This paper investigates the macroscopic and microscopic characteristics of viscosity reduction and quality improvement of heavy oil in a supercritical water environment through laboratory experiments and testing. The effect of three reaction parameters,i.e.reaction temperature, reaction time and oil-water ratio,is analyzed on the product and their correlation with viscosity. The results show that the flow state of heavy oil is significantly improved with a viscosity reduction of 99.4%in average after the reaction in the supercritical water.Excessively high reaction temperature leads to a higher content of resins and asphaltenes, with significantly increasing production of coke. The optimal temperature ranges in 380–420℃.Prolonged reaction time could continuously increase the yield of light oil,but it will also results in the growth of resins and asphaltenes, with the optimal reaction time of 150 min.Reducing the oil-water ratio helps improve the diffusion environment within the reaction system and reduce the content of resins and asphaltenes, but it will increase the cost of heavy oil treatment. An oil-water ratio of 1︰2 is considered as optimum to balance the quality improvement, viscosity reduction and reaction economics. The correlation of the three reaction parameters relative to the oil sample viscosity is ranked as temperature, time and oil-water ratio.Among the four fractions of heavy oil,the viscosity is dominated by asphaltene content, followed by aromatic content and less affected by resins and saturates contents. 展开更多

Forced imbibition, the invasion of a wetting fluid into porous rocks, plays an important role in the effective exploitation of hydrocarbon resources and the geological sequestration of carbon dioxide. However, the interface dynamics influenced by complex topology commonly leads to non-wetting fluid trapping.Particularly, the underlying mechanisms under viscously unfavorable conditions remain unclear. This study employs a direct numerical simulation method to simulate forced imbibition through the reconstructed digital rocks of sandstone. The interface dynamics and fluid–fluid interactions are investigated through transient simulations, while the pore topology metrics are introduced to analyze the impact on steady-state residual fluid distribution obtained by a pseudo-transient scheme. The results show that the cooperative pore-filling process promoted by corner flow is dominant at low capillary numbers. This leads to unstable inlet pressure, mass flow, and interface curvature, which correspond to complicated interface dynamics and higher residual fluid saturation.During forced imbibition, the interface curvature gradually increases, with the pore-filling mechanisms involving the cooperation of main terminal meniscus movement and arc menisci filling.Complex topology with small diameter pores may result in the destabilization of interface curvature. The residual fluid saturation is negatively correlated with porosity and pore throat size, and positively correlated with tortuosity and aspect ratio.A large mean coordination number characterizing global connectivity promotes imbibition. However, high connectivity characterized by the standardized Euler number corresponding to small pores is associated with a high probability of non-wetting fluid trapping. 展开更多

Using the ultra-low permeability reservoirs in the L block of the Jiangsu oilfield as an example,a series of experiments, including slim tube displacement experiments of CO_(2)-oil system, injection capacity experiments, and high-temperature,high-pressure online nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)displacement experiments, are conducted to reveal the oil/gas mass transfer pattern and oil production mechanisms during CO_(2) flooding in ultra-low permeability reservoirs. The impacts of CO_(2) storage pore range and miscibility on oil production and CO_(2) storage characteristics during CO_(2) flooding are clarified. The CO_(2) flooding process is divided into three stages:oil displacement stage by CO_(2),CO_(2) breakthrough stage,CO_(2) extraction stage.Crude oil expansion and viscosity reduction are the main mechanisms for improving recovery in the CO_(2) displacement stage. After CO_(2) breakthrough, the extraction of light components from the crude oil further enhances oil recovery.During CO_(2) flooding, the contribution of crude oil in large pores to the enhanced recovery exceeds 46%,while crude oil in medium pores serves as a reserve for incremental recovery. After CO_(2) breakthrough,a small portion of the crude oil is extracted and carried into nano-scale pores by CO_(2),becoming residual oil that is hard to recover. As the miscibility increases, the CO_(2) front moves more stably and sweeps a larger area, leading to increased CO_(2) storage range and volume. The CO_(2) full-storage stage contributes the most to the overall CO_(2) storage volume. In the CO_(2) escape stage, the storage mechanism involves partial in-situ storage of crude oil within the initial pore range and the CO_(2) carrying crude oil into smaller pores to increase the volume of stored CO_(2).In the CO_(2) leakage stage,as crude oil is produced,a significant amount of CO_(2) leaks out, causing a sharp decline in the storage efficiency. 展开更多

The resistivity difference between oil and gas layers and the water layers in low contrast tight sandstone reservoirs is subtle. Fluid identification and saturation calculation based on conventional logging methods are facing challenges in such reservoirs. In this paper, a new method is proposed for fluid identification and saturation calculation in low contrast tight sandstone reservoirs. First, a model for calculating apparent formation water resistivity is constructed, which takes into account the influence of shale on the resistivity calculation and avoids apparent formation water resistivity abnormal values.Based on the distribution of the apparent formation water resistivity obtained by the new model, the water spectrum is determined for fluid identification in low contrast tight sandstone reservoirs.Following this, according to the average, standard deviation, and endpoints of the water spectrum, a new four-parameter model for calculating reservoir oil and gas saturation is built. The methods proposed in this paper are applied to the low contrast tight sandstone reservoirs in the Q4 formation of the X53 block and X70 block in the south of Songliao Basin, China. The results show that the water spectrum method can effectively distinguish oil-water layers and water layers in the study area. The standard deviation of the water spectrum in the oil-water layer is generally greater than that in the water layer. The new four-parameter model yields more accurate oil and gas saturation. These findings verify the effectiveness of the proposed methods. 展开更多

The controlling factors of organic-rich shale accumulation is essential for the exploration and development of shale oil and gas resources. The sedimentary environment plays a vital role in the formation of organic-rich sediments in lacustrine facies. This article unravels the mineralogy, geochemistry, and paleoenvironmental evolution during the deposition of the Paleogene Shahejie Formation(Es_(3)^(L)).It discusses the effects of paleoclimate, paleosalinity, paleoredox conditions, paleowater depth, and paleoproductivity on organic matter(OM)enrichment. Finally, the OM enrichment model was established. The results show that the mineralogical compositions are mainly composed of calcite(avg.40.13%),quartz(avg.21.64%)and clay minerals(avg.24.07%),accompanied by dolomite(avg.7.07%),feldspar(avg.6.36%)and pyrite(avg.2.95%).The Es_(3)^(L) shale has a high abundance of OM,with total organic carbon(TOC)ranging from 1.07%to 5.12%.The organic matter type is mainly composed of type I-II_(1) kerogen, which is generally considered a good-quality source rock. The source of OM is a mixture of lower bacteria, algae, and plants.During the early sedimentary period, the paleoclimate was dry and cold, with high salinity, intense reducibility, and relatively low productivity.During the late sedimentary period, the climate became warmer and more humid. As a result, the salinity decreased to a level that was suitable for biological reproduction, and productivity increased gradually due to the input of terrigenous plants.Paleosalinity and paleoclimate determined the environment of the sedimentary period,in addition, paleoproductivity and paleoredox condition indicated the formation and preservation conditions of OM.The warm and humid climate, brackish water, suitable reduction conditions and high productivity are the favorable conditions for the generation and preservation of organic matter. The research results may have implications for the genetic mechanisms of organic matter accumulation. They will provide theoretical and technical insights into the exploration and development of shale oil. 展开更多

In extended-reach or long-horizontal drilling, cuttings usually deposit at the bottom of the annulus.Once cuttings accumulate to a certain thickness, complex problems such as excessive torque and drag, tubing buckling, and pipe stuck probably occur, which results in a lot of non-productive time and remedial operations.Cuttings bed remover can efficiently destroy deposited cuttings in time through hydraulic and mechanical stirring effects. This paper aims to build a method for hole cleaning evaluation and installation spacing optimization of cuttings bed remover to improve the wellbore cleaning effect.Firstly,a Computational Fluid Dynamics approach with Eulerian—Eulerian multiphase model was utilized to investigate the mechanism of cuttings transportation, and a new type of cuttings bed remover was designed.Next,an evaluation method of hole cleaning effect of remover was established. After that, the effects of several drilling parameters on hole cleaning including flow rate of drilling fluid, rotational speed of drillpipe, rate of penetration, wellbore size, rheological property of drilling fluid, and remover eccentricity on the performance of cuttings bed remover were investigated. The results demonstrate that the new type of remover with streamline blade performs better than conventional removers. The efficiency of hole cleaning is greatly improved by increasing the rotational speed of drillpipe, flow rate of drilling fluid, remover eccentricity, and 6 rpm Fann dial reading for drilling fluid. While higher rate of penetration and large wellbore size result in worse hole cleaning. These findings can serve as an important guide for the structure optimization design of cuttings bed remover and installation spacing of removers. 展开更多

The difference in microstructure leads to the diversity of shale mechanical properties and bedding fractures distribution patterns. In this paper, the microstructure and mechanical properties of Longmaxi marine shale and Qingshankou continental shale were studied by X-ray diffractometer(XRD),field emission scanning electron microscope(FE-SEM)with mineral analysis system, and nanoindentation.Additionally, the typical bedding layers area was properly stratified using Focused Ion Beam(FIB),and the effects of microstructure and mechanical properties on the distribution patterns of bedding fractures were analyzed. The results show that the Longmaxi marine shale sample contains more clay mineral grains, while the Qingshankou continental shale sample contains more hard brittle mineral grains such as feldspar. For Longmaxi marine shale sample, hard brittle minerals with grain sizes larger than 20μm is18.24%and those with grain sizes smaller than 20μm is 16.22%.For Qingshankou continental shale sample, hard brittle minerals with grain sizes larger than 20μm is 40.7%and those with grain sizes smaller than 20μm is 11.82%.In comparison to the Qingshankou continental shale sample, the Longmaxi marine shale sample has a lower modulus, hardness, and heterogeneity.Laminated shales are formed by alternating coarse-grained and fine-grained layers during deposition. The average single-layer thickness of Longmaxi marine shale sample is greater than Qingshankou continental shale sample. The two types of shale have similar bedding fractures distribution patterns and fractures tend to occur in the transition zone from coarse-grained to fine-grained deposition. The orientation of the fracture is usually parallel to the bedding plane and detour occurs in the presence of hard brittle grains. The fracture distribution density of the Longmaxi marine shale sample is lower than that of the Qingshankou continental shale sample due to the strong heterogeneity of the Qingshankou continental shale. The current research provides guidelines for the effective development of shale reservoirs in various sedimentary environments. 展开更多

Research on reservoir rock stress sensitivity has traditionally focused on unary granular structures, neglecting the binary nature of real reservoirs, especially tight reservoirs.Understanding the stresssensitive behavior and mathematical characterization of binary granular media remains a challenging task.In this study,we conducted online-NMR experiments to investigate the permeability and porosity evolution as well as stress-sensitive control mechanisms in tight sandy conglomerate samples. The results revealed stress sensitivity coefficients between 0.042 and 0.098 and permeability damage rates ranging from 65.6%to 90.9%,with an average pore compression coefficient of 0.0168—0.0208 MPa 1.Pore-scale compression occurred in three stages:filling, compression, and compaction, with matrix pores playing a dominant role in pore compression. The stress sensitivity of binary granular media was found to be influenced by the support structure and particle properties.High stress sensitivity was associated with small fine particle size, high fines content, high uniformity coefficient of particle size, high plastic deformation, and low Young's modulus.Matrix-supported samples exhibited a high irreversible permeability damage rate(average=74.2%)and stress sensitivity coefficients(average=0.089),with pore spaces more slit-like.In contrast,grain-supported samples showed low stress sensitivity coefficients(average=0.021)at high stress stages.Based on the experiments,we developed a mathematical model for stress sensitivity in binary granular media, considering binary granular properties and nested interactions using Hertz contact deformation and Poiseuille theory.By describing the change in activity content of fines under stress,we characterized the non-stationary state of compressive deformation in the binary granular structure and classified the reservoir into three categories. The model was applied for production prediction using actual data from the Mahu reservoir in China, showing that the energy retention rates of support-dominated,fill-dominated,and matrix-controlled reservoirs should be higher than 70.1%,88%,and 90.2%,respectively. 展开更多

The continental shale reservoirs of Jurassic Lianggaoshan Formation in Sichuan Basin contain thin lamina, which is characterized by strong plasticity and developed longitudinal shell limestone interlayer. To improve the production efficiency of reservoirs by multi-cluster fracturing,it is necessary to consider the unbalanced propagation of hydraulic fractures and the penetration effect of fractures. This paper constructed a numerical model of multi-fracture propagation and penetration based on the finite element coupling cohesive zone method;considering the construction cluster spacing, pump rate, lamina strength and other parameters studied the influencing factors of multi-cluster fracture interaction propagation;combined with AE energy data and fracture mode reconstruction method, quantitatively characterized the comprehensive impact of the strength of thin interlayer rock interfaces on the initiation and propagation of fractures that penetrate layers, and accurately predicted the propagation pattern of hydraulic fractures through laminated shale oil reservoirs.Simulation results revealed that in the process of multi-cluster fracturing, the proportion of shear damage is low,and mainly occurs in bedding fractures activated by outer fractures.Reducing the cluster spacing enhances the fracture system's penetration ability, though it lowers the activation efficiency of lamina. The high plasticity of the limestone interlayer may impact the vertical propagation distance of the main fracture.Improving the interface strength is beneficial to the reconstruction of the fracture height, but the interface communication effect is limited.Reasonable selection of layers with moderate lamina strength for fracturing stimulation, increasing the pump rate during fracturing and setting the cluster spacing reasonably are beneficial to improve the effect of reservoir stimulation. 展开更多

Cambrian shales in China and elsewhere contain abundant oil and gas resources. However, due to its deep burial and limited outcrop, there has been relatively little research conducted on it.The Cambrian shale of the Tadong low uplift in the Tarim Basin of western China, specifically the Xidashan-Xishanbulake Formation(Fm.)and overlying Moheershan Fm.provide a case study through the use of organic petrology, mineralogy, organic and elemental geochemistry, with the aim of analyzing and exploring the hydrocarbon generation potential(PG)and organic matter(OM)enrichment mechanisms within these shale formations. The results indicate that:(1)the Cambrian shale of the Tadong low uplift exhibits relatively dispersed OM that consists of vitrinite-like macerals and solid bitumen. These formations have a higher content of quartz and are primarily composed of silica-based lithology;(2)shale samples from the Xidashan-Xishanbulake and Moheershan formations demonstrate high total organic carbon(TOC)and low pyrolytic hydrocarbon content(S_(2))content.The OM is predominantly typeⅠand typeⅡkerogens, indicating a high level of maturation in the wet gas period. These shales have undergone extensive hydrocarbon generation, showing characteristics of relatively poor PG;(3)the sedimentary environments of the Xidashan-Xishanbulake and Moheershan formations in the Tadong low uplift are similar. They were deposited in warm and humid climatic conditions,in oxygen-deficient environments, with stable terrigenous inputs, high paleoproductivity, high paleosalinity, weak water-holding capacity, and no significant hydrothermal activity;and(4)the relationship between TOC and the paleoproductivity parameter(P/Ti)is most significant in the Lower Cambrian Xidashan-Xishanbulake Fm.,whereas correlation with other indicators is not evident. This suggests a productivity-driven OM enrichment model, where input of landderived material was relatively small during the Middle Cambrian, and the ancient water exhibited lower salinity.A comprehensive pattern was formed under the combined control of paleoproductivity and preservation conditions. This study provides valuable guidance for oil and gas exploration in the Tarim Basin. 展开更多

Fracture effectiveness plays a key role in gas productivity of ultra-deep tight sandstone reservoirs,Kuqa depression,Tarim Basin.Based on cores, thin sections, well logging, well testing and production data, the study evaluated fracture effectiveness and illustrated its impacts on gas productivity.High-angle and vertical shear fractures are the most important types.Distribution of effective fractures shows great heterogeneous.Fracture effectiveness is influenced by tectonism, diagenesis and in-situ stress.Earlier fractures or fractures in close to gypsum rock are easier to be filled.Completely filled fractures can be reopened under late tectonism.Dissolution improves local fracture effectiveness.Minerals spanning fracture surfaces protect fracture effectiveness from late compression.Fractures filled with calcite can be activated by acidification.Effective fractures parallel to maximum horizontal principal compressive stress direction show larger aperture.Overpressure can decrease the effective normal stress to maintain fracture effectiveness. With exploitation, decline in pore pressure reduces fracture effectiveness.Linear density, aperture, and strike of effective fractures influence gas productivity.Effective fractures greatly enhance matrix permeability. Therefore, more abundant and larger aperture fractures are always corresponded to higher productivity. However, effective fractures also facilitate late water invasion, especially, both mutually parallel.Intense water invasion leads to rapidly declines in productivity. 展开更多

This paper expounds the basic principles and structures of the whole petroleum system to reveal the pattern of conventional oil/gas-tight oil/gas-shale oil/gas sequential accumulation and the hydrocarbon accumulation models and mechanisms of the whole petroleum system. It delineates the geological model, flow model, and production mechanism of shale and tight reservoirs, and proposes future research orientations. The main structure of the whole petroleum system includes three fluid dynamic fields, three types of oil and gas reservoirs/resources,and two types of reservoir-forming processes.Conventional oil/gas,tight oil/gas,and shale oil/gas are orderly in generation time and spatial distribution, and sequentially rational in genetic mechanism, showing the pattern of sequential accumulation. The whole petroleum system involves two categories of hydrocarbon accumulation models:hydrocarbon accumulation in the detrital basin and hydrocarbon accumulation in the carbonate basin/formation.The accumulation of unconventional oil/gas is self-containment,which is microscopically driven by the intermolecular force(van der Waals force). The unconventional oil/gas production has proved that the geological model, flow model, and production mechanism of shale and tight reservoirs represent a new and complex field that needs further study.Shale oil/gas must be the most important resource replacement for oil and gas resources of China.Future research efforts include:(1)the characteristics of the whole petroleum system in carbonate basins and the source-reservoir coupling patterns in the evolution of composite basins;(2)flow mechanisms in migration, accumulation, and production of shale oil/gas and tight oil/gas;(3)geological characteristics and enrichment of deep and ultra-deep shale oil/gas,tight oil/gas and coalbed methane;(4)resource evaluation and new generation of basin simulation technology of the whole petroleum system;(5)research on earth system-earth organic rock and fossil fuel system-whole petroleum system. 展开更多

Injecting CO_(2)when the gas reservoir of tight sandstone is depleted can achieve the dual purposes of greenhouse gas storage and enhanced gas recovery(CS-EGR).To evaluate the feasibility of CO_(2)injection to enhance gas recovery and understand the production mechanism,a numerical simulation model of CS-EGR in multi-stage fracturing horizontal wells is established. The behavior of gas production and CO_(2)sequestration is then analyzed through numerical simulation, and the impact of fracture parameters on production performance is examined.Simulation results show that the production rate increases significantly and a large amount of CO_(2)is stored in the reservoir, proving the technical potential. However, hydraulic fractures accelerate CO_(2)breakthrough,resulting in lower gas recovery and lower CO_(2)storage than in gas reservoirs without fracturing.Increasing the length of hydraulic fractures can significantly increase CH4production,but CO_(2)breakthrough will advance.Staggered and spaced perforation of hydraulic fractures in injection wells and production wells changes the fluid flow path, which can delay CO_(2)breakthrough and benefit production efficiency. The fracture network of massive hydraulic fracturing has a positive effect on the CS-EGR.As a result,CH4production,gas recovery, and CO_(2)storage increase with the increase in stimulated reservoir volume. 展开更多

Inadequate strength and stability of active crude oil emulsions stabilized by conventional surfactants always lead to a limited plugging rate of plugging agents. Thus,to address this issue, the synthesis of amphiphilic Janus nanosheets was effectively carried out for enhancing the system performances and subsequently characterized.Based on the outcomes of orthogonal tests,an assessment was conducted on the nanosheet and surfactant formulations to optimize the enhancement of emulsion properties. The experimental demonstration of the complex system has revealed its remarkable emulsifying capability, ability to decrease interfacial tension and improve rheological behavior at high temperature(80℃)and high salinity(35,000 ppm)conditions.Involving probable mechanism of the system performance enhancement is elucidated by considering the synergistic effect between surfactants and nanosheets.Furthermore, variables including water-to-oil ratio, salinity, temperature and stirring intensity during operation, which affect the properties of prepared emulsions, were investigated in detail. The efficacy and stability of the complex system in obstructing medium and high permeability cores were demonstrated.Notably, the core with a high permeability of 913.58 mD exhibited a plugging rate of 98.55%.This study establishes the foundations of medium and high permeability reservoirs plugging with novel active crude oil plugging agents in severe environments. 展开更多

The shale revolution has turned the United States from an oil importer into an oil exporter. The success of shale oil production in the U.S.has inspired many countries, including China,to begin the exploitation and development of shale oil resources. In this study, the production curves of over 30,000 shale oil wells in the Bakken,Eagle Ford(EF)and Permian are systematically analyzed to provide reference and guidance for future shale oil development. To find out the most suitable decline curve models for shale oil wells, fifteen models and a new fitting method are tested on wells with production history over 6 years.Interestingly, all basins show similar results despite of their varieties in geological conditions:stretched exponential production decline(SEPD)+Arps model provides most accurate prediction of estimated ultimate recovery(EUR)for wells with over 2 years'production, while the Arps model can be used before the two years'switch point. With the EUR calculated by decline curve analysis,we further construct simple regression models for different basins to predict the EUR quickly and early. This work helps us better understand the production of shale oil wells,as well as provide important suggestions for the choices of models for shale oil production prediction. 展开更多

Huge numbers of induced unpropped(IU)fractures are generated near propped fractures during hydraulic fracturing in shale gas reservoirs. But it is still unclear how their fracture space and conductivity evolve under in-situ conditions. This paper prepares three types of samples, namely, manually split vertical/parallel to beddings(MSV,MSP)and parallel natural fractures(NFP),to represent the varied IU fractures as well as their surface morphology.Laser scan and reconstruction demonstrate that the initial fracture spaces of MSVs and MSPs are limited as the asperities of newly created surfaces are wellmatched, and the NFPs have bigger space due to inhomogeneous geological corrosion.Surface slippage and consequent asperity mismatch increase the fracture width by several times, and the increase is proportional to surface roughness.Under stressful conditions, the slipped MSVs retain the smallest residual space and conductivity due to the newly sharp asperities.Controlled by the bedding structures and clay mineral hydrations, the conductivity of MSPs decreases most after treated with a fracturing fluid. The NFPs remain the highest conductivity, benefitting from their dispersive, gentle, and strong asperities. The results reveal the diverse evolution trends of IU fractures and can provide reliable parameters for fracturing design,post-fracturing evaluation, and productivity forecasting. 展开更多

By considering the thermo poroelastic effects of rock, the constitutive relationship of fatigue deterioration of rock under cyclic loading,elastic-brittle failure criteria and wellbore stress superposition effects,a thermal-hydraulic-mechanicalfatigue damage coupled model for fracture propagation during soft hydraulic fracturing in hot dry rock(HDR)was established and validated.Based on this model, numerical simulations were conducted to investigate the fracture initiation and propagation characteristics in HDR under the combined effects of different temperatures and cyclic loading. The results are obtained in three aspects.First, cyclic injection, fluid infiltration, pore pressure accumulation, and rock strength deterioration collectively induce fatigue damage of rocks during soft hydraulic fracturing.Second, the fracture propagation pattern of soft hydraulic fracturing in HDR is jointly controlled by temperature difference and cyclic loading.A larger temperature difference generates stronger thermal stress, facilitating the formation of complex fracture networks. As cyclic loading decreases, the influence range of thermal stress expands. When the cyclic loading is 90%pb and 80%pb(where pb is the breakdown pressure during conventional hydraulic fracturing),the stimulated reservoir area increases by 88.33% and 120%,respectively,compared to conventional hydraulic fracturing(with an injection temperature of 25℃).Third,as cyclic loading is further reduced, the reservoir stimulation efficiency diminishes. When the cyclic loading decreases to 70%pb,the fluid pressure far away from the wellbore cannot reach the minimum breakdown pressure of the rock, resulting in no macroscopic hydraulic fractures. 展开更多

In order to identify the development characteristics of fracture network in tight conglomerate reservoir of Mahu after hydraulic fracturing,a hydraulic fracturing test site was set up in the second and third members of Triassic Baikouquan Formation(T1b2 and T1b3)in Ma-131 well area, which learned from the successful experience of hydraulic fracturing test sites in North America(HFTS-1).Twelve horizontal wells and a high-angle coring well MaJ02 were drilled. The orientation, connection, propagation law and major controlling factors of hydraulic fractures were analyzed by comparing results of CT scans, imaging logs, direct observation of cores from Well MaJ02,and combined with tracer monitoring data. Results indicate that:(1)Two types of fractures have developed by hydraulic fracturing,i.e.tensile fractures and shear fractures.Tensile fractures are approximately parallel to the direction of the maximum horizontal principal stress, and propagate less than 50 m from perforation clusters.Shear fractures are distributed among tensile fractures and mainly in the strike-slip mode due to the induced stress field among tensile fractures, and some of them are in conjugated pairs.Overall, tensile fractures alternate with shear fractures, with shear fractures dominated and activated after tensile ones.(2)Tracer monitoring results indicate that communication between wells was prevalent in the early stage of production, and the static pressure in the fracture gradually decreased and the connectivity between wells reduced as production progressed.(3)Density of hydraulic fractures is mainly affected by the lithology and fracturing parameters, which is smaller in the mudstone than the conglomerate.Larger fracturing scale and smaller cluster spacing lead to a higher fracture density, which are important directions to improve the well productivity. 展开更多
