furthermore, this study explores the impacts of rough open joint orientation, aperture, and number on rock fracture mechanics. This method provides a realistic and effective approach for modeling and simulating these non-persisting open joints.

文摘To better understand the failure behaviours and strength of bolt-reinforced blocky rocks, large scale extensive laboratory experiments are carried out on blocky rock-like specimens with and without rockbolt reinforcement. The results show that both shear failure and tensile failure along joint surfaces are observed but the shear failure is a main controlling factor for the peak strength of the rock mass with and without rockbolts. The rockbolts are necked and shear deformation simultaneously happens in bolt reinforced rock specimens. As the joint dip angle increases, the joint shear failure becomes more dominant. The number of rockbolts has a significant impact on the peak strain and uniaxial compressive strength(UCS),but little influence on the deformation modulus of the rock mass.Using the Winkler beam model to represent the rockbolt behaviours,an analytical model for the prediction of the strength of boltreinforced blocky rocks is proposed.Good agreement between the UCS values predicted by proposed model and obtained from experiments suggest an encouraging performance of the proposed model. In addition, the performance of the proposed model is further assessed using published results in the literature, indicating the proposed model can be used effectively in the prediction of UCS of bolt-reinforced blocky rocks.

文摘Biochar is a carbon sink material with the potential to improve water retention in various soils. However, for the long‐term maintenance of green infrastructure, there is an additional need to regulate the water contents in the covers to maintain vegetation growth in semiarid conditions. In this study, biochar‐amended soil was combined with subsurface drip irrigation, and the water preservation characteristics of this treatment were investigated through a series of one‐dimensional soil column tests. To ascertain the best treatment method specific to semiarid climatic conditions, the test soil was amended with 0%,1%,3%,and 5%biochar.Automatic irrigation devices equipped with soil moisture sensors were used to control the subsurface water content with the aim of enhancing vegetation growth. Each soil column test lasted 150 h,during which the volumetric water contents and soil suction data were recorded. The experimental results reveal that the soil specimen amended with 3%biochar is the most water‐saving regardless of the time cost.Soil with a higher biochar content(e.g.,5%)consumes a more significant amount of water due to the enhancement of the water‐holding capacity.Based on the experimental results,it can be concluded that the appropriate ratio can be determined within 1%–3%,which can reduce not only the amount of irrigated/used water but also the time cost.Such technology can be explored for water content regulation in green infrastructure and the development of barriers for protecting the environment around deep underground waste containment.

文摘In order to clarify the reservoir characteristics and main controlling factors of the flow three section of the K oil field in the Weixinan Depression, a study on the reservoir characteristics and main controlling factors of the flow three section of the K oil field in the Weixinan Depression has been carried out by utilizing the data of cores, casting thin sections, physical property tests and logging wells. Therefore, the weakly cemented-strongly dissolved coarse sandstone phase developed in the microphase of the underwater diversion channel in section 3 of the flow in the study area is the most favorable reservoir.
