In the multi-cultural era,cultural differences,or even cultural gaps are everywhere,so it is important for us to deal with the relation between different cultures properly. As far as C hinese culture and French culture is concerned,there are also similarities and differences,the latter of which reflects the differences existing in the two different ideological systems having formed through thousands of years.In order to bridge cultural gaps,scholars both at home and abroad research different cultures and get different cross-cultural theories,one of which is the cultural dimension theory put forward by the Dutch scholar Hofstede. Based on such a theory,this paper attempts to make clear the root cause of the differences between C hinese culture and French culture so that people of the two cultures can have a better understanding of each other and can communicate fluently with each other and cultural conflicts will thus reduce and there will be more political,economic and cultural communication between the two cultures.展开更多

Based on input-output tables of China in 2005 and2010,this paper gives a deep insight into the relationship between agriculture and national economy and its macroeconomic effects by the methods of input-output analysis,industrial correlation and macroeconomic effect analysis. The results show that the agricultural development is highly dependent on the national economy,but makes low contribution; agriculture contributes to promoting employment and improving the structure of national income distribution; despite the government's tax incentive,the agricultural equipments are updated slowly,and the corporate profits are at low level; agricultural export effect is far below the average industry level,but the import effect increases over the years,and final products are often used for domestic consumption. Finally,we set forth recommendations for improving the development of agriculture and national economy.展开更多

In the context of economic globalization,territory-based bilateral trade statistics are no longer compatible with the reality of cross-border flow of capital factor and rapid emergence of multinational firms.On the ba...In the context of economic globalization,territory-based bilateral trade statistics are no longer compatible with the reality of cross-border flow of capital factor and rapid emergence of multinational firms.On the basis of survey of literature studies,this paper has created a three-country model of bilateral trade based on ownership principle and demonstrated that ownership-based statistical system under this model can reflect bilateral trade volume and balance more objectively,truthfully and comprehensively.In addition to theoretical demonstration,this paper has revaluated China-US trade balance using ownership-based statistical methodology and the result indicates that the existing statistical system of trade severely overestimates the real level of China-US trade balance and FDI in China is a major reason behind increasing China-US trade surplus.展开更多

Findings suggest text patterns of cosmetic advertisements display in various forms and the components of Problem-Solution Pattern are signaled by lexical items as emotive vocabulary with positive or negative meanings and repetition of the brand names. Possible implications are offered for cosmetic advertising industry in writing effective advertisements both in English and Chinese.展开更多
