The ONP neutral deinking performances of fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether with different EO value were investigated in this paper. Meanwhile, the synergistic effects of different non-ionic surfactants, the co-operation of non-ionic surfactants with anionic surfactants,and the effects of different salts added into the above two systems on deinkability were also studied. The results showed the deinking performance of A7 was good. But the synergistic effect of A7 and A4 was better. In addition, the accession of salt W2 could improve the deinking efficiency, and the brightness of the deinked pulp was 1.0%ISO higher than that of A7 and A4. 展开更多

A new pulp papermaking raw material, Guangyechu, is introduced in this paper, including material characteristics and ultilization of bast, wood pole and leaf. The fiber morphological characteristics, chemical composition of wood pole and feasibility of pulping and papermaking by APMP process are studied in the laboratory. The results show that wood pole can be put to use in papermaking industry. The APMP pulp is produced using 5.2% sodium hydroxide and 5.0% hydrogen peroxide. The novel technology has offered breaking length of 4.74km, tearing index 3.08mN·m2·g-1, brightness of 71.6%ISO, bursting index 2.07 KPa·m2·g-1,opacity 84.5% and yield of 75.7%. As a pulp for newsprint, offset point paper and information paper, the Guangyechu APMP shows its advantages both quality and cost-efficienty. It is significative to apply the pole of Guangyechu, which is only firing at present to the paper industry. 展开更多

The investigated properties of bentonite included adsorptive capacity based on methylene blue, cation-exchange capacity, swelling volume, colloidal volume, particle size and charge properties. The results show that particle size is the most important properties of bentonite for its synergistic retention effect with CPAM. Using Wyoming type sodium bentonite without drying after modification can obtain the excellent furnishes retention. 展开更多

The mechanical and chemical effect on the pulping properties of the old newsprint was studied using a FORMAX Micro-Maelstrom Laboratory Pulper, and the flotation conditions such as velocity of air flow, air pressure and flotation time were also discussed with a FORMAX Deink Cell. The results show that sodium hydroxide, sodium silicate, hydrogen peroxide and deinking agent are the key factors in the chemical effect, and pulping consistency is more important than pulping time and rotation speed in the mechanical effect during the high consistency pulping of the ONP. In general, the chemical effect has a greater influence on the deinked pulp properties than the mechanical effect. 展开更多

An extended linear combination of arrangement channels-scattering wave-function(LCAC-SW) quantum scattering dynamic method combined with ab initio quantum chemical calculation was used to study the formation mechanism of the resonance states for the collinear Na+I 2→Na ++I - 2 ion-pair formation process on Aten-Lanting-Los potential energy surface. The resonance energy and the resonance width or the lifetime for the first resonance peak were calculated. The resonance can be identified as the Feshbach type and the physical interpretation is given. The geometric structure of the resonance state for the title system has been optimized. 展开更多

Polymer/montmorillonite complexes were prepared via intercalating polymers of low molecular weight into layers of montmorillonite and evaluated for their interactions with rosin acid. Three polymers from various amines modified by epichlorohydrin and an acidified diethylenetriamine were separately intercalated into montmorillonite via direct solution intercalation. X-ray diffraction patterns are performed to obtain information about the intercalation of these agents. The examination revealed that it was feasible for the direct intercalation of polymers, while hard for the unmodified diethylenetriamine. Adsorption isotherm curves were established to assess the efficiency of the various montmorillonites including the intercalated montmorillonites, the simple mixtures of the corresponding intercalation agents and ordinary montmorillonite in removing pitch from water solution. From the adsorption behavior of various samples, it was found that the interaction of the montmorillonite with pitch was not only through van der Waals attraction, but also through electrostatic interactions. Both the organo-philic and the surface electrostatic properties of the montmorillonites are important for successful pitch control. 展开更多

The fiber morphology and pulping properties of triploid of populus tomentosa from plantation at different ages were investigated in the paper,also the main chemical compositions were determined. The results showed that the difference of chemical compositions is not significant, and the extractive contents become bigger in some sort with age, the difference of length weighted mean length of fiber also is not significant, and coarseness of fiber has trend of augment by degree, while the fines content increases obviously with age. That difference of pulping properties between chemical pulping (KP process and Soda-AQ process) and chemimechanical pulping (SCMP process and APMP process) is not significant, which is consistent with the analysis of chemical composition and fiber morphology. Considering comprehensively, the tree age of 5 years is better for paper making industry, also the mixed pulping with different ages of the triploid of populus tomentosa is feasible with steady pulp quality. 展开更多

Layered double hydroxides consisting of layers with cationic charges may be potential candidates of cationic microparticles forming synergetic retention effect with anionic polyacrylamide. In this work, the layered double hydroxides with various molar ratios of Mg/Al were synthesized by co-precipitation of magnesium chloride and aluminum chloride and peptized by intense washing with water. The chemical formula, particle size, Zeta potential of the layered double hydroxide were analyzed. It was found that positively charged magnesium aluminum hydroxide with particle diameter in nanoparticle size could be prepared. The Zeta potential and particle size vary with the feed molar ratio of Mg/Al and the peptizing process, respectively. The Zeta potential is also pH dependent. The retention experiments carried out on DDJ show that when used together with anionic polyacrylamide, the positively charged colloidal double hydroxide greatly improves the retention of reed pulps. The chemical formula, particle size and Zeta potential of the colloidal double hydroxide all affect its retention behavior. 展开更多

Fiber screen analysis, fiber quality analysis and SEM observation were used to investigate the effects of NaOH charge on fiber characteristics in Triploid Populus Tomentosa P-RC APMP pulping in this paper. The results showed that increasing NaOH charge in P-RC APMP process could reduce energy consumption and fines percent, increase the mean fiber length and long fiber percent and make the curl index and kink index of fiber ascend. The results from SEM observation illustrated that the fiber with high NaOH charge had higher softness degree, better cutting resistant ability and better inter-fiber bonding ability. With increasing of NaOH charge, the surface of handsheets became more and more smooth, and there were less and less gaps and holes on the paper surface. 展开更多

The process of xylanase pretreatment and hydrogen peroxide bleaching was optimized. The xylanase treated pulp achieved a brightness gain of 5.8% ISO over the untreated pulp. Quasiclassical trajectory calculation (QCT) is used frequently for studying collisional energy transfer between highly vibrationally excited molecules and bath gases. In this paper, the QCT of the energy transfer between highly vibrationally excited C6F6 and N2 ,O2 and ground state C6F6 were performed. The results indicate that highly vibrationally excited C6F6 transferred vibrational energy to vibrational distribution of N2, O2 and ground state C6F6, so they are V-V energy transfer. Especially it is mainly V-V resonance energy transfer between excited C6F6 and ground state C6F6, excited C6F6 transfers more vibrational energy to ground state C6F6 than to N2 and O2 . The values of QCT , -〈DEvib〉of excited C6F6 are smaller than those of experiments. 展开更多

A variety of possible complexes and saddle points along the minimum energy reaction paths have been characterized at UMP2 (full)/6-31G(d) level. The calculations reveal dominating reaction mechanisms of the title reaction: CH3S + NO2 firstly produce intermediate CH3SONO, then break up into CH3SO + NO. The results are valuable to understand the atmospheric sulfur compounds oxidation mechanism. 展开更多
